This game has the smallest scope but it's atmosphere is at such a grand scale. It makes two school boys fighting feel like a battle for the fate of the world.
In a way, it does feel like it's for the fate of Jimmy's world. Gary made everyone hate him and is about to put the blame for the the school riot on Jimmy.. If he succeeds, then Jimmy stays expelled and might spend time in the asylum for his antics.

Teacher here, and this game is surprisingly accurate, Rockstar must have consulted a few burnt out/bitter teachers to show them what a school is really like. Hattrick vs. Galloway: Accurate. Teachers gang up on each other and try to sabotage the career of others for advancement purposes. It happens way too often, and I've been in Galloway's position before (not drinking on campus, obviously) but having a bully colleague try to force me out (my bully met the same career fate Hattrick did) Gary: Manipulative students exist just like manipulative adults exist. I've yet to see one who could turn the entire campus into their own dictatorship/army, but .... I hope I NEVER DO see that. Crabblesnitch: Principal who has no idea what is actually going on at his campus, thinks the most toxic colleagues are actually the 'top teachers', ignores student concerns, acts high and mighty in his office like a wannabe academic. Perfect caricature of your average 'bad principal' today, flawlessly captured. Mr. Burton: Accurate, these types always end up getting caught/fired/prosecuted, but they exist, and you will see them/know who they are as an adult on campus, everybody usually does. Harrington: Accurate, the wealthier families have far more influence over school politics/school direction than the others, they are usually treated more favorably by administration and this can lead to the child developing a 'god complex' if this goes on long enough without the child being taught more about empathy/different perspectives/struggles while growing up. "Go See The Principal" Mission: Half-accurate, I've seen inept principals like Crabblesnitch be told off just like that in person, but it's never a student doing it, it's a teacher. If that scene would have been Galloway saying Jimmy's lines, it'd be 100% spot on. Considering doing a playthrough of this game for a stream to show my genuine reactions to shit that goes on in-game/open my 'vault' of middle school stories for the audience, but eh, idk.

After all, Gary does help him out in the beginning, and I get the sense that Jimmy's the kind of guy who doesn't ask a lot of questions. (which is one of the reasons I kinda wish Pete was more questioning in-game, what with him being a counterbalance to Jimmy and Gary, but hey, I'll take what I can get) As for the player's point of view, all of Gary's tutorial bits do turn out to be useful and important parts of gameplay, so a less genre-savy player may be inclined to trust him too. I wouldn't know, since I'd already been reading fanfiction for this game for a couple years before I actually played it.

Man oh man, I remember getting so hyped with this music. It made fighting Gary extra exciting. I waited so long to get his ass after all the misery he put me through. And when the showdown came up, the music just intensified the fight. It's sad that I just outright owned him (I blame the music for it) but it just fits perfect with it. Definitely the best instrumental in the game. The Perfect name for it too.
Did you know that the end of Bully when Gary and Jimmy fall from the school building Gary was originally going to Die? But if that was the choice the game would not be rated Teen anymore.
Jimmy was also going to have a death in the game as well. If you lost during one of the boss fights (The Townie one, I believe), Jimmy would fall into acid while the townies laugh. I'm personally happy they didn't put in either of the deaths.

I loved this boss fight, because whilst Gary was immensely smart and psychologically overpowering, he was pathetic when you got him where you wanted. The chase part is Gary's cowardly ways on show, his last attempt at trying to escape from Jimmy because he knows that if he gets cornered into a fight, he won't win. As I think someone has said before, the whole game (as in taking over the separate cliques and Complete Mayhem) is beating Gary. Final Showdown is just finishing him off. Perfect
This boss music is perfect. Has layers (like a rotten onion) but a simple foundation. Conveys drama but doesn't distract from the game. Methodical but not too repetitive. So many boss themes over-do it. This one has just the right amount of everything.

Matěj Mikesh That mission really isn't that hard, just don't get too close to the train. But on the playstation, the missions from Zero are an absolute hellhole. On the computer, any flying mission (except, in my experience, the one with the jet) is horrible because the controls are so shitty.
well the game wasn't easy (ironicaly the nerd boss was one of the hardest, he took me down 1 time until i managed to get the strategy for beat him)... what was easy was that last mission, is a little bit too... dissapointing
When you hear this theme, it symbolizes anger. The guitar and low piano. You chase gary, all the way to the top of the school, where he mocks you, calling you native and too trustworthy. And at the end of the day, gary still is only able to use his words and not his fists.
Is no one going to talk about the fact that this sounds incredibly similar to a piece of music from Pirates of the Caribbean? In fact when I first heard it, I thought it was a remixed version of that soundtrack.
You know the bullworth emblem's signs remind me of something The fist is for the Bully faction. The snake is for Nerds, remember when Gary said their sneaky bastards? Snitching and betraying? The rats are the Greasers because... you know or maybe the Townies. The skull is for the Jocks And the Preps? Possibly the fancy looking leaf lines.
Adrian Shephard I think that they all represent something that happens in the game. The fist represents all the fighting that must be done to complete the game, the snake represents Gary, as he betrayed Jimmy and everyone else. The rat, maybe representing the dirty lies that spread around Bullworth. Like Lola cheating, Galloway drinking, etc. And the skull represents death. Not literal death, but what must be lost to finish the game.

I loved this boss fight, because whilst Gary was immensely smart and psychologically overpowering, he was pathetic when you got him where you wanted. The chase part is Gary's cowardly ways on show, his last attempt at trying to escape from Jimmy because he knows that if he gets cornered into a fight, he won't win. As I think someone has said before, the whole game (as in taking over the separate cliques and Complete Mayhem) is beating Gary. Final Showdown is just finishing him off. Perfect

Has layers (like a rotten onion) but a simple foundation.
Conveys drama but doesn't distract from the game.
Methodical but not too repetitive.
So many boss themes over-do it. This one has just the right amount of everything.

Matěj Mikesh That mission really isn't that hard, just don't get too close to the train. But on the playstation, the missions from Zero are an absolute hellhole. On the computer, any flying mission (except, in my experience, the one with the jet) is horrible because the controls are so shitty.

well the game wasn't easy (ironicaly the nerd boss was one of the hardest, he took me down 1 time until i managed to get the strategy for beat him)... what was easy was that last mission, is a little bit too... dissapointing

When you hear this theme, it symbolizes anger. The guitar and low piano. You chase gary, all the way to the top of the school, where he mocks you, calling you native and too trustworthy. And at the end of the day, gary still is only able to use his words and not his fists.

The fist represents all the fighting that must be done to complete the game, the snake represents Gary, as he betrayed Jimmy and everyone else. The rat, maybe representing the dirty lies that spread around Bullworth. Like Lola cheating, Galloway drinking, etc. And the skull represents death. Not literal death, but what must be lost to finish the game.
