But instead they decide to make a main antagonist who isn't physically impressive at all, but rather cunning and manipulative. I found that absolutely brilliant.

I think they wanted this to be more satisfying for the player, to finally... *finally*... beat the living shit out of Gary. Also, keep in mind that Gary was never and is not a fighter. He always gets other kids to do his dirty work for him. So it's no surprise that he's not all too physically capable. In fact, he spends the majority of the fight running away and creating obstacles rather than fighting Jimmy head on.
Well, then Rockstar fucked up because in the game files Gary actually has unused evades for your punches. This means the fight was actually going to be harder. Also what do you mean he wasn't really a fighter? he was able to do Jimmy's side kick even though according to the hobo that was a martial arts army move

Good examples are when he tricks Russell to attack Jimmy in chapter 1, making up lies to Tad right in front of Jimmy in chapter 2 and in chapter 5 where when Jimmy becomes king of the school lies to the Townies to do crimes and pin the blame on Jimmy for neglecting his role as guardian of the school such as lighting the gym on fire, taking Johnny Vincent to the mental ward, Stealing the Preppies Trophies and planting rats into the library. Gary lets others do the dirty work for him.

I love how this sounds epic, larger than life. You'd listen to it and imagine two warriors on a blood soaked battlefield fighting to the death, when in reality it's just a pair of teens on the roof of a boarding school during a thunderstorm just repeatedly punching the shit outta each other
But the stakes are just as high respectively. The two warriors fight for the fate of their kingdoms, which they would probably have been protecting for years. And these two teens are fighting for the fate of their school, which they've been fighting for for a year.
This is so fucking good - The vocals giving off such a feeling of pride - The steady drum beat which isn't too fast or intense , giving you just the right amount of steady satisfaction as you finally put the guy who has been tormenting you throughout the game in his place - finally the guitar which is actually surprisingly sombre and mellow giving you time to appreciate just how far you have come to this point - It's almost like the game is musically expressing "Yes - YOU did this. You fought your way here - You went through the turmoil's , the tribulations and by god we are going to give you the most perfectly satisfying yet cool and collected musical backing as you exact the vengeance you so truly deserve. So simple and yet so masterful.

the feeling of being able to reach the end, after having done exactly everything, all the trajectories, the stories, the ascendancies and the downfalls. have been through many hardships, faced many enemies, many rivals, nerds, jockers, greasers, playboys, townmans the last act arrives and possibly one of the best battles of all games, the battle between you and Gary. for many the battle can be a breeze, but the question is how rockstar made this battle, not to be the most challenging, but also the most satisfying, the final victory, to finally shut up from whoever shut his mouth, the great battle that separates not the boys from the idiots, but rather, separates the men from the boys, jimmy separates from gary, where finally the sociopath's reign ends. Simply one of the best games I've ever played 🥋

You've tried telling your higher-ups that he's constantly been tormenting you, but they never believe it. On one day of school, there he is. In the field, again with tormenting. This time, however, he wants to beat you up to remind you; he's more powerful, and there's nothing you can do about it. On the other hand, you've made your ultimatum, and decided there's only one way forward. You wanted this moment to happen. Mother nature complies with this new approach. You are greeted by the gloomy effect of the dark clouds which emit heavy rains and thunder that blasts the ears of all the residents in town. All the aggression built up from the stubborn ignorance of your higher-ups, and the constant torment he can get away with as a result can all go away in the fated showdown between you and your antagonist. If it's a fight he wants, then by god it's a fight he will get. Nothing will save him from the wrath of your rage. Imagine in this very moment that this song plays in the background as it puts a huge emphasis on the biggest message of the showdown: This is the end.

Plus, the "Bully" is relatable and a perfect name for the game that also have a dark side of student life with the ugliness and a delinquently chaos. Not to mentioned the dark side of Jimmy's in the future past, indeed. It's no wonder why Bullworth been labeled as the worst and chaotic (fictional) school in US. It's like Western Suzuran with having a female staff and female student in it.

I was honostly scared when i was about to fight gary but once i heard this music i was chill idk why but a fighting game with good background music makes the games so much easier
I remember spending nights playing the game, collecting Secrets, Going to classes, molesting cops, But most important, Giving all my efforts to complete the missions, even buying the game various times since it stopped worked for me constantly. and then, The final missions hit, Jimmy beating and gaining respect of bands outside of school, And the fucking Final Mision. The school in chaos, Fight everywhere, Cops in the entrance, And only You to restore the normality. I just loved it so Much. And then 0:00 the final boss, first game ever In wich i get to the final part, and man this music when started playing, I just know for how different sounded that things were about to get serious Just fucking Blowed My Mind, And the adrenaline went to the skys, from the obstacles, to the bells, and obviously, being in the highest place of the school and the final confrontation, + the cutscene before Using all techniques you've learn on the way to beat the shit out of gary, descending from platforms and ending the fight victorius from that asshole. the fight was not really complicated? No, But the construction Rockstar made, every single detail, from the Main Building Without Lights, The descendant fight, everything It may be just the nostalgia of being the first game i ever completed but Fuck it, I Love this Game.
Things I Would Like To See In Bully 2 (if we had one coming): •some sort of message to jimmy from gary to let jimmy know that gary’s back for revenge •pete as head boy •more places to go •harder missions, most of them being something to do with gary •a more overwhelming final battle between jimmy and gary, where gary got stronger •a relaxing ending where gary is finally put into an asylum or prison (he was only expelled in the original one) •we’re keeping endless summer i love my freeplay
every time i listen to this song i want to start the game and finish it again, first time i played it was around 2009, then i finished it hips of times, i did 100% twice and damn, i would do it again, this game is an absolute masterpiece, i love all the fantasy in the game, as some place and life that i would and would not like to live. Well they only made the anniversary edition for bully a few days ago..The only difference is you can play the minigames online and it is on mobile devices
Weirdly enough, I think the perfect sequel to Bully would be taking place in a Prison. Have Jimmy get falsely accused of a crime he didn't commit and sentenced to prison time. The entire game's system doesn't have to change either, where the class periods would be converted to periods of time in the prison causing guards to chase you down if you're not where you need to be and potential punishments be added for being disruptive. Cliques could be converted into Gangs. It almost writes itself.
For those complaining that Gary wasn't a tough final boss, don't forget the bulk of the final mission was spent re-fighting all the previous bosses, so you got all the hard fights with them already.
Hes a joke because it allows you to get an easy beat in to satisfy your anger to beat the shit out of him. Hes physically weak but he has a manipulative mind instead.
I think they intended the fight to be easy. So you can finally. FINALLY. Beat the crap out of Gary. Gary wasn’t even that much of a fighter. That’s why he had other people who were more of a fighter than him do his dirty work. It explains why he likes to create obstacles and run away.

His punches do hurt, though. 10% of your hp is taken each time he hits you. I calculated it.

Anyone else notice the Xylophone and Bass are always doing different melodies/notes in every track, but here they're doing the same like they're facing off with eachother? The Bass represents Jimmy and the Xylophone represents Gary
Even with Gary being not capable of some thing normal people are, even with some Head Problems, and even being weak and coward, let's just appreciate how he was an easy manipulator? First Russell, then Preppies, Then The entire School was against him
Also, Jimmy just came to the School and probably 1 year later (as the Seasons goes through) he saves the whole TOWN. Imagine his Mom's reaction by hearing what he did, by Doctor Crabblesnitch

Such an iconic logo for the fiction school that is Bullworth Academy specifically with the Bulls with its fur around the logo. Plus, the "Bully" is relatable and a perfect name for the game that also have a dark side of student life with the ugliness and a delinquently chaos. Not to mentioned the dark side of Jimmy's in the future past, indeed. It's no wonder why Bullworth been labeled as the worst and chaotic (fictional) school in US. It's like Western Suzuran with having a female staff and female student in it.

I remember spending nights playing the game, collecting Secrets, Going to classes, molesting cops, But most important, Giving all my efforts to complete the missions, even buying the game various times since it stopped worked for me constantly. and then, The final missions hit, Jimmy beating and gaining respect of bands outside of school, And the fucking Final Mision. The school in chaos, Fight everywhere, Cops in the entrance, And only You to restore the normality.

Weirdly enough, I think the perfect sequel to Bully would be taking place in a Prison. Have Jimmy get falsely accused of a crime he didn't commit and sentenced to prison time. The entire game's system doesn't have to change either, where the class periods would be converted to periods of time in the prison causing guards to chase you down if you're not where you need to be and potential punishments be added for being disruptive.
Cliques could be converted into Gangs. It almost writes itself.
Only thing is that it'd lose it's charm a bit, would feel more GTA than Bully.

For those complaining that Gary wasn't a tough final boss, don't forget the bulk of the final mission was spent re-fighting all the previous bosses, so you got all the hard fights with them already.

I think they intended the fight to be easy. So you can finally. FINALLY. Beat the crap out of Gary. Gary wasn’t even that much of a fighter. That’s why he had other people who were more of a fighter than him do his dirty work. It explains why he likes to create obstacles and run away.
