    Dude! I absolutely love your music marketing videos... I really REALLY appreciate that you've taken the time to edit your content so it only has the most relevant info in it. The message is complete, succinct and actionable! Outstanding work!
    One thing that I feel would be an improvement is to leave the background music out. I don't know why people do it... It's distracting and devalues the message.
    Please keep creating these videos though... You are making the world a better place with them!

    y'all are so good, i literally just uber-eagerly signed up for the seven dollar fb thing, even though i've been studying fb ads for years, and have paid five hundred bucks for a course that was just 'ok.' good. job. yall.

    it's tough for sure. I definitely see less engagement these days versus when it I first started doing ads years ago. I think, in part, people see a lot of ads already on Facebook and over time start to ignore them which means It's more important than ever to get more specific and targeted with them.

      Hey Frontier, thanks for sharing your experience! We've found that engagement hasn't necessarily gone away on Facebook, but it's definitely changed. We're seeing the same kind of highly positive engagement on Instagram that we used to see on Facebook - but, Facebook is usually still the more profitable platform (and you have more flexibility in how you advertise).

    The bands my music sounds like are not even listed in the Facebook search. I do Metal Covers of popular songs. All metal bands sounding similar or the Spotify bands my fans are listening to are not even on there. How can I create a good targeted audience then?

    That is definitelly a good and useful piece of sheet, if you thinking of throwing big and established artists in there ONLY. I been trying to do all of this with "Bryson Tiller" and almost non of the high affanity pages that are similar to Bryson Tiller are selectable later when creating the actual ad itself! Not sure why facebook isnt letting us use these pages for our ads but it would for sure make things way more precise . But now, well damnit.. I have to sacrafice the audiences that the FB Audience Manager suggested with anything that comes close to my Seed Artist but is at least selectable in my damn interest box within my adset lvl.

    Very excited to start using this great resource, however I have 3 questions: 1- Do I include JUST the bands that have the most affinity with my targeted band, or also any of the Top Categories (tv show, media etc) . 2- my demographic is largely 25-34 males, should I enter THAT audience in the Audience Insights when researching my targeted band instead of the whole audience like you did in your video. 3- When I finally run my FB ad and put in the interests of my target audience do I enter fans of "band x AND band y", or "band x OR band y"? Any help much appreciated.

    Yo circa just downloaded the cheat sheet . My question is after I’ve gotten all my interests down do I lump them altogether into one audience or do I duplicate the ad then use the different audiences respectively? 💚

    Rad, thanks man. I wanna hear your music now, I’m definitely intrigued by anyone influenced by Ottis Redding and the Misfits. I was in a “punk bluegrass” band (for lack of a better simple description) for years so I really enjoy taking musical genres and forcing them to make babies (usually at gunpoint....) and seeing what kind of abomination is created (keep that gun handy, it might not be pretty and you may have to send it back to the depths of hell from whence it came). Where can I find your music? Oh and it was really quick so I can’t be sure but you get extra points if that was a Silvertone guitar you were playing....

    Hey! Super helpful and I'm going through the fan finder course at the moment. I noticed since I'm in a pretty neich genre, that I don't have a lot of artist that actually pop up in the "interest" search! Does that make sense? I made sure that they all have pages etc, but I guess not enough following? What should I do?

      same problem here. I cant add any similar (not so popular) artist to my adset because it wont even let me select them even though FB audience recommended them.

    Do I only need to run the campaign for one day to find which audience works best?

      No, you ideally would want to spend a week on it if possible to really know what is performing the best. One day could produce any number of flukes, especially since the ads may not all be shown equally. Plus $5 a day only produces a very small sample size.

    I cat get onto the FB business service as described in Australia Using the URL business.facebook com. I get put through to the FB business suite which only allows me to analyse my personal data. How do I get onto the site as illustrated here?

    Spent $100 got 10,000 views, some liked the page and left a comment and all that, but whenever I post a story or on my wall I get a very small interaction as if the people who ended up liking the page don’t see the new posts

      Organic posting is not a very reliable or effective promotion method. I would retarget your viewers with follow up ads until you can get them on an email or text list, where you can market to them for nearly free.

    How many days at $5 per day can give you an accurate idea of which interest perform the best?

      I realize it says $70, which would be 1 day per audience. Is 1 day really enough time to test the best audience?

    I'm getting a minimum budget error when I se the budget to $5 a day... it says it needs to be at least $9 based on the ads in the campaign... and there are only 10 ads. What's up with that?

      You need to spend $1 a day per ad if you have 10 ads running thats why your getting that message

    Hey Circa! Thanks for the awesome videos. Watching through the Fan Finder videos now. So I created an ad using your concepts here with the goal of getting people over to our Spotify page. The numbers on the ad page were great with 5.5k unique clicks and a reach of 102k. but the numbers didn't translate over to Spotify. In the first week the song got a total of 6.7k streams but 6.1k of those were from a Spotify playlist we landed on. According to Spotify for Artists, only 1% of streams came through our profile and catalog which is a lot less than 5.5k. Any ideas of why this might be?

      Hey Noah!
      Taking traffic from FB/IG to Spotify is definitely unsettled science at this point - very difficult to make big results there in the short time. Spotify's reporting is also not as immediate or transparent as, say, Facebook Ads.

    What you're failing to explain to a viewer is how they can hire your agency to do these ads without having to do them ourselves an indie artists like myself doesn't have time to do the DIY‼️
