    Guys, the information in this video is legit, and it's good of Full Stack Creative to go to the trouble of creating this video and sharing such valuable information with you. Valuable? Literally. The caution on spending for paid traffic to Spotify could save you wasted advertising dollars on ads that didn't convert to hundreds of Spotify listens each to offset your ad cost. Well done, to Full Stack Creative. They sound like their genuinely trying to help you.

      I do send traffic to spotify but only with show.co for pre saves...but yeah he's right there is no way of tracking..all I would do is suppose that if there is an uplift after campaign its probably because of the campaign

      They are genuinely trying to help! Their (Indepreneur - Full Stack's parent company) mission is to help directly create 1 million successful independent musicians! (I think a million was the number, haha)

    I think a really good solution is to use a link gate, it's something new by hypeddit, if you click "listen now" or whatever you put as the button it'll lead to a page which give the viewer a "task" to complete before going to the real page, you can adjust it to just be collecting email or collecting email and following you on spotify, etc.

    Absolutely excellent advice, put simply and clearly. Thank you! Without clear metrics for traffic, I/O, and ROI this could potentially be a sinkhole for $$$, so thanks for helping artists avoid it, and find a better strategy. Keep rocking!

    Thank you for this Video. I've heard you mention previously that you did NOT like sending traffic there ( example in the why your website sucks episode) But didnt know the underlying reason.

    Maybe I’m too new to marketing, but could you embed a Spotify player on your landing page? That way you can see how long each visitor is on the page and work out a good (at least better) estimate as to how many tracks they listened to?

      Embedded Spotify players only allow for 30 seconds of listen time, then you have to open spotify to hear the rest

    I use smartlink url..same problem with tracking but at least traffic is spread to much better paying sites

    Hey Circa - have you ever used Tonden.io for short links? This is how I have been creating links for ads and I've started using them over smarturl, bitly etc. becuase of the ability to include the fb pixel in the link that you create. You can link directly to your Spotify channel (or song), track the clicks on that link with fb pixel and can even send them directly to the platform so they don't have to see a landing page first. Wouldn't this essentially do the same as your landing page example in the video? Or is there another specific reason you do this?

      @@alecs449 No cost at all! Not for the link tracking anyways. They do a whole lot of other stuff as well but I've only ever used them to create trackable links so can't really speak beyond that

      Hi Victor. Started doing the same thing yesterday. Seems to be working well. I'm not using bitly or smarturl. Toneden has its own abbreviated shortcut. Is there an advantage to using bitly or smarturl????
      Also, Toneden is registering the clicks showing where the audience is from, but I dont understand where it is saving the data, how to use the same data, and what the Facebook Pixel is doing and how to take advantage of that. If you have any info it would be greatly appreciated.
      Takes some time to wrap your head around all this new direct marketing stuff. And unfortunately no one seems to have it figured out. Toneden seems to be the best but there videos arent very helpful. I am considering paying for there services if they are effective.

    Hiya Circa. Great info. Toneden.io seems to do this with there Fanlink to landing page without with a direct link and Facebook Pixel installation. I am running that but dont know what to do with the captured info and how the implemented pixel is to be used to my advantage. Toneden has quite a few great features and I am considering using there full suite for future campaigns.
    What is your opinion on there pros & cons...

      bullshit, toneden is all about fake it, also facebook and instagram ADS don't see this service with good eyes, all my accounts ware blocked after let toned take care of the account, also i was caused to grow with fake users so my IG was taked down, lot of problems and all that because of toned and as i was cemented before i lost the promised 500 spotify followers in less than 1 month, try it, go ahead

    What about using digital marketing to build your music presence on RUclips? I understand Spotify is a data blackhole, but from my understanding RUclips shouldn't be. Plus RUclips has a very sizeable music audience, and ad spend can be recouped with RUclips ad revenue as a partner. And RUclips offers the possibility of retargetting. Wouldn't RUclips make the perfect substitute for Spotify in this case?

      I'm currently funding both, my first FB ads I got down to 0.10p per click. I'm doing my RUclips channel also with some catchy story thumbnails. We'll see how that goes 😉

      Both are based on FAKE USERS, just try the promised 500 Spotify followers, you will lost them as soon as you stop to pay the service, i suffer this and cheers a lot of people you there telling the same, but go ahead take a try.

    You’re wrong about being able to track peopleZ not only does Fb has ways to retarget people who engage or click, you can use small links and insert your pixel. Feature.fm for example

      All of these methods track activity before they engage with the Spotify platform. Once on the platform, you lose the ability to track. You cannot differentiate between those that clicked and left or those that stream you every day.

      i've thrown some money at feature.fm. None of the results they showed me correlated in any way to web site visits, streams, anything... and there's no return path...no way to communicate the supposed engagements with any follow-up messaging.

      @@DavidSiegelR except on pre-saves as you get email addresses. You can also setup custom event audiences out of the platform clicks, so yeah you actually can create audiences that have the intent to go to Spotify. The main problem with it is that which each additional click you bleed off conversions.
