I just finished putting this guy together 10 minutes ago. One thing to mention about the knee braces is that they also tab in to the front. In 7:50 you can see a slot exactly above the hook connection and there's one on the other side of the leg too. The big chunky kneecap part has two tabs that slot into these slots.
How much did the entire thing end up costing? I'm mostly broke, so I have to save up, but I've seen it range from $800-$1200
@@andrewknickerbocker314 Since I live in Europe, the tax and currency are different, so that's something to keep in mind. But mine ended up costing about 1300 euro (including tax).

I love the gold, red and orange texture on it also the head does look like insecticon but I think it suits him because he’s predaking he needs sharp teeth and fangs 10\10 toy, the design is beautiful.

Overall, loving this.
In a way, based on the bios, you can sorta see differences in fighting style for the melee weapons.
Ferocious and Firmament are savage, but Firmament's is slightly smaller in a section, and thus a bit lighter and faster, which fits a flyer. Both of the wolves' swords have handles near the bottom with handguards, making one think they're more for speed and skill, though more so for Dasirius since Rusirius's blade is more for hacking than slashing. Landbull's is just a massive longsword, exchanging speed for power... but Hugerhino's has the handle mid-blade, making like he's a defensive melee fighter, which fits his seemingly more armored state.
It's interesting how the blades showcase some personality like that in them.
For the hammer, could visualize either side being used, with the holes in the back either as thrusters or another gun, or the red cannon part(on the attached piece with blades) could feasibly be a shockwave maker thing.
And for the gun that has the extension function... could see it doing that(both for individual and for combined) to have the shorter form be for rapid fire, and the longer cannon for sniping power shots.
....so many possibilities with this dang thing, and I love it. XD
Hmm.... curious if it'd be possible for the shield mode positioned wings to fold in not onto the back, but between the red section of the wings and his shoulders, folding in essentially. Not sure if that's possible, but it'd be interesting.

thunderking is a BLOODY HUGE testament to the incredible ingenuity dedication and passion of the designers i don't know if there is one already but there should be a competition for best design or something like that because I whole heartedly believe that cang toys totally won by a massive landslide and that they should be publicly recognised for it it might also make the other companies try harder and improve future figures designs both in complexity and material quality but like I said i don't know if such a competition already exists or not if it does please tell me what it's called
This is the one time I thought emgo might bring out generations metroplex. Little bit disappointed about that, but these have been great reviews. Good work as usual emgo, please keep it up.

Thats my thought and theyre cheaper overall i think. I don't usually go in on the combiners but I really like the look of this one and if i can get it in desktop size and easy to manage then yes plz

@@good7bad13 The designs are simpler and slightly different than the big version as well as the transformation and as far as I know only mini Divebomb is out and it's been a very long while since that one came out.

My Feral Rex was dethroned on the 18th, the very day Thunderking was completed for me. So I have to say, this set was well worth it. Buh-bye Feral Rex 😂😂😂
Good god, there's one thing that comes to mind when I see this whole squad put together in their combined mode, and that word is IMPRESSIVE. Cang Toys knocked this out out of the dang park, man. I never thought we'd see the day that MMC's Feral Rex would be dethroned as the top Predaking, but my god what a glorious sight it is to behold.

A thing I love about this is no need for upgrade kits everything is included in the boxes and you don’t have to wait forever for a upgrade kit but if you want a upgrade kit all the power to you I truly think this set is the best

Finally someone used Toyworld's Constructicons for a comparison! Thats what I've been waiting for. I am so glad I got in on these guys! Still need the two legs but should have them around my Birthday in May. And I will totally be in on their Dinobots once they start coming out as well!

This thing looks insane! As far as the combined mode head, it's not my favorite, but I think it's mostly that I'm used to Predaking having a mouthplate instead of the teeth. But it doesn't look bad
Glad to know its not just me not entirely feeling the head, tbh i feel like razor claws aesthetic feels slightly off from the rest of while the limbs and hips down have a slightly chunky blocky feel, he almost feels slightly too small especially where he joints to thorilla also he could have done with some hits of the red to break up the gold and make him gel better with everyone elses colours as to me he almost looks like he's from a different combiner to the rest

This guy and Radiatron/Raiden are I think the 2 best combiners I've seen reviewed on here. They're just stunning. This guy definitely I agree is the best one I've seen, even if it's a smidge overengineered, it's just a sight to behold and one of the things I'm gonna absolutely have to get..if I ever have the shelf space.
I like how Raiden looks, but it has nothing on this combined mode. My Raiden has stability issues out the wazoo.

The knee pad itself actually snaps in on both sides of the knee in those two screw holes.

Call of The Primitives!
Definitely an attention grabber in any collection. Mine is solid and can hold a pose. I would have to say cang toys really hit the ground running with this being there first offering. Definitely one of my favorite companies at the moment. I’ll tell you cang toys really did throw down the gauntlet to all the other companies.
Although I abstained from this set, there is no denying that in combined mode, he is the KING of all MP combiners. Hell I’d say he is the barest looking combiner across all lines. I am amazed at how he makes constructor look anemic.
Going to pick up the first of these guys in June and slowly started collecting them all. :D
At a lower price point and a much more manageable size after seeing this i really want to go for the legends scale set of these guys, the dive bomb was released a while ago and the next ones are finally coming (i remember seeing a pre-order for several of them)
i do not have the shelf real estate required for this guy or the bank funds. gonna wait for the mini thunderking

You know what Thunderking looks like? A What-If Predaking from Transformers Prime. Seriously; Thunderking's face looks like a Prime Insecticon. Personally., that's the only way I could reconcile paying so much for a combiner that barely resembles its G1 source material. Solid review overall, though.
Forget "All Hail the King" . More like Thunderking/Predaking 3:16! Those knee braces give strong Stone Cold vibes, for me at least. 😁🤣
One of my favorite issues of the Marvel Comics features Megatron fighting the Predacons / Predaking by himself and winning, I have liked the Predacons ever since.
