I don't necessarily disagree. I just want to throw a name in a hat to see if you agree since you are such a long fan. I have been a fan since 96. What about Denny Green too. I would say Bud, Denny, and KOC
99% of the Vikings success is how they transition Harrison smith. He could probably play another year or two at an average level but if you convince him to be a coach you become better.
There's already signals coming from Vikings that people like what they see from Jones on the practice squad... They're just easing him back in, allowing him to clear his head and all. Not saying he could have same trajectory as Sam, but if the talent is indeed there, this coach and organization are the best bet to get it out of him.
Stop attributing the 14 wins to Sam Darnold. He played terrible in the Jets, Colts and Jags games. Those wins were because of the defense. There are many other games where he played decent but the defense covered up mistakes. That’s where they are #2 in points allowed.
Sam's been good and a great piece but yes this team wins and loses as a team, more than any team I've seen. The defense has the offense's back and vice versa, especially last game.
Do you expect every quarterback to play absolutely perfect every single game? QB's and players overall are going to have off games. It's an inevitability, and it happens with nearly every player on every team. That's why this is a TEAM game, you rely on your TEAM and the system you have in place to bring the TEAM to a win. Putting so much emphasis on individual players or personnel to carry a team to a SB is asinine and shortsighted. You could cherry pick any statline on any team to make them look bad. What would you change to make them better, coach?
@ I couldn’t agree with you more. This is exactly why the Vikings can’t pay Sam Darnold top tier money if they want to have this level of success going forward. He’s throwing Darts because he has time, those Darts are being caught by a collective of top tier talent. All the while the floor in every game is super low bc of a top 5 defense. None of this is possible with a QB making top money. Sam Darnold hasn’t proven he can cover up holes on a depleted roster if he’s making top dollar. Just saying the national media keeps saying “1st QB to win 14 games with a new team, he’s going to get paid!” It’s ridiculous to attribute all the team success to 1 guy and that’s what they are doing.
I'm a lifelong Vikings fan of 40 years. Bud Grant was before my time, but KOC has built the best culture of any Vikings coach in my lifetime.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS HAVE BEEN OUTSTANDING!
KOC jaw line is the most defined in the league. Second to who? Josh Mccown. Vikes QB coach. Jawlines matter folks.
Glazer looks absolutely geeked out in this.

KOach of the year.. And it's not close
Not yet . Too early since vikes are still playing . Do not need distractions.

That bottom jaw moving more than it should Jay! LOL

Eyes darting around like a game of air hockey too.

People forgot Daniel Jones on the practice squad. I could see if Sam wants a pay day Viks let him go and sign Daniel.
For like what 10 million for one year?

Daniel Jones is a bum. Stop it. It's either Sammy or JJ.
They’re probably going to activate him this week for the compensatory draft pick. That’s 99% why they signed him to begin with

Bro, he's top 5 in just about every stat. You're just flat out dumb or not paying attention if you don't think he's been balling this year.
Who are you attributing the wins?
