Sadly, Mr. Smatlak is no longer with OERM. I was a member for 46 years, rode in this car once, being of 1914 vintage, the wood body is very loose. I can't imagine doing 60 plus mph in a wood body car, even when they were new. I do find it to be attractively styled and the body of PE 1000 is also there.

I love PE1001. The PE Tens are my favorite Pacific Electric equipment. I'd like to visit OERM someday.

Brilliant man who saved that car. It's beautiful and I can only imagine what it will look like. a Railway I volunteer with restored a locomotive (mind you this is park trains) but it's really cool seeing this. Thanks for sharing!

I've been here numerous times since my first comment a year ago. I really enjoy watching this episode of Behind the Rails. I love PE 1001. And I'll be back here again and again to watch this video. This is a fun video to watch.
