Cause the game is based off a movie that is based off a comic. The Comic and movie had tons of retro gaming references so they made the game into a 16 bit game (it looks more like 16 bit to me). But it is an awesome game
@mistermeekl12, I dunno, but it fits very well in the game, don't you think? It's nice to see something like this after all the recent HD stuff (Heavy Rain for an example).
I kinda knew that but the title of the movie is Scott Pilgrim vs the world whereas the comics have different titles... Therefore we can say it's based off the movie with some/most elements of the comic (including demon Gideon and the girl with the cyborg arm [forgot her name])
@@bezhfezh I know that, it's been 9 years after all, but I think the context of my original comment was from the days when RUclips replies were different, so unfortunately the old comment thread has disappeared, but basically IIRC I was replying to some guy saying something about how he doesn't understand why the game has retro graphics and references or something along those lines. .
