To be honest: I bought mine on a Financing contract (I am a German, so excuse my wrong engl. term...) and that is pretty good to handle. I pay 90 Euro per month, for a couple of years and i have the guitar of my dreams whenever i come home... It is like Hollyday... everyday!
Bro, reading this makes me really happy! Congratulations on that! I’m hesitant to buy the amp I really want, a tone king amp, and either a Gibson es-335 or a distinguished gretsch, and reading this motivated me to pull the trigger on something. What style of music do you play and which amps you use with the gretsch. LG! :)
@@pedrofigueiredo3660 I play worship Musicin my German Church every sunday, like hillsong, elevation, bethel, jesus culture... My Amp is a Line 6 Helix, loaded with patches from worshiptutorials.
The Player's Edition has every feature I would want on my own Gretsch: locking tuners, Graph-Tech nut, slimmer heel (for upper fret access), thinner body to prevent feedback and be more comfortable, treble bleed on master volume, no-load tone pot, string-through Bigsby for easier string changes, and a pinned bridge to prevent it from slipping out of place. They're just a bit pricey :-)
Please enlighten me, RUclips: Was this a 7 minutes long ad with zero talking, or did I just participate in a 7 minutes long guitar licks masterclass? 🤔 I cannot believe my most watched YT channel technically exist 'just' to sell products. Amazing playing as always, 🇩🇰 Pete! 👍
My word, sounds like Pete just went back in time and it sounded good from the start! I'll have some of what he's smoking! Rig rundown please, it deserves it. Gritty, spanky, and doesn't sound like it passed through anything digital IMHO. We all know it had to, but whatever he was playing through was unreal! Spank it Pete! 🔥 🎸🔥
Nice sounding guitar & amp... I have a tune up kit for that Bigsby that stays in tune no matter how you dive it... & guaranteed sustain is a lot better.....
Bought this guitar - sooo much better than videos .... was looking to replace a newer 335 I traded... I think I like the Falcon better than the 335 ... very clear and articulate but can still do the jazzy thing.
Hey JT 66, what's your opinion on similarities between the two guitars? I've read some Gretsch forums, people saying "it's just a 335" kind of thing. They're full hollow, deep-body Falcon fans for sure. Seems to me this guitar is a lot different from the 335. But I've never really spent time with a 335. What do you think?
@@cmeimgee I would say the Gretsch center block players edition and the 335 are great guitars. The 335 has a more warm woody tone/feel while the Gretsch is a bit more bright/clear. Depends on what you want. Similar sizes. 335 neck might be a tad narrower. Also comes down to look/feel - if you like that Gretsch bling or the more toned down 335 look.
For goodness sake, Pete! Unlike most people here, I don't like Gretsch guitars, aesthetically speaking, and I also dislike anything with a Bigsby, but you just made me want this one. It's just not fair to do that, sir!
Why is Pete playing MY guitar...? Some day, if i'm still alive, one of those Top End Gretsches will be mine. The purple Dane looses some purple the last weeks...
Suggestion....I really like the idea of Pete presenting a "Guitar Of The Day" and think they should follow Normans Rare Guitar format exactly. Have someone behind the camera talking to Pete or whoever is going to play. Cover various guitars with their model history and who plays them and then do 2 or 3 songs. The difference... a little more affordable. Do all the high end custom as well artist models. Do it weekly or even daily. Just try to do good music and do a song for each pup on a schedule that subs can look forward too.
I have to say that I think I like the midnight color better than white but does anyone find it to be sacrilege to buy a white falcon in any color other than white?
Hey Pete, do you ever use your king of tone anymore? What’s the difference between your Dane pedal and the king of tone? Whatever you play it sounds great. You should do a bottom shelf guitar segment just to see how great you could make them sound!

The abilities of Gretsch have hardly had the surface scratched. Such a shame they have been pigeon holed in that twangy crap for decades. They are absolutely monsters in Slow Blues and Rock.
If I thought buying that guitar would make me sound like Pete, I'd pay ten times the cost of it. Alas, I'm not even as good as Lee Anderton. Just kidding Lee, I'm actually nowhere near as good as you.
There was not one single moment when I could hear real Gretsch sound. Sounds like anything. Interesting for everyone. Good for the sales department ;-) My suggestion: Try the same with a G6136SLBP!

worth every cent.
Not sure about the trebble bleed though. It’s not mentioned on this model. The Fortus signature model does have it, but this one. Not so sure.

Very nice! Both Pete's playing and such a cool Gretsch.

It’s called a ‘player edition’ but, it’s so expensive that most players can’t afford it.
It's for real players, professional use. Not something that you'll pick up once in a while to play a shitty rendition of smoke on the water.
Me then why isn’t it called the professional edition?
This guitar sounds out of phase. Might be because it was going out through 2 amps.
