if there would be a longer version, like an album or something, i would listen this all the day during the work. with a pleasure. so great, the play, the tones, the vibe of all the stuff :)
Finally! There are hardly any videos of this guitar online. I’ve seen it in the background of some Andertons videos, so great to see it in action. I’ve been drooling so much over this model in particular!!
Pete's guitar playing is a better selling point for the guitar than the guitar itself 🤣. What I mean is that it's really the instrument that is at the service of the musician, and not the other way around. He is a fantastic guitarist and above all, a fantastic musician.
@@stoneysdead689 someone felt offended it seems? I just say that these videos feature superb expensive guitars on sale, which make fantasize (I'm part of it), then there's what you do with it, and Peter Honore with his dazzling musicality almost eclipses, from my point of view, the flamboyance of the guitar itself. But he would have sounded just as good with a cheap Squier.
I’ve always loved these guitars, definitely that classic Chet Atkins/Brian Setzer vibe and they sound and feel great as well. Great playing as always, Pete
I have an older 6120 Club with De Armond's, It is one of my favorites of the herd I currently have. I heartily endorse buying one. PS Nice playing Pete, just love it !!!
If memory serves me, Chet Atkins played a 6120. And this sounds nothing like what he played. And that ain't a bad thing! Shows how versatile this thing is. Now the only choice I have is this, or a Guild X-175 Manhattan Special. 🤔 Always have wanted this Gretsch, so the difficult choices are real.
The sound awesome but look huge…. I’m looking for a hollow body and was thinking D’Angelico Mini DC but I just love the Gretsch. My D’Angelico Bob Weir Deluxe is amazing. Super impressed with D’Angelico.
Do this again and add an upright bass with a small drum kit. The Captain should do one too. We've watched him grow as a player through the years. They both have there own feel that I appreciate.
Nice to hear some dynas with pete . Welcome to the sweet spot of tone . And this factory pickups aren t half as good as seymour duncan and other hand made i can tell ypu
Yes, they are. Gretsch bought them in from DeArmond, as did Guild and, believe it or not, Martin. Dynasonic was Gretsch’s trade name for those pickups. I think DeArmond called them Model 2000.
Beautiful guitars, arent they? I've got my late father's old Gretsch (1958 6124 Single Anniversary with a PAF Filtertron), and it sounds great.... but absolutely nothing like this.
Gretch is an odd guitar- I really like the way they sound- but I'm not sure I care for the way they look. They're all big and clunky looking- even their solid body models. And they have those odd-looking HB pickups with the double row of posts on them- adds to the industrial, steam punk feel they have. But damn they sound good- I'm thinking of getting a Gretsch G2655T-P90 Streamliner Jr DCP90 in Midnight Sapphire. It's a center block model I believe. I really like P90s when they're done right, and I hear Gretch does it right.
💙 this format --- makes me GAS --- can really hear the nuances --- the pickups the acousticness of the guitar --- All your content is great --- this stuff makes me GAS for my next significant purchase --- beautiful playing again --- lessons please
Why don’t you guys ever tell people about the Andertone’s sessions you did yrs ago? They’re great. They’re a few covers. The people are always asking for music from you. There’s some stuff to hold them over.
I agree with all the accolades here for Pete's splendid playing and the fine instrument he's playing on but I've never understood why any guitar manufacturer would put an inlay in at the first fret. Inlays are fundamentally just reference points, and if we need help finding the first fret, should we even be playing guitar?
That's what I used to think until I bought a Gretsch. I wanted a hollowbody to play at home during the pandemic. I didn't know I needed a Gretsch until I already owned a Gretsch. It's just a unique sound that can do just about anything and sound unique doing it.
I swear Pete could make a piece of driftwood and string sound great. Always love hearing him play!
Totally agree
Pete, Pete, Pete Get that album out. "Lets Go Danish"
have to replay the whole album i car!
Watch this. It’s Andertones. They did a few covers a few yrs back. Or look it up. ruclips.net/video/0-PdKrBH65I/видео.html.
Japanese built Gretsch guitars are works of art.

I like this format, Pete just getting into a zone, very cool.
Pete never fails to amaze me , cheers guy.
Brilliant as always Pete!
And what a stunning guitar.

Really? I thought once you paid over 300-400 bucks the guitar plays itself and you just sit behind it waiting to accept the applause.

Brilliant Pete, always a delight.

He is a master at doing loops.
Beautiful, both the guitar and the sound and the music 🤩
Love loop 2.
That was beautiful soulful playing. Awesome!
Epic playing Pete; you’re a legend
Need to play more gretsch Pete! Sounds awesome!
That felt like an eternity in the best way possible
Just think of how much better it would even sound without the packing guard under the bridge. Great guitar.
Awesome. I’d buy your album.
Now that is a Guitar !
Shades of Chris Isaak! Absolutely amazing, beautiful tones Pete!!🎸🎶
I have an older 6120 Club with De Armond's, It is one of my favorites of the herd I currently have. I heartily endorse buying one.
PS Nice playing Pete, just love it !!!
Great pickups, l prefer em over filtertrons...
Bassy & twangy when you want em to be.. take gain well..& sweeten up beautifully.
Ahhhh man I need to practice more 👍👏
Well done Pete, as always!
Beautiful sound.
Tasteful playing as usual.
Are Gretsch's just the coolest looking and sounding guitars on the market!!!

Pete Townsend also played one on Who’s Next.
This motivates me to use my looper more. Beautiful playing!
I recently read that Lee is a part owner of Danish Pete.
What looper do you use Pete?
Not that it will make me sound as good, but I can have fun trying :-)
What a great sound!
Great picking Peter, would have liked to hear flat wounds on the guitar. 👍👍👍🥃Respect to you mate.
Orange is the new purple! Sublime playing. ❤
Now all we need is to upload them all to spotify
Ahhh 😊 Sweet Pete strikes again 🟣
Reminds me that I have a Gretsch and a looper that I never use…. That first loop was delicious. Should be paired with a sultry vocalist. I’d buy that.
Amazing!
The sound awesome but look huge…. I’m looking for a hollow body and was thinking D’Angelico Mini DC but I just love the Gretsch. My D’Angelico Bob Weir Deluxe is amazing. Super impressed with D’Angelico.

Such tasteful playing!!!
Wonderful loops Pete !
That first loop is so almost "I was born to be a dancer" by the Kaiser Chiefs. It's tantalising!
Wow thank you Pete 🙏
Nice playing Pete! Cheers!!
stunning playing sir, hum that guitar should be called OSAKA
You should do more of this type of videos: no taking, just playing
Nothing, absolutely nothing sounds like a Gretsch!!! I have chambered Pro Jet. I have watched that guitar bring some people in an audience to tears.
Cool JM stuff at 7 min
Found my next guitar
Love it Pete!
Beautiful, brother
That's cool ... peacefull...
Absolutely Mint! What's more to say 😊
Nice to hear some dynas with pete . Welcome to the sweet spot of tone . And this factory pickups aren t half as good as seymour duncan and other hand made i can tell ypu
Pair this with a cranked Orange and you’ve got PJ Harvey’s dirty sound from the 90s.
An orange guitar through an Orange amp? Juicy!
Bravo !!!!
👏 Bravo! 😢
Fedt blær Peter
Sometimes John Mayer wonders what it would be like to play guitar as well as Pete Honore does.
Love it !!
Which octaver is it? It works really well🔥
Nice, Pete.
Get Lee to do this, too.
😍
Julian Lage has said that the note just wants to burst out of a Dynasonic pickup!
It's almost become less useful to hear demo's when Pete's playing; I don't think he CAN make a guitar sound anything but magnificent.
🔥
Cool, Pete! Thanks so much. May I ask a dumb question? Aren't "Dynasonic" pickups just DeArmonds? That's what they look like anyway.
Yes, they are. Gretsch bought them in from DeArmond, as did Guild and, believe it or not, Martin. Dynasonic was Gretsch’s trade name for those pickups. I think DeArmond called them Model 2000.
Pete ran over a couple of ideas with Brian Setzer & Chris Isack with espresso & cheese danish prior to filming.
Beautiful guitars, arent they? I've got my late father's old Gretsch (1958 6124 Single Anniversary with a PAF Filtertron), and it sounds great.... but absolutely nothing like this.
Which amp was this? Such a perfect tone.
Which guitar would you prefer this guitar or the Epiphone Sheridan? I have a lead on the Eppy at a very good price.
I'd take the Gretsch for sure, but it's much more expensive.
Pete's album is going to be titled "I'm so much high AF"
Nice😎
I had a horrible dream last night. I got a new pack of guitar strings and they were all the same size
😎🎸🔥👍🏻

What’s with all the squeaks?
Nothing sounds like a Gretsch
Greetings from Russia✌️

Pete goes Hnos Gutiérrez
viiiiibe
Superb playing, beautiful guitar but way too much squeaking coming from those pickups
What's the next best thing to this, but not £2600?
Why don’t you guys ever tell people about the Andertone’s sessions you did yrs ago? They’re great. They’re a few covers. The people are always asking for music from you. There’s some stuff to hold them over.
And who said the only good thing to come out of Denmark was smoked bacon? Turns out Lego does as well.

I hate this dude. I don't like being reminded of how little talent I have compared to him. 😉
That is one big ugly guitar

@@jkf9167 He didn't say anything about how it sounded- he said it's big and ugly, and it is. Sounds amazing, but it's big and ugly.
Or maybe Pete is just tiny and gorgeous
It’s big and quite beautiful.
[That’s what _she_ said.]
It's bloody gorgeous!!
bolo......pete is on fire..............
