One thing I did forget to mention was that not once but TWICE... The main characters actively stopped and hugged mid COMBAT... I thought that was pretty dumb 🤣
Wrong. The greatest show ever/show about Delta is The Unit. Aired on CBS from 2006-09 with 4 amazing seasons. Just the first episode is explosive and increases with every season. Based on a book from a former Delta operator, Eric Haney who wrote "Inside Delta Force". Thr author even gets a few caneos throughout the seasons I still watch it from time to time. Doesn't disappoint, 10/5 stars 💯.
@@IroquoisPlissken I know its realistic because half the situations in the show just regarding the army as a whole happened to me. 7.8/10 for accuracy. Well the one thing is that delta is very secretive about training as the US military’s tier 1 counterrorism unit they have to keep things secret quite a lot but I loved how they portray what a delta operator is, efficient, disciplined and deadly. Also I should say the director directing the hurt locker, zero dark thirty and this he really makes gems of military movies that are both spy thriller but action badass mixed with emotional moments and great characters Thanks for also checking out the show I think me and others told ya about. Luke evans is a gem of an actor from beauty and the beast, fast and furious to this he really nails down a large amount of roles and they never feel the same they’re so great
@daianspahava8279 Yeah, definitely think a couple of you guys mentioned it as well! It was a good show overall. I agree that Mark Boal makes really really interesting military shows/movies
@daianspahava8279 I agree. Director of Locker and Thirty. Kathryn Bigelow did a good job with Journalist Mark Boal's scripts. I guess she learned a lot after being married to James Cameron. Locker got her the first Woman to be awarded an Oscar for Best Director. I really liked her Blue Steel movie. Luke Evans, he may be a fellow countryman. But him being a member of the Alphabet people, I'm not a fan. Didn't like what he had to say about the James Bond character a few years back. And him playing a family man, like in a Rings related Trilogy as the Dragon Bowman. Or if there is a Girl involved in a movie he is interacting with? It just doesn't pass.
I was shocked with the scene in which both of them give an interview to a news media saying like: Yeah, we're Delta and we carry out sensitive missions.
The Unit was such a smart show for it's time....and with it's characters and with it's various topics/subject matters that it attempted to cover and to shed some light upon. It was limited by the standards of broadcast television at the time of it's production and airing. Missing out on the Unit means missing out on something very special and somewhat eye opening. I just watched the show while it was a good show I personally think it would have been better as a 6 episode show there were a few bits that were just too long.
