Thank you for all of the support!! Enjoy!! Авто/Мото
Car collectors stories are rarely (if ever) the same. This one is glorious!
Most definitely! Thank you!
I'm a middle class guy...I own a Countach, and a Ferrari 512 lol. In any case, a very wise purchase. It was a stretch at the time but you bought what you loved. And your enjoying it as a car, not a museum piece. Good for you and keep on truckin.
That’s awesome!
Love the fact that James restored his own car and has his own soul invested into it.
Absolutely!
So much respect for James. Tthe way he talks about his Miura and his apreciation and humility.... it's just really heartwarming.
Absolutely! I’m glad I could capture that. Thank you.
A man and his beautiful car. Soul mates.
that was great.i can relate to this guy totally.he might be quite a bit wealthier than me but it aint about the worth of the car to him .its about the connection he has to that car.probably would,nt sell it no matter what they offered him.i love lamborghinis especially the muira.but my passion is guitars and when i was 23 i got a guitar made that cost me a small fortune.still have it today and would not sell it no matter what i was offered.i reckon that bloke has a good heart and has worked hard for what he has.we need more people like him in this world.i dont care if your rich or poor as long as your a good person in these times thats all i care about.
Enjoyed every minute, especially the beer/muira story.....WOW Epic!!!!
Thank you!!
How is it that considers himself a middle class person and owns those kinds of cars. This guy is awesome. You can see how the car has a mucha larger meaning to him than just an economic value. This is great.
He lives by himself, no kids, no wife, only two dogs and some nice cars! Middle class, but you can tell what he prioritizes. I really appreciate the kind words!! Thank you!
@@AerialAutomotive This guy is my hero.
@@AerialAutomotive : wife, 2 kids and 3 grandkids or 4 classic cars, you know I love the cars he has, but I love my family more over the 4 classic cars.
What an awesome review. This channel is so under-rated. Keep going. I love these!
Thank you so much!!
This guy is much more than 'beliveably' in my opinion because he likes nice bikes too ; )) he's even got an SFC1000 !
Haha absolutely!
Holy Hell !!!
What a collection !!!!!
Miura & 512 are two of my favorite cars ever
the the Countach & Ford GT are iconic as well
just WoW
🤩
I loved every minute of this, Evan! Very well constructed, a pleasure to watch!
Thank you so much!
My father had a 1972 Miura SV that he bought in 1977 and kept it for 20 years. He lived in Germany and I spent every summer, and most holidays, there as a kid. He had always had more practical and reliable cars as daily transportation, but drove the Miura for fun. When I was 18 I began driving it as well and it was something I will never forget. Taking it on winding mountain roads, or at VERY high speeds on the autobahn, is something I wish everyone could experience.
Love that he is middle class and capable of living his automotive dream. Very inspirational. So grateful that this channel highlights all types.
Absolutely! Thank you!
😂😂😂😂 Right...sure he is...
What a story. Thank you so much for sharing! Who can share an experience with someone restoring a Miura. Fantastic.
Great work!!!
Hi,Yes I agree with you, It's one of the most Beautiful cars,Ever made.
A beautifully put together video. The story behind the car always ads to the pleasure of viewing! The
Last bit about wishing to retain the cars James has rather than hanker after more cars is so correct!
What a wonderful story
Thank you!
Thank you James for sharing your collection and stories...and keeping these cars out on the road for the rest of us to see! And this channel just got my subscription, nice work
Thank you so much!
Awesome, heart felt story and love the passion you have for your cars and especially the Muira. Thank you for sharing. Awesome! Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy! Cheers Tony
Thank you so much!
This is one of the channels I thank RUclips for putting on my feed.
I’m glad you found it! Thank you!
I remember the first time I saw this car on the street. I was in love. This was in the early 80’s and the miuras were going for around 40-50k back then. I was telling my dad to buy one but of course he never did. It would have been a great investment.
Nice to see a guy with an average budget and some good skills owning a lamborghini like this. No unlike myself.
Absolutely!!
Beautiful story. And what an amazing collection this guy has - Ford GT40, which inspired the design of the Miura, a Countach and a Boxer! No wonder he doesn't need to add any cars to his collection! I would have loved to meet this guy also - he seems so down to earth and humble and he actually drive the cars like they're supposed to be driven, on normal pubic roads! What a shame I live on the other side of the planet! By the way I just subscribed to the channel, which I only saw for the first time (but definitely not the last).
He’s one of the most humble car owners I’ve ever had the honor of knowing. Thanks so much!
Wow, very nice story and video!
What a fantastic story and car!
Great storytelling, and what a magnificent collection of cars!
Absolutely!! Thank you!!
Just, really touching. I have no other words.
Superb!
Thanks!
One very nice and lucky man...
Absolutely loved this video. WAY COOL!
Thanks!!!
Amazing story! Living the dream
100% Thank you!!
Amazing machine for sure !
Lovely film. Very much in line with the way we make our classic car films. Good work all around. Got my subscription. 😊
Thank you so much!
Very nice video, greatly enjoyed it. Congratulations! Also for your classic Laverda and Ducati collection.
How does this only have 481 views? Awesome video.
At 16:41 I had to pause and drool for a while.
Share the video with your friends!! I need more views XD Thank you!!
I love that has the Jota style headlights implemented
Amazing video Evan!
Thanks so much!
Thoroughly enjoyed the video and the story. I hope we can see videos of his cars as well? Please do some videos on classic Alfa’s too!
Next time I’m up in VA I’ll try to make another video!
Ultimate car, above all others
what a great story
You really deserve this iconic car 👏👏👏 Perfect match.
Good work man, one of your most poignant points - a la Italiano - want to Vmax? Make sure the fuel tank is full....bella!
Well done sir.
Thank you!
Amazing video, i am shocked that it only has 1k views :O top quality video
Thank you!!
as a rather young person still i promised myself... once i am done restoring my bmw e30 i will start building my own Miura. whatever it takes! Stick to your goals fellas!
Nice
Bellissima la P - 400 - bellissimi die cast e bellissime le fotografie ---
Any chance of a similar video about Jim's Countach please?
An average middle class guy with a multi million dollar car collection! Nice job!👍
$60K in the year 2000?? With the prices we see today, the era of middle class people owning Miuras and other classics is long gone.
Just now got a chance to watch this.. Awesome work man, it flows like a petrolicious big budget video. You killed it brother. 👊🏻
Thank you so much!!
é a mais bela máquina
I have an extra drivers rear quarter panel off of Bob Wallace's 1971 S that I never used on my 1970 Miura S and some suspension springs n stuff
I also have a set of exhaust tips if you need them.
Ah man... he's got two Laverda's, too... excellent taste
The Banjo Bolts on the 40 IDL Webers are always leaking. You must check those banjo bolts regularly especially if you have not driven it in a while. I never had a backfire problem though. but a gas leak I had.
You can lockwire them in place
black miura when he bought it ,orange now, yellow/orange when it was depicted in the ebay picture ( assume that was taken before he bought it at the auction ) so it must have been resprayed " recently " to change it from black to orange ? yet he seems to say that the present paintwork is of a "difficult to replicate original quality" ??????????????
The car was originally yellow in the 1960's, painted black in the late 1970's and taken down to a bare metal show car finish red in 2005, not difficult to replicate original quality but impossible to replicate the red paint job because the chemical composition of the paint was much better in 2005. In it's current form it is a better than original paint job.
Owning a MIURA currently?…you are NO LONGER middle class sir. Yore net worth is considered “multi millionaire” Sir. Great video!
Ha ha, well if you don't ever sell it you are stuck with your middle class salary......
0:33 never put music on a video where Lamborghini is moving...
Avez-vous pense a mettre des bulles de phares type JOTA ou dino 206,246 gt ?
Histoire interessante

me too
has the owner ever brought this beauty to the Great Falls Cars and Coffee?? :-) i definitely agree with him, one of the most beautiful cars ever made.
I don't believe so!
Funny how there were supposedly about 100 Miura's made and yet every other collector has one.
There were 762 made.
@@DakotaGT Well that would explain it.🤔🤨
Glad we got the back story on the owner. Happy that he owns the most beautiful automobile of all time instead of some rich guy locking it away in his collection..
Well, I made my comment before I got to James explaining it is a Jota model. My bad!
Haha all good! It is a big difference if you’re not familiar with the Jota
Holy cow I mean countach lol
8:42 cyclist at the hospital wrapped in cast: *"Damn, I can't believe I got to see a Miura.."*
Jim, Did Gary Bobileff's guy Nigel make the headlight eyelashes and aluminum surround?
Hi Gregory, Gary Bobileff's guy did create those but I never got a name.
@@corsaexotics1662 Jim, Great that you got the pieces. Nigel is an ex-RR tin man and does a great job. I enjoyed your RUclips and your work on the car. I had a '69 S and now own a '67 "Light Weight" with Jeff Stephan doing the work I can't safely undertake. I had to pay 10 times what I paid for the S, just to get back into a P400, but it's an ultra original car. The biggest difference to me is not the weight, but how light the rotating mass is on the early car. Revs more like a motorcycle than my S. We're a diminishing breed of middle-income level people who own these things of beauty and work on them ourselves.
@@gregorydahlen2103 That’s amazing and fantastic, I’m so glad you managed to get another one. We are a dying breed sadly. I wish you the best of luck with your car and your endeavors, I know it’s going to make you smile forever!

This Miura is a bit of a freak not just because of the front. It also has the wrong tail lights and the wrong exhaust pipes at the rear so it must have been in some kind of a accident at one time. The original tail lights are shared with the Fiat Dino regardless this gentleman has a fantastic car collection and a wonderful Laverda motorcycle collection bikes I have not seen in 40 years and he lives in VA not far from me!
I disagree with you one the brakes. They are entirely inadequate and needs to be upgraded if you plan on driving it. You will end up rear ending a Prius because they can stop faster and reliably. Fix the brakes. I had to fix/upgrade mine.
. .si, ey' believe one of the directors of KRUISE AUCTION House in S.Florida had this Miura and it was in the LASITER Collection, when i last saw it in 1988. LASITER wanted 88k for it at that time.
Is my information correct?
ey'v always Wondered the 'back Story' of the semi SVJ HeadLampS.🇮🇹 Johndavid Fligelman NM/FL USA 🏁☮️
60k investment yielded 2.5 million, not bad.
Is that what these cars are trading for now?
I thought the P400 had the headlight eyelashes?
It did and in the video he explains how he modified the headlights, but has kept the originals parts in case he wants to go back to original look
NO PLASTIC and will probably last another 50 years. A new plastic car with fuel injection and computers? 15 years max...
60.000 in 2000’s for a Miura? Seriously!? Damn what a huge return of investment
Absolutely!!
I can't be the only person that wishes James were my neighbor...
Great car, but fix those headlights!
Middle class n Europe:Toyota Corolla
Middle class in USA:Miura
I can’t imagine a more deserving owner outstanding! If I may suggest a finishing touch your car would be a great candidate for period correct high performance headlights. www.audettecollection.com/sev-marchal-amplilux/
'I/m not rich.' Yeah right.
Don't hit a bump over a hundred,or it will instantly lie on it's back for a tyre change & a spoiler !!😂
too bad the Countach is a highbody
Don't feel bad when you have to sell it. You'll have no more liability and $15 million in pocket...
Lovely video, very well told story. The car of course is awesome but what a nice and humble owner. Subscribed! Check out my stuff when you have the time please. Cheers!
Please put theoriginal head lights
I own Honda Civic
Very cool Ian
You must make movie too
What I'm confused about is how can a middle class guy could afford to buy not only one super sports car, but several Lamborghinis & Ferraris. If it was me, I would not be able to afford anything else in life. And no wife would put up with it if I had no money to spare for anything else.
You have a Miura driving around, you got video and sound. And you put music on top?! What's wrong with you?!
But yeah, everything else about the video is awesome. Thanks!
not a fan of eyelashes.
your headlights are superior looking.
A couple Lambos, a Ferrari a house, etc... is not middle class.
When you’re not selling anything and you make just a middle class salary, trust me, you’re very much middle-class.
Sure... with a garage like that, you're a middle class guy, just yr regular Joe ...yeah, sure...
Dork buys stupidly expensive high maintenance bucket of bolts. So what? He should have bought an Alfa GT - a much more fun car to drive and much cheaper also no fire extinguisher required.
