    Thanks for reminder! On SIrt6, Vera Gorbunova's lab has done interestting work relating sirt6 to double strand DNA breaks, which are supposedly a key driver of aging. Her lab investigates mechanisms by which some animals live ling lives (bats, certain rodents, whales, etc.). Seems that one problem with supplements is that they are dumped into the body without regard to what else is going on at the time, and they often have short biological half-lives. Interventions that maintain homeostasis (change many things in synchrony over longer time frames), like exercise and diet, also modulate NAD+, etc. likley with more effect.

      Absolutely! And as Brian Kennedy points out in my podcast, combining different supplements may cancel out the effects too. Agreed with the point exercise and better lifestyle habits for maintaining homeostasis.
