Yeah, the last line in the initial(?) reply by BTech deserves some action on BTech's part. Email never carries the "tone" of the message and Customer Support SHOULD react in favor of the customer. Maybe the gal had just finished with an irate customer but... that's not really an excuse. Also, if I'm going to receive a replacement unit, a company SHOULD state that upfront that a pre-owned/refurn'd unit is what they could be sending you otherwise it should be brand new. Just my humble opinion. My only interaction with BTech has been the purchase of two UV-5x3's back many moon agos. They're my go-to radio and have gotten dropped and otherwise bounced around but I haven't had any problems with them.
That answer from Katy completely cost BTECH my respect and my business aloe. And as far as having to have the original receipt and all that just makes them look like they are doing whatever they can to not have to replace the product. Extremely unprofessional. I don’t want me or anyone else to have to go through all that for being a loyal customer. I’ll stick with Wouxun
Well, looking at this from the outside, if I was looking to get something that I bought replaced, I refer to the old saying that “you catch more bees with sugar water than salt water”.. HOWEVER, the young lady that responded to your first correspondence seemed to be having a bad day and took it personally. I love you brother, next time, take a deep breath and “kill them with kindness” to hopefully get what you want. 👍
I have 2 Btech GMRS pro’s. Hopefully I never have to send them in for warranty issues. Karen I mean Katy should be fired for that comment. She made it personal. I won’t buy anything else from them. Just because I don’t want to be treated like that and get used crap as an exchange.
I'm willing to give them 1 more shot on maybe their next5 latest and greatest. Fingers crossed that it goes well. THANKS for commenting and sharing your views!!!
I've had some issues with a couple QHM22D's and I actually had trouble getting someone. I suppose cause it's a couple $20 mics they care even less than a $500 radio. Not to mention the price they want for their UV82... Err I mean "GMRS V2" Is ridiculous. I DO like the GMRS Pro, but seeing the way they treat even their small customers, I'd rather spend the money on an Anytone or a Radioddity (a company I never had an issue dealing with for probably 7 or 8 years now)
It's best to stick with what you know and trust. I've only been in the game for about 2 years with buying "good" radios and appreciate y'alls suggestions!!! THANKS for watching and commenting!!!
This is what you have to do sometimes to keep company's honest, You paid them for a product with your hard earned money in brand new working condition and should not have to put up with a used product to show for it.
I actually have 3 or 4 radios from BTECH. I just bought their brand new mobile GMRS radio from them. I also have 2 BTECH pros. Your video was very displeasing to hear. I was considering buying a used 50x3 off of eBay. But after this video, I’m on the fence. Listen brother why don’t you do a review with of the Btech 50x3 and see how well it does on SWR and transmission power if they want to play that game. The losses are theirs, not yours. Thank you for your reviews.
Dang, it took you long enough to tell your story, and make a point. Politeness and professionalism goes both ways. A simple and concinse email would have had probably a different outcome, I'm sure. I was in retail for over 33 years, I probably would have responded to your emails as they had. The fact that you have a small RUclips channel wouldn't have impressed me either. I would have taken care of you either way. Then I would have filed it all under "POMPOUS".
Lol, oh wow! Nothing this man did or said was pompous. Sounds like maybe you helped one to many customers there Bruce. Hopefully it wasn't with BTECH, but you would have definitely fit in.
@@terryshrives8322 how a person starts out at first has a lot to how people react and respond to them. @@MCTGMRS78009 please don't take me as negative towards you. I responded to someone else here, and explained some things, and how or why I would react. I could see the frustration in your email, and I saw the response from the service tech. Was their response professional? In my business or the shops I was a GM for, no it was not. If it were brought to my attention, I would have taken over, and done what was needed to keep my customer satisfied. And schooled my service tech. UNLESS the customer started on me, and then at some point the conversation would have ended.
I simply wouldn’t deal with BTECH anymore my friend. Obviously their products aren’t that great to begin with. That on top of the customer service problem is a big red flag. I’m definitely telling my friends and family to stay away. Sorry you went through that.
I have not been impressed with BTECH's return/replacement process or their customer service. Katy replied with a snarky remark! They need to get their "stuff" together fast

You are correct... I was a little heated. I have a story about the sugar water/salt water for the next time I see you. It's good advice. #truth. 🙏

I had the same issue with my gmrs pro… I was sent back a refurbished one that did not look great. I’m only purchasing btech products from Amazon.
I'm sorry... that is horrible to hear. :-(

@TheDukie54... not taken as negative at all. 👍
Katy isn't much help! Having an issue with the gmrs pro not stopping on transmissions on channels 15-30! Will not be buying another Btech product!
Oh geeeez... did Katy help you as well with your issue???
@MedinaCountyTexasGMRS She wasn't any help and extremely unprofessional!

I really hope BTECH will take care of its customers. I have had no issues with BTECH GRMS Pro . Good info

buy Chinese - learn a lesson hard way.
buy Japan - never learn a lesson until buy Chinese.
there. plain simple
🤣🤣🤣 love it!
Had a similar experience with btech a couple years ago. Haven't spent a penny on anything with their name on it since.
I can totally understand that!!! Thanks for commenting.
