Hi! How often and what lengths are your typical hose runs? If your business model requires two operators consistently, I might recommend a bigger unit that has a larger vacuum blower. Feel free to give me a call or e-mail to discuss in more detail: l.ortbahn@legendbrands.com / 602-327-9117
@@lauraatlegendbrands1740 hi thanks for your quick response. I am 90% residential, I would say on average we will be having 75-100ft on each wand on large jobs that the house will have carpet on all floors. Please recommend a machine for this purpose thanks.
I just purchased a peak 500. A couple of things. It’s really loud. I have a older peak that I bought new back in 2003 and it seems my older peak out performs this new one? The vacume on the new one is weaker than my old one? It supposed to have a bigger blower. My tech even mentioned that he likes the new peak because the wand is easier to push? It’s not supposed to be easier? Do you think maybe I have a defective unit? Not to happy with it right now.
Exclusive Home Services if you using dual wands most of the time I would recommend a unit with a larger blower. Give me a call and we can discuss the options!
Ferrante's Steam Carpet Cleaning Monterey Ca sorry to read about your frustrations! Have you reached out to anyone at Legend Brands or your local distributor with your concerns? What wand did you use with your old Peak? The new Peak 500 comes with a glided titanium wand, so it is lighter and easier to use for most technicians. If you have some time, give me or Rick Aranda a call! We would love to discuss it in more detail.
One thing I really don't like about this unit. There is literally no way to shut off the heat. The only way to agust the heat is with the good old bypass valve, however it is included on the machine but it's 2019 there needs to be a thermostat. Put it this way you need to adjust the bypass valve when you go from wall to wall carpets to stairs or it gets up to 230 degrees within minutes. Some people may like this but I like to take my time during cleaning. I don't like rushing while cleaning stairs worrying about the heat of the machine.
I do see your concern. The Peak 500 was designed with simplicity in mind. There is a large contingency of loyal Peak owners who have grown accustomed to the simplicity of the heat adjustment simply being the bypass valve. We added the “dwell” (diverter) valve as an added basic feature to assist in temperature adjustment. For more adjustable and precise temperatures we do provide the 370, the Apex570 and the Everest 870. These 3 platforms would be closer to what it appears you are referring. I love talking Truckmounts so feel free to give me a ring. 3607701428
@@rickaranda3366 what about water extraction? I haven't tried it yet but I take it you must cycle water through the waste tank the entire time? In other words, does this baby produce heat with the pump off?

It was great meeting you again in Houston for aramsco new store opening and letting me try out the Hoss 700. That will be my next truckmount purchase.

Yes it will produce heat when the pump is off. Give me a call sometime and we can go into detail on best practices.
