- www.truckmount... Welcome to the 1st TMF Game! Here Mike Camacho with no reels competes against Rob Allen for approx setup and break down times. The rules are in the contest video. Who won? You decide!
PS:Any future "games" suggestions please let us know! Rob Allen
Even tho rob won, i've never seen anyone roll up hoses like mike did. those 2" vacuum hoses are a pain, he made it look too easy.
That's exactly why I liked him better. There's a good chance you will have an audience (the people's house you're cleaning) the slower guy looked cooler. It was like he put on a show.
Yes. I was going to say the same thing
The guy with reels sets up very similar to how I do and my timing would be quite close to his. The guy humping all is hoses however, I must say is fast and good at it. Not quite as fast as having reels but I noticed he's got a ton of room left in the van and things are very orderly and quite organized. Way to go both of you.
Awesome! I love the side by side video!
mike is wrapping up hoses from exactly where he set them up. so they are all still in a straight line. clean your way out of a house and most of the time the hoses are all twisted up to some degree. with no hose reels he would be untangling then straightening hoses to coil them up but he was pretty quick. no way id be that fast even with straight hoses.
Wow! That was impressive. The homes are different, so I am curious to know if the linear footage for the runs where comparable. Mike seemed to be parked further away from the home? Mike is using corner guards and rob is not. Rob is wearing shoe covers and Mike is not. All in all, impressive.
How many negative points for running solution line across the front lawn. That will burn a line into the owners grass.
Christopher Sines it was his own yard and for demo purposes only. As I demonstrated only run solution lines on hard surfaces outside such as driveways and sidewalks.
This was actually informative now I see where I can improve at
dude took only a little longer than rob....and look what kind of shape he's in...that's why i refuse after 27 years to buy an
electric hose reel
I watched this a couple years ago, who's watching in 2019? give a thumbs up!!!!
Cool video! I've been arguing the pros and cons on rolling by hand vs reels for sometime! I'm still a hand rolling kind of guy on account the room it saves in my van if I want to take them out and also because of rain and snow reels picks up when rolling them in.
except you can't drag the hose like ROB did, that was a disqualifier (paint scratches)
Im tired now from watching this..thats why I have a helper..lol..i see the benefits of both ways really, Mike is more unconventional but he gets a little workout on each job and if it works for him cool..Rob's more my approach, electric hose reel, shit my helper might quit if our hose reel broke..
Nice advantage of reels is ability to clean it with the towel as its loading up...
I have to do solution hose last, even after my machine is hot.
Darn cold temperatures. The cold will keep you on your game also.
You guys are fast. Next time check your oil on your TM, just to rub-it-in ;-)
Awesome video… gave me some tips on how to improve…
Rob doesn't go live vacuum line though? Never saw him start his TM or connect the vacuum...
He still would have been faster because he's modern, but only by a slim margin because that dude is BUFF!
For some, it's not how fast, it's how much??? Being Effective and EFFICIENT is what the job is about.
Michael Marcus being efficient means fast to a degree. On might be able to do one or two jobs more a day and keep up the iicrc standard. The cream always rise to the top. Could be the difference of a job owner vs a business owner.
awesome video fellas.
I may have taken the paint and a few wood chips off the door trim but I would have won this.
I need help. I hope someone can help me.. So I don't have enough money to get a whole unit. N I was thinking to get a portable extractor. For $2100 and 12 gallon psi 500 wit a heater. 3 stage vacuum. It's that enough? N how much psi it suppose to b to clean a carpet.. Plz help me n thank u
That set up is good. I use 300 psi for my residential and a little higher for my commercial.
Yes thats good i use a portable 500 psi with 2 6.6 2 stage vacs and i have put 200 ft of hose and it worked grate i normaly dont put that much hose put this time i had to. I also have another portable with 300 psi and 2 3 stage vacs that will take 100 ft of 2" hose so your good with your set up.
After this battle, I see I need a "Rob" or hose reels. Amazing.
This was classic 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Rob didn't have corner guards and it looks like he just pulled all the hoses through the house rubbing them against the walls? Mike appears to be more careful with rugs, guards, and not rubbing his hoses around walls.
Credit for both though.
Besides scorching a stripe in the grass, I'll reluctantly agree.
Camacho used Corner Guards and doesnt even use reels... very good. I only use vac reel and roll soluton line manually. Trip1; wand, pre & solution ( around my neck ) roll back to van trip2 Start machine (roll vac in figure 8 like Rob and connect) grab corner guards drop on way.done.
Audience Don't forget, this business requires a lot effort , talking about mental and physical must updated you customer services periodically and physical following safety rules... the way Mr. Camacho run this business 100% retired soon with liability issue..
Play smart fellas..
I kinda liked the slower one.
Obviously Robert Allen! mike Camacho got one hell of a workout in.
I like mike and robs teqnique really cool video 👍
New challenge for you!!!
Find which one of them is more deceptive cunning and opportunistic 👺
Newer challenge. Talk is cheap. Come to TMF and do a side by side. I'll fly the challenger out.
Mike is gonna have to clean the downstairs after walking through the dirt in the backyard
Nice guitar soundtrack
Um I Would've parked on the drive way...?
Samuel Tamez I could have. But I didn't want it to look like I had an advantage as his run was rather long. Squared the contest.
@@TruckMountForums I do not you mentioned on separate videos , bleach tab inside waste tank ?... don't forget bad scents... over all good video 👍👍... thanks
Professional vs. Non-Professional
Hey mike 1990 called and said they want their hose cuffs back ;@)
+david mahoney haha
What’s a hose cuff? Lol
I am very, very, intrigued by the no reel method!!!
You are saving money initially by not having to pay for the reels.
2/ You are saving A Lot of space in the back of the van.
3/ You do not have to worry about maintenance for the reels.
I think I just got converted to the no reel set up method!! 👍👍👍
I have changed my mind two years later. The reel is a must have!
It makes life easier. 😉
@@ToxicVaccines_HivHoax did you happen to come back to watch this video? Or did you remember leaving this comment and had to come back to correct yourself 😄
Umm .. rob is next to the house.. and the other guy is 50 feet further
yeah but who can bench more lol
No joke those are both some pain in the ass runs to get setup for those houses 😂 but ive got you both beat by a mile
Lets see how you can beat us haha! :)
I guess Rob was the CHAMIPION...?
This guy bought a hose reel after that L he just took
Ha I don't think so. He's pretty much old school. If it works for him thats cool.
Lol mine has a button I push and it literally retracts itself... I'm faster than both of these guys 😂😂 was this a literal joke?... I would have had 3 rooms presprayed already too before they even started
Retrieving Wealth this was a race between “professional” carpet cleaners. Scroll along to find your Splash & dash channel. 😁
I say Mike because he broke down everything and put it away compared to rob
rob allan had long vacuum house stays hued up into and his truck was gone rob allan WON
No contest Rob killed Mike.....
sleeveless shirt? REALLY?
+Lou Montana It was just a demo contest at his own house. Im sure he doesn't go with tank tops to clients homes.
TruckMountForums Thank you. I am just starting a carpet cleaning business and hope to appear professional.
Very good. You have the right attitude. I think you will be just fine. Congrats.
TruckMountForums Thanks partner. In southern Colorado it is hard to find anyone with carpet cleaning experience. Going to hit the market at a different angle and a really good follow up plan. See how it goes.
This video makes no sense whatsoever. Any professional knows that speed is not necessarily better. No shoe covers tracking in dirt all over the place. There is no point for this video at all.
This test should be done with in the same property.
