    First Ben and now you. Then I wander out to the shed and see the Hayter looking all forlorn. I think you blokes are trying to tell me something, I better get cracking 😉
    Seems a good option for striping high cut turf, without the maintenance cost of cylinder and bed knife grinding. I wondered how defined the striping would be, looks good.

    • @theaussielawn
      @theaussielawn  3 года назад

      Hi Phil Ohh you have a Hayter? I have a feeling this things roots come from Hayter but not 💯 on that! I think its a really good option as you say for low maintenance stripes. It feels like it will last for years and years. I was very lucky to be able to try it esp out at Arrowfield stud

    • @philrichmond5919
      @philrichmond5919 3 года назад

      @@theaussielawn yes, Toro now own Hayter and the Prostripe is based off the Hayter Pro. The domestic Hayter line now have the choice of the same 60v drive system as the Toro Recycler you recently tested.
      Mine is an ‘87 Harrier 48, single speed drive. Doesn’t have a split roller, has a threaded rod for the height adjuster so is infinitely variable between 13-57mm hoc but will give you RSI turning the adjuster. Should be fun to use, once I get it cleaned up.

    I would love one of these for the fall to pick up all the leaves. I use my Honda rotary before I reel mow but I hate how it leaves tire marks. If only they were more common in the states then I'd try and pick one up.

    Awesome mower and vid. Does the rye blend well with Kikuyu? Thinking of overseeding next year but worried it will make the lawn look patchy esp in summer when the rye starts to struggle

    • @theaussielawn
      @theaussielawn  3 года назад

      Thanks mate 😎 Yeah kikuyu and rye go pretty well together esp when the kikuyu is left a little longer (the rye and kikuyu blend is pretty common around the horse industries, most race tracks also have the kik and rye blend.

    What’s the go with Toro and Honda only giving 2 year warranty on their mowers ? I’d consider them a more premium mower then Victa etc but they offer 5-7 year warranty. Kinda puts me off buying their stuff for my lawn

    • @theaussielawn
      @theaussielawn  3 года назад +1

      Oh really? I didn’t realise victa is now 7yrs, that being said I know what I’d still rather own long term and apart from my little victa scalping mower it’s not a victa well maybe one their “professional alloy deck mowers “ but not the domestic stuff , but that’s only a personal opinion

    • @MattHew-dy1wl
      @MattHew-dy1wl 3 года назад +1

      @@theaussielawn I’m gonna go either a Toro or a Honda, but really only because of the 21-22 inch deck. Aussie companies seem to only do 19 inch decks for domestic mowers. The warranty is also 3 years for the same product in the states 🤷🏼‍♂️
