I appreciate that you tested the Yuka under real-world conditions. Most other reviewers are performing testing on perfect lawns that are already perfectly manicured and resemble a putting green, when the average person’s lawn is more closely represented by these tests. I like that you tested Unser thick, wet, mucky conditions, pushing the recommendations as it is important to know what you can expect as this is a significant purchase. Keep up the great work!
A good demonstration of conditions which are likely to be met in real life. This is the only robotic mower I have seen with a catcher which adds to its usefulness. The only question left is durability, and battery life. Looks an excellent option
Thank you for your review. This would be great for my family. I recently became disabled unexpectedly at 38 and my wife and I have a 2 year old. It's been rough keeping up with yard work. I used to LOVE cutting my grass and making nice stripes.. now I'm lucky if I can get someone to show up and do a good job and not rip me off. This would be a life saver!
Wow, that little mower was really put through it's paces. I'm amazed it cut through the grass that was taller than the mower itself. It sounds amazing for my my garden and would help me so much with maintaining my lawn as I have arthritis.
Nice to see that you have a mower that sweeps and operates in poor GPS signal locations. This will work perfectly at my place, where we have lots of overhanging trees.
The ability to operate under trees, with limited GPS, is really important. I was also surprised at how effective the sweeper was to collect the grass, etc. Great review that provided really useful and coherent info for me.
Such a thorough and informative video !! Well explained and even discusses any (very few) issues rather than simply mowing over them 😉 These videos are definitely my new obsession and I am super intrigued by the tech.
This was, without doubt, the most rigorous and convincing review of any robot mower I’ve seen. And I’ve seen a few! I was around 60% set on buying the Yuka next Spring but this review has bumped that up to 100% (unless, of course, I’m lucky enough to win one!) Thank you for your thoroughness; I really enjoyed and appreciated this review.
Gone are the days of kids following their dad's around with small toy lawnmowers! Also, the massive house in the background has multiple autonomous lawnmowers! Always driving around doing God's work
Thank you so much for showing the Yuka in real-wold conditions! It's almost always too wet to mow with our push mower in Taranaki so looking to get smart about how we mow.
Luba 2 was announced before I got to doing the Luba 1 update video... that is coming soon. These mower videos take months of work... vacuum can be done a lot faster!
Not only is this the most brilliant piece of kit but the dumping mechanism is such a help. I hate having to stop undo the back of my mower dump then put back and restart. It winds me up. What a change to my weekly life this would be
Super-impressed with your demonstration of the performance of this little helper! Our property in South West Wales UK "enjoys" copious amounts of rain which produces the lushest grass imaginable - you can almost hear it growing! A combination of a 6,000m2 meadow, plus another 3,000m2 of meandering "formal" garden means at least two - three full days of conventional mowing. It's pretty hard yakka (work) which honestly tests the stamina of both current mowing equipment and my 75 year old self!! A Yuka for the yakka would be a dream come true! (Fingers crossed!)
@@RobomateTV Yes, that makes good sense and is great advice. Actually, our "formal" garden is made up of five small path-connected feature gardens which, in themselves, are not at all challenging - just time consuming. A Yuka with its clipping catcher would keep this area nice & tidy. But, similar to your beautiful NZ property, our large, rougher meadow/field area might make a Luba2 the helper of choice I suspect. In other words we need both machines! Still have fingers crossed... Best regards to you too!
I love that it collects grass clippings, this would make my older parents lives so much easier. It would make such a good practical gift, better still it manages uneven ground.
I've been watching you for a while and your reviews are really enjoyable to watch. I hope you continue to grow your channel! Also the robot would be very helpful for my dad so fingers crossed!
this is ace, i could spend all day watching it. we have a huge area that has become so hard to cut as the ride on always dies and needs a new part! defo need to look into this. thanks
Great video! I loved seeing the Yuka in action, especially its ability to navigate tough conditions and maintain a clean cut. The advanced features like obstacle detection and the optional sweeper attachment really set it apart from other robotic mowers. I'm excited about the chance to win one-this would be a game changer for my lawn care routine! Thanks for the informative review!
That's a tough looking lawn mower! I looks like it would even be able to tackle my mess of a lawn straight out of the box. I love its little poop routine...
I finally bit the bullet and bought the Yuka. With the price point more inline with what I wanted to spend it is a fantastic piece of kit. Unfortunately the sweeper was out of stock in the UK but will be getting it once it is becomes available again.
Yep, I need more time to let the grass really recover before it shows the difference in result... but at this time in NZ it could be 3 more months and I wanted to get a video up!
I'll have to make some more videos soon... these mower videos take an insane amount of time compared with the vacuums. The nearest competitor to Yuka is probably Segway at this point. It has the single cutting disc and less traction but experience isn't bad
When Mammotion first announced the Yuka with that single wheel at the front, I had my doubts, but now I'm a believer. Yuka cutting that high grass was amazing!
Impressive demonstration, I have the original Luba 1 and it is doing a great job maintaining our 3 acre kikuyu lawns that I would not normally be able to mow through the NZ winter as the ground gets too soft for the ride on. These machines are impressive.
I’ve been looking into robot lawnmowers because here in north west of the UK it ALWAYS rains. I wanted it to be efficient and give those lovely lines. This is definately in my must haves. Just need to save up for 1 😂
amazing video! This content truly answers all the questions to if this is going to be a good purchase or not. Thanks again for taking the time to film!
Yep, it's still going! I now have a Luba 2 and Luba running and both doing a good job. Luba's current software is actually better than the original video too
This looks incredible! My neighbour has a tree in his garden and one root is breaking ground level in one corner of my garden, already grounding out my manual push mower. Apart from removing the root, would I measure the two sections separately? Secondly, does the memory allow both measure settings to be saved, so I do not have to keep measuring? Great top BTW!
I really appreciate your work, you make very cool videos and I always enjoy watching them. I could really use the Yuka for my parents since they can no longer mow the lawn themselves. Thanks for the good videos
Yuka for the win. Working away for a week and comming home each week to a maintained yard is one less job to do. Very impressive product and stress testing has been good to see its capabilities. I have been waiting for this review for a while as most reviews of the yuka are from the states.
Thank you so much for your wonderful video. Now, I now what I need to get to take care of my property. My house sits on a hill similar to yours only smaller and worse looking. I guess Yuka can help me to fix this problem. Take care!
Looks pretty sick tbh. Haven't seen that many other robo mower reviews but this one certainly looks like it does pretty much everything I'd expect from one
@@staceyrobinson3738 I'm seriously hoping @tez_r wins now, that'd be an amazing story. (We'll still keep it fair, although no one would believe us now if that did happen!) 😅
Don't worry, I'm not that lucky. Besides, I have to admit @staceyrobinson3738 's mum is also my mum. 😅 I've got the whole family subscribed to you now in hope to get mum a robot lawnmower for Christmas. 🤞
Still trying to decide between this and the Luba 2. Lawn around 1000m2 and mainly flat, but battery slopes at either end that are not entirely level and sit between 25-30 degrees, plus the edges of the flat area have steep drop offs, I’m not sure those tiny discs will cut to the edge! Any helpful comments would be appreciated. Thanks Robomate.
That was a pretty convincing review. I'd like to get a Robo mower for my 4800 s/m wooded lot. I've got a steep slope, such as you've demonstrated, but I also have a lot of tree roots and debris (twigs and nuts) that falls from the trees. I'd like to see how a Robo mower would handle that.
I see quite a few robotic lawn mowers used commercially. They are on my radar for our large communal garden, the problem is getting all the other tenement flats onboard, particularly landlords who have no interest in contributing to the financial upkeep of the garden.
A very impressive robot mower! I would love to own one as it would free me up to carry out more other tasks in the garden. What is the capacity of the sweer bag?
Haha honestly neither was I at first. The long grass obviously isn't my property - when I asked the owner if I could film it there they had warned me it was long but I didn't realise it would be that long!
Nice one! I'm amazed it did so well on tall grass. Robot mowers have a bit less torque I assume, and hence smaller blades. Is blade maintenance cycle a step up from a regular mower? Do you need to change them up regularly?

I found this robot on your channel, I didn't know of its existence. Looks nice ! However, it doesn't seem to be available in France for some reason. Nice review, pretty impressive, i wouldn't have dared sending it in the mud like that though 😅😅😅
I’ve been looking at one of these for a while now. So stoked to see it tested locally though!
Impressive, love the way it empties itself. The one think I don't like about collecting clippings is emptying the catcher. Love it.

I narrowed down my search to 3… Dreame A1, Segway Navimow and the Yuka 1500. I keep coming back to the Yuka and it’s number 1 on my list currently.
I got one of these. Its amazing, just make sure you tell it to mow the perimeter first or it will glitch out and mow the yard partially.

Amazing. Please provide updates over time, how do things break or wear, how painful is servicing and parts.
Will do. I'm not sure re the yellow sweeper brush... so far it's holding up well, but I can imagine it'll need replacing after a few more months
Looking forward to hearing how the Luba 5000 did over time too.

I can relate to that! If using a push mower I wait until it’s 110% full before emptying!
Great info, I am getting ready to retire and need something to keep my grass in check while I travel.

Nice one! I'm amazed it did so well on tall grass. Robot mowers have a bit less torque I assume, and hence smaller blades. Is blade maintenance cycle a step up from a regular mower? Do you need to change them up regularly?
Same honestly! Most robots struggle a lot. Blade maintenance is more regular but easier as you can just flip it over and switch with a screw driver.
