NYC Subway: R160 Siemens Cars running on the E, F & R lines (Mid Jan - Mar 2020)

- Enjoy some classic R160 Siemens train action at Lexington Ave - 63 St, Forest Hills - 71 Ave, 34 St - Herald Square & Kew Gardens - Union Turnpike.
As CBTC for the QBL is almost complete, many Siemens cars from the Coney Island Yard are making their way to the Jamaica Yard as QBL will need all R160s.

I rode on a R160B Siemens (E) express train to 34th St Penn Station
The JFK express train should stop at this station the JFK express should use r188s and r68s and r46s

R160 Simens Is My favorite
For my surprise, i cought a Siemens E train today. I didn't know it was coming. Very rare to see them. Not a lot of Siemens on the e and f
I think a lot of them are out on the E/F/R already but its all about luck lol.
@Team Epiphany Tyler The best way to catch Siemens cars on Queens Blvd is to post up at stations near terminals, i.e. Kew and 71st or Roosevelt, so if you see one going Jamaica Bound and miss it, its bound to come back Manhattan bound lmao. Also I tracked the 1st F on Subway Time because I rode it in the city in the morning then tracked it Jamaica bound lol

@@mikea7515 Nope, the N, Q, and W will be all R68/As. The last of these cars will transfer there from the B and D, which will get R211s due to CBTC implemented on 6th Avenue.
MTA SERVICE BUSES MTA OK BY the way I know the B82SBS and the B46 SBS is OK
I now see nothing but R46, and R68s on the N, Q, and W lines!
My g I caught 5 Siemens trains yesterday 1 each on the N/W and 3 on the Q at 34 St haha
The E,R trains has more Siemens sets than the F train running, bruh.

@@FuseguyisCool Well since they all are based out of Jamaica Yard, it is very easy to transfer a set to another line. The E, F, and R can have any amount of R160A-2s, R160B-1s (Alstom), and R160B-2s (Siemens) for the day.
I couldn't see this sadly, wish I were at 179th to hear it tho
Tbh when the R211 comes in would be pretty cool for the Siemens to run on the 6 ave and Broadway lines mostly them from Coney Island yard like for example Siemens would run on the D,F,N and Q all from Coney Island yard and sometimes on the R line and B lines and R211 mostly on E,C,B,W and R lines or maybe keep it the same

I feel they could have transferred all Siemens sets to Jamaica yard since these sets are always creeping on the Q line.

How many sets does it have now of the r160b?
Well all the r160 Alstoms are transfered. And a little more than half the siemen's fleet is on the QBL. It's hard to see one because of 3 reasons.
1. Not all the r160 siemens are used on the same day.
2. The r160s siemens are divided up into 3 lines. The E F and R.
3. There are a lot of alstom cars on the QBL, especially there were already some.

Because M trains are not part of Jamaica Yard they belong to East New York yard and they are four-car sets.
People go crazy in the stores, they don’t need like 500 rolls of toilet paper.

Impossible because the Siemens sets are part Jamaica Yard and the R160s of the M belong to East New York yard.

I gonna miss the R160B Siemens on the (N) (Q) and (W) but now the (N) (Q) and (W) has R46's R68's and R68A's. R106B Siemens on the (E) (F) and (R) will be awesome and amazing
You and me both but there are a good number of R160s on the Q and 1 set each of R160s on the N/W. Catch them while you can! I'm not that much of a fan of Siemens cars on the E but hell yes to the F/R 😎😎
