Mine has 435,000 and we live I live in the rust belt so that is saying some thing I replace the bed and the other one was rusting off and ready to fly off the back
I have a 92 with 223k and sometimes it'll crank and not start, then it'll start right up after a bit. Im gonna replace my relay also, start cheap first. I've heard once the pump goes bad its pretty much gone for good. So not sure if it'll sometimes work and sometimes not.
I have the same truck, same issue, but it's not the relay. When you were having that issue, when you turned the key, did you hear the fuel pump going, or nothing?
gotta check this on my 93 chevy it cranks but wont start might as well replace that small part to see if it will fix plus idk what has been replaced on it
If relay were bad would fuel be spraying out the throttle body while trying to start the vehicle ????? I have same engine same truck basically?????????
I’m having the same problem 4.3 tbi 1993 gmc, start it up in the morning go to work perfect turn it off but if I go start it a hour later it struggles to stay running, figured out that unplugging my iac valve allows it to start very weak though, haven’t found my problem yet. Also can’t set my timing. Did you figure it out
Probably won't be much help but 1988 though 1994 don't have a Fuze box in the engine bay. There is a fuse panel inside the cab around the steering column.the computer is located behind the glove box. There is also 1 Fuze right next to the fuel pump relay. 1996 through 1998 do have a Fuze box in the engine bay and the computer is also in the engine bay as well.
I know you probably got it figured out by now after five months but the next place to look is the fuel pump, then again it could be a myriad of different things
My truck is doing this same thing. Im gonna try replacing this part tonight hopefully it’s not the fuel pump. I’ve been driving my truck and this is 3rd time it doesn’t turn on u less I spray starter fluid
Thanks for the video I have an issue where the truck stalls at a stoplight I'm going to I'm thinking it might be a relay, I have a 1992 1500 Z 71 short bed standard cab 435,000 miles on it I'm a fan of these trucks also parts are easily available and fairly inexpensive, considering stupid Chevrolet will not sell a short bed regular cab truck in the United States any longer ,,bastards. My first thought would be the fuel pump but this is a much easier fix it sucks to replace a fuel pump if it's not necessary I wasn't aware that it really could cause this problem thanks for the video.
My 93 just turned 400,000. Best truck on the market.
Wow! Like a rock! I am currently searching for another Chevy. Most likely 1960s C10/20.
william martin 💕awesome!! Mine just turned 300k this summer, she’s kinda ugly but I love her
I thought mine had a lot! 225k! 93 Chevy Silverado
@@roastingking2406 s10 with 750k💀

That was the fastest driver door to engine bay walk around I've ever seen.
Lmao
I was waiting on it. You ain’t lying
😂
So happy that I looked this problem up..It worked perfectly. So happy thank you!
Like a rock!! (Chevy trucks) 👍🏻
Sure is!

How did that workout for you?
Did you replace relay? If so, did that fix it?

Nothing

It's a very cheap part, worth trying it. Good luck!
So did it work
If relay were bad would fuel be spraying out the throttle body while trying to start the vehicle ????? I have same engine same truck basically?????????
I dont think so, if it was not working the inyection wouldnt pump any gas, if your truck has inyection but dont start probably the problem is the coil
I had the same problem thank you 😊
Did if do this at first when the truck warms up and shut it off it won’t start again until it’s cooled off

I have a 1993 gmcc3500 my truck it'll start but when I make a long trip it won't start until 45mins to 1 hour idk why how do I fix this problem
Hey friend got the gmc same truck 1993s are a little weird do you have a fuzebox under the hood?
Probably won't be much help but 1988 though 1994 don't have a Fuze box in the engine bay. There is a fuse panel inside the cab around the steering column.the computer is located behind the glove box. There is also 1 Fuze right next to the fuel pump relay.

how do you know if it is the fuel relay?
You can check the code it throws I got a code 54 which is Fuel pump relay low voltage
I have a '93 Chevy 1500 I changed the same part ,it ran good for a while but it's still not wanting to start
I know you probably got it figured out by now after five months but the next place to look is the fuel pump, then again it could be a myriad of different things
It can be body grounds bad also. Check your body grounds
@@scraplifetrashtocash4551aren’t the body grounds the strap wires?
When you would run it would it stall?
Same problem w my 94 gmc cranks but no start replaced the ICM thought that was the problem
Issue fix?
With that also make it stop when your driving and slow down? Once in a while it will turn over but not start like yours did
I had the same problem thank you
My truck is doing this same thing. Im gonna try replacing this part tonight hopefully it’s not the fuel pump. I’ve been driving my truck and this is 3rd time it doesn’t turn on u less I spray starter fluid
Going to try this if nothing then it’s probably my fuel pump
No hay corriente en el relay y cambiandocelo no prendio! Que puedo hacer?
Fuse too relay other side of junction box
mine starts (95 with 5.7) but hesitates real bad and runs very weak at times. Problem?
Change all your sensors that what did my map sensor was my problem
Mines was ignition coil
I clapped for you
"I love Chevy, it's so cheap and reliable" it's so reliable it wouldn't start? And good thing the parts are cheap, it's gonna need lots of them.
So true... old car :)
si yo tengo una y es desastre no arranca
