The flow of genuine emotions in the crowd and with Billy as he sang the line “cause I know that it’s me they’ve been coming to see to forget abt life for a while” just gets me on tears. COVID really put everyone on hold
Wowee, what a show Billy put on. He dazzled us last night after the long COVID related delay and we were awed by his magnificent songs as well as an energetic and creative performance of a lifetime. The sold out crowd of fans were elevated by his stunning vocals and fabulous band. The variety of songs stunned the entire NYC crowd as we sang along and danced to our favorite tunes. New York City is proud of your most entertaining display of love and respect of the your hometown forever fans,
The garden was rocking. Friday night I took my son to his first concert for his 18th bday what better place to be. Billy sounded. Incredible. Welcome back billy was chanting a few times. Great light show.
That brief moment of complete harmony in the audience at 6:40 is truly touching. For 20 seconds no one was divided by race, age, or political views. We were simply one big group singing good music.
I was there for this show. My wife and I live in Atlanta and we drove up to spend our anniversary in NYC and watch Billy play. Watching him perform at MSG has been on my bucket list for a long time now. This was easily one of the happiest moments of my life.
I got to see this show that night with my dad who is 63 and I’m 25. We have been going through some tough times because of me being in rehab and dealing with addiction and we were able to bond like never before and forget about life. We were hugging and singing along and it was an unforgettable night. Thank you Billy Joel for the amazing show and letting us forget about life for a little while! God bless
My English is poor, but cannot stop saying Thank you for posting. Around 6,7th Nov. in Japan, his songs, downneaster Alexa, Leningrad etc. came to my mind, and stick till today. Yesterday 7th, I took out my CD of Billy I have only 1CD and checked the lylics for many years after. And now I tried to check Billy's news, and found this. I am happy to see this concert here♪
Just wow! This man is a legend. I'm in my mid-30s and I'm starting to realize which songs I want to see live in my life and this one is definitely one of them!
Dang! Have followed Billy for years. Was one of the few artists that sang his songs in the original key for SO LONG. But now, wow, can't Lower the key any further. Also starting to speak the words instead of singing them. But what a legend, what a talent. The voice is gone, the legend remains.
We flew in from LA for this show. It was EPIC. Ranks right up there with when I saw Prince Purple Rain Tour at the Carrier Dome for best perfomance I've ever seen. 72 years young.
Greetings from Germany I was at the concert in the MSG in August 2019. It was simply great. Nice to see that he is well and it sounds as good as ever. Thank you for sharing
I wouldn't walk across the street to see him play a fart...Long live real rock and roll not bubble gum music...Ask his former band member what they think of him...The ones that are still alive
Saw him last night, this was my first concert and I got to see him with my dad and grandfather amazing night.
Your first concert was a great one!
Awesome ! What songs did he sing?
That memory will last forever...God Bless You!
Billy is in great shape, a national treasure.

The Piano Man has aged like fine wine!

Man such an amazing musician 🙌 😍 bravo bravo bravo 👏 🙌 👍
久しぶりにBILLYの歌声を聞けて嬉しい!
So AWESOME!!! I was at the show 14th row on the floor. Absolutely electric that night at his first show back at The Garden!!!
We flew in from LA for this show. It was EPIC. Ranks right up there with when I saw Prince Purple Rain Tour at the Carrier Dome for best perfomance I've ever seen. 72 years young.
What a legend and legendary song! 🥲
Been to Billy’s concert three times. I wish I were there for this one. It looks amazing.
The best. El más grande.

Thank you for sharing
This is absolutely outstanding! Thank-you so much for posting this!
Looking forward to 20th December...
Great show I’m in the grey sweater all the way on the right
How wonderfully awesome, not sure what the excitement was beforehand - ? All I can say is WISH I WAS THERE
The excitement beforehand was Scenes From An Italian Restaurant wrapping up. It was equally epic.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Just got tickets for Vegas in February! 👍
some voices fade with age. I think Billy's voice has actually gotten better as he's gotten older.
NYC is returning to normal
No it’s not. you literally have to have a vaccine to realistically live in that place.
Take me to know NY friend
Had to sale my tickets because I am not vaccinated
But I am glad that 2 people went and saw him instead of me
NYC pays you $100 to get vaccinated. Would have paid for the cost of your ticket and possibly saved your life 🙄
@@terrym5023 bruh you literally have 99% of living from this. “Saved your life”🤡🤡
What is the name of the melody that Billy Joel played at around 0:54?
I saw Elton John absolutely butcher I'm Still Standing on Global Citizen and I had to see how Billy is doing
Billy has so much energy he kills this
His energy is 100% better. I can tell he's lost weight. I started to think he could JUST sit his ass at the piano. Good for him.
He lost 50 lbs due to back surgery.
Not the way you want to lose it but he looks great.
@@Flint92 he didn’t lose it directly because of the surgery, he was just eating less for a while afterwards
@@samglover4923 correct. I didn't phrase it that way.
