Pick anything of hers you want. She will kill it guaranteed. Can she cover Whitney? Yup and she does it better than anyone you can name. FYI, her fans love her as much for her character as they do for her musical ability. She is more than a great singer. She is also a very humble, and caring individual that is well grounded.
I’m actually excited that you’ve found Angelina because you get what’s special about her right away. And you’ve only heard a couple songs, in the same general style. What you can’t know yet is the incredible span of styles she can crush-and she sings just about everything as if it’s in her sweet spot. She sings in a way you’ve never seen before: stunning, but looking like it’s effortless. She always gives you her version, but never strays from the essence of the originals. I can’t wait for you to get into some different genres. You’re impressed now, but what Angelina can do with blues and jazz is something you just cannot believe until you hear it. You may have read how her cover of Billie Holiday at age seven is legendary. She’s just had it from the cradle-perfect pitch, incredible timing, and the ability to connect with listeners instantly. For me, it was right around when Angelina was 10 years old that I stopped thinking of her as a truly amazing child singer and realized she was the best singer I ever heard. I realize that’s difficult to accept, but you haven’t heard nothin yet.

She finally got the chance 10 years later on AGT. She also saw Whitney Houston and wanted to become a Superstar singer also. She also covers Whitney Houston's

at age 11. It was a 1st take of a rehearsal video. She kills it, virtually singing acapella. It's another live performance. One take !!.

I like that you are picking the songs you know & love, because you can appreciate what she does to songs with her original arrangements, which she has been doing since she was 7. Most fans like reactors to follow the chronological development of her voice, because it's amazing. But her music catalog is so extensive, that it will take you a year or two to catch up to where she is now, & she's released 3 new songs in the last 5 months, with an album coming soon. Can't wait for the next one!
Almost all of the videos are live. Any of the videos you find that are just her and a guitarist were done in only one or two takes. There are a large number of her videos that are recorded at small concerts where she is live with a band or orchestra.

We call her the angel with 1000 voices, because she's able to change the colour of her voice perfect to the song, especially to a cover of other artist. But she ever does her own spin on it, so it becomes her song.

Dave, all Angelina fans know exactly how you are feeling. She has a way of reaching inside of you and not letting go. I can not and will not go a day without listening to multiple songs from Angelina. I have been convinced for quite a while that she is the greatest vocalist ever, and with each new song she just adds separation between herself and everyone else.
You have heard her now at ages 12 through 15. I would suggest you travel back to when she was 9 years old and watch her cover of Screamin' Jay Hawkins I Put a Spell On You, the B&W Studio recording. Your head may explode, but it is worth it.

She does most of her covers like this, in fact she excels most when the accompaniment is stripped down. It's a very deep rabbit hole. Your excitement and enjoyment are wonderful to watch.

She is just a kid after all. Many times I've read in these reaction videos of people saying things like she is a treasure that needs to be safeguarded. I've never met her and yet it's like she's in my family. Just love this girl. I hope you introduce her to many more brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, grand dads and grand mothers.

Angelina was 13 years old when she sang this. It's insane! She has a way of tapping into an "universal love", I would call it. Obviously she hasn't experienced romantic love at that age or prior but she KNOWS what love is and pours it into every one of her songs.
All her performances are live. Apart from the Norway's Got Talent, the AGT ones and the concerts she's given, she normally just records herself or has her grandma do it, singing with a track or with a musician. Recently one of her all-time guitarists said in an interview that they would bounce ideas for song off each other and decided what they would sing. The recording usually took one or two takes and that was it! And I'm talking since she was a little girl!

You won't believe what you're seeing or hearing from a little nine year old girl. And it's set in an "old-fashioned" black & white studio background with a great jazz band!
You mentioned I have nothing. That is beautiful bearing in mind she was 13, not 28 like Whitney, but it shows a few limits in belting notes at that age. It was a tribute she dedicated to a great artist. If you like jazz listen to her outdoor live performances of greatest classics. Unbelievable!
I really enjoy watching your reactions because it is obvious that you really love and understand Angelina's extreme musical talent. Nonetheless, I think it is time to get really blown away, her 'I put a spell on you' (the black and white version) from when she was 9 will surely short circuit a couple of you brain cells as it did to me. I also hope you will look into some of her early jazz covers, especially from the Norway got talent show. Gloomy Sunday, Summertime and I'm a Fool to love you (capella). Extremely rare for a 8 years old to deliver such a musical performance.

Dave welcome to the choir of angels who cherish the most talented vocalist of our lives. Angelina is unlike anything we have experienced before. Her Whitney Houston cover of I Have Nothing is a good choice but you will learn that so many other performances from when Angelina was 6 through 13 will likely surpass that one as your favorites. Angelina excels when the effort level is a 1 out of 10. Most vocalists try to reach that 10 level while Angelina has the skills to do so much when her voice just easily flows.

It’s really fun to share the AJ experience with those you love. Perhaps there is another cover of hers that your wife could connect with well, but I became extremely blown away when I started to hear some of her originals “Shield, and What Is Life”, and of course her new major label releases Million Miles Away (4 months ago), and 7th Heaven (2 weeks ago). After watching her perform as early as 6Yo and growing to where she is today I feel like a proud Father/Uncle/Brother or something..Kinda weird since i have never met her but I find myself wishing her the best from that perspective. There are videos where she is actually reading the lyrics as she sings. It will blow your mind. Pure perfection
As you mentioned, AJ gives all her covers her special "Angelina touch", but what she never does is show boat. As you continue your AJ journey you will notice this too. Even when she was real little she refrained from doing the things that all other young singers do, belting and carrying on to show their ability's at every note they can, none of that from AJ (mature at 7...). That is why I find myself listening to her songs again and again. A showboat may be impressive and fun to watch once, but a true artist that puts her whole soul in to interpreting the song, and doesn't strain to impress me, now that impresses me!...lol!

You should go back to the beginning, when she entered and won Norway's Got Talent ( just turned eight yrs old when she won). You will see then that she was born to sing. She was so amazing then......you can not believe your eyes and ears . That's when we all fell madly in love with her !!

There are some reactors that have gotten so obsessed with Angelina that she is the only artist they react to. I can totally understand that. Angelina doesn't just sing. She attacks your heart, rips it open, and the she fills it full of her emotion. You will get addicted to her.
