I AM SO EXCITED TO SHARE THIS KITCHEN REVEAL WITH YOU ALL NEXT WEEK! If you want to see the reveal early, I’m sharing all the juicy details on my Patreon: Patreon.com/diyhuntress THANK YOU for being so supportive throughout this entire project! Couldn’t do any of this without you! 💓
Its looking so good! 🔥 Im not sure if you are aware, maybe its just me, but your videos are so quiet i have to turn the volume all the way up and when a commercial comes on it blasts me out of me seat. Haha is it just me? I dont usually have this problem.
Hi Sam….I just came across your channel and I am happy I did. I am in “AWE” how talented you are. Your content I just love. You explain everything with ease. I am purchasing a house this year and I can’t wait. You have given me so many ideas. Please continue with your content and ideas🏠
Loving how many "happy dances" you got to do for this video, lol ! SO much work, yet you always are upbeat & make it feel like folks with some gumption COULD attempt this. Turned out "Fancy Pants Magazine Photo Spread" worthy, lol 😆! You might have to upgrade your "loungewear" (i.e.robe) for this chic kitchen, lol ! 😆
You are doing a great job! Love how are you are maximizing your square footage! It's looking great, and I am so happy, that you're happy! You are however driving me a little batty, with one tiny thing... level is horizontal, and plumb is vertical. 😆 Keep up the great work! So, so happy for you and your hubby on the new 🏠!!
@DIY Huntress I know you're right! I am just weird like that. I wanted to be an English Teacher, then became a locksmith, the manager of a storage facility, an on-air DJ, then a hypnotherapist, and finally a housewife, with horses, a pig, duck, chickens, goats, dogs, cats, and fish, who l9ves to build things, etc. All that said.... words stick in my head. I didn't mean to offend, and I'm sorry if I did. I do love how you empower yourself to do typically male things. My dad taught and helped me as well.
Did you let it slake? You gotta let it slake. This concludes my tile knowledge 😂 I’ve done two tile projects and I DO NOT want to do another one, but I want a tile backsplash, so if you get the itch to break out the tile saw, come on over!!
The large-format tiles going all the way up to the ceiling makes the kitchen look so slick and modern, but timeless at the same time. Just a terrific look!
Love love love this!! Your tile choice is Gorgeous!! The vertical layout is Fantastic!! It looks like a professional of 50yrs installed it!! FABULOUS job Sam!!!!
Girl, i love your work but pleeeease turn the overall volume of your videos up, i have to crank my device to 100%, can barely hear you, then get screamed at by the ads because my volume is so loud 😫😫
Sam, the kitchen is beautiful. I love the choice of colors and I am crazy about the counter to ceiling tiling. Thanks for sharing this project with us.
NFPA Article 210.8 Ground-Fault Circuit-Interruptor Protection for Personnel. (6) Kitchens - where the receptacles are installed to serve the countertop surfaces. (7) Sinks - where receptacles are installed within 1.8 m(6ft) from the top inside edge of the bowl of the sink [GFCI protection of receptacles located within 6 feet of a sink located in other than the kitchen]. I couldn’t tell if the receptacles where GFCI protected or if you had a 20 amp GFCI breaker installed.
Great job! With the window above sink, have you thought about painting the inside wood color trim black? I think it would finish that window & make it blend nicely!😊
This looks absolutely gorgeous. I couldn’t be more proud of you sweetheart! Have a blessed night stay warm, more snow coming on Tuesday for us in Massachusetts.😢loves and hugs Otis 🐶and me….
Looks great! Absolutely correct decision to tile above cabinets. I use an even easier method to tile backsplashs in small kitchens (although it’s somewhat more expensive) - I tile the entire walls BEFORE hanging cabinets! This is a lot faster, cuz you don’t have to make cuts around cabinets. I suppose one could extend the tile to just under the edges of where the cabinets will be hung in order to save tile, but I like seeing the fully tiled walls when I open the cabinets. Of course, my method could be cost prohibitive in a kitchen with lots of tile and cabinets.
That tile is perfection! I am a psychiatric RN that works for a mobile crisis team. Beginner DIY’er after hours……It least I try but as you know, some days are too much. You are a rock star in my eyes for building a house after working all day helping people. I just wanna relax with a glass of wine after a days work 😂. I’ve realized that diy projects are my therapy and I want to thank you for being such an inspiration. ❤
I just tiled my backsplash too! I haven't grouted yet. I did a white subway tile and got a dark premixed grout but then got nervous because it has sand and someone said it could scratch the tile. Thoughts?
Sam! Are you thinking of some live edge floating shelves for the wall to the left of the sink? If not, you definitely should! Get some color and decor in there 🤘🏼
Great job Sam!!! I really dig the vertical stacked bond. Now wit dat bein said I triple dog dare you to infinity with no dare backs to pop the one off over the door cut in a full one notched out & continue it to the corner... LOL!!!! Joking but not joking. It looks fantastic Homie!!! Hoping all is well my friend, Dirty Jersey out!!
Looks amazing....I just redid my kitchen and paid a pretty penny. Wish I had your mad skills to do it myself. FYI I had just the trim around my kitchen window painted black and it framed the view so beautifully and made a huge statement. Something to consider?
Damn Sam, it looks amazing. Thanks for sharing how to calculate the tiles and everything you did, and thanks for sharing your skills with the world. stay safe
I love the kitchen but the only thing that I would have done different was to have the cabinets go up to the ceiling and paid just a little extra for a slide in range. My kitchen layout is almost identical. I also had a refrigerator cabinet built. All and all you have a beautiful kitchen.
It looks amazing. I love the vertical position and definitely think you made the right choice going to the ceiling and going above the cabinets. It's so good!!!!
Sam that is extraordinary. You make it look like it took 15 minutes - amazing what editing can do for you :) My wife and I wanted a tile cutting saw but I chose to use the dreaded Flex grinder (amazing tool by the way) - and, oh did I get good at that tool - but in your case - did you buy the tile saw or rent it. In our small town, renting a tile saw means getting a 20 year old 500lb beast and we were pinching pennies for the flip house. Thanks!
You've done a fantastic job on your kitchen, the back splash is a work of art but the space seems a bit clinical with all the black and white. Maybe you could do some diy projects with some warm toned wood and that would bring some warmth to the space but maybe youve already done that already in the full reveal :p looking forward to seeing the finished kitchen :).

Tiling right to the ceiling looks so good! I'm taking notes
THANK YOU FOR THISSS. I went back and forth on this so much!
Oh my goodness Sam!! I love these tiles. Kitchen is looking gorgeous 😍
Thanks so much! 😊
Wow!! The backslash looks amazing!! Totally right, it does make the kitchen feel cozy!
Thank you so much! 🥹

It’s looking so good 😍💪🏻
Awesome job Sam!!! I love it!!❤
Thank you so much!

As long as everything is straight, that’s really all that matters. 🙃 Thank you!!

Beautiful, enjoying your videos!

Shivering 🖤🔔 (subscribed).
Thank you!
Will the window stay yellow?
The trim? For sure not. Finishing touches next weekend!
So Happy you didn’t go all white love the contrast🖤
Future Sam high fives present Sam......
The large-format tiles going all the way up to the ceiling makes the kitchen look so slick and modern, but timeless at the same time. Just a terrific look!
Thank you for this commmeenntt! I wasn’t sure other people would like it!
I agree! This is the best possible way to apply the tiles for that modern, yet timeless look, imo. Great job Sam!
I love it too! It's unique and really makes this little kitchen shine!
Love the tile and the direction you went with! It really made the space look so much bigger! Bravo ❤
Thank you so much! I totally agree. It’s such a small space, but it feels so tall now!
Love love love this!! Your tile choice is Gorgeous!! The vertical layout is Fantastic!! It looks like a professional of 50yrs installed it!! FABULOUS job Sam!!!!
Ahhh! Thank you! 💓
I am obsessed 😍😍 I love your kitchen a little more every video 😘
I can’t wait for you to see it in person! 😘
I love the tile you chose! looks so good and I feel like it warmed up the space so nicely! great job👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you so much!
Girl, i love your work but pleeeease turn the overall volume of your videos up, i have to crank my device to 100%, can barely hear you, then get screamed at by the ads because my volume is so loud 😫😫
You did a wonderful job. Love the finish results. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thank you!
I like it
The placement of the vertical lines is unconventional but looks great and the color choice looks great with the counter top
Great job Sam
Definitely different! But, I like different. 🙃 Thank you!
The colour scheme of the kitchen is so damn delicious 😍✨ Very nice job very sleek
Ahhhh. It IS delicious! Thank you!
Nice job on tiling! I think you made some pretty good choices there as the color, tile shape and direction all work beautifully together. Well Done!
Thank you so much!
The backsplash is dope! Love that you went to the ceiling
Thank you so much! This makes me so happy!
This looks so beautiful! You did an amazing job. I didn’t think I like vertical tiles but you’ve changed my mind! Can’t wait to see what you do next!
Sam, the kitchen is beautiful. I love the choice of colors and I am crazy about the counter to ceiling tiling. Thanks for sharing this project with us.
Thank you so much!
Maybe you should consider either painting your outlets or maybe get some inox ones, so they can blend with your backsplash... Looks great!
Great idea!
❤❤love the tile. At first I was worried it was going to be too dark but the light from the sun makes it look so light and beautiful. Great work
Thank you! It looks darker on camera… but when you look at the entire space as a whole it’s perfect!
The color is beautiful. The color choice makes it classy and chic. I’m in love with it.

All of the electrical has been updated to GFCI.
Great job! With the window above sink, have you thought about painting the inside wood color trim black? I think it would finish that window & make it blend nicely!😊
Thank you! Have something else planned for now. Can’t wait to share!
The tiling on the walls makes the kitchen look so beautiful, love the color you used . Beautiful well done 👍🏾👍🏾.
Thank you so much!
This looks absolutely gorgeous. I couldn’t be more proud of you sweetheart! Have a blessed night stay warm, more snow coming on Tuesday for us in Massachusetts.😢loves and hugs Otis 🐶and me….

Beautiful! I do think that you tiled two whole walls in your kitchen and not just the backsplash 😉
I mean… if it protects the walls from splashes it is technically a backsplash. Right? 😁
Wow!! That looks so amazing! I love the vertical format- it looks super high-end. Congrats!
I just tiled my backsplash too! I haven't grouted yet. I did a white subway tile and got a dark premixed grout but then got nervous because it has sand and someone said it could scratch the tile. Thoughts?
Looks great, Sam. I really like the vertical pattern of the tiles. You did a great job lining up the seams, too.
Bill
I like combination if the tiles and the countertops.
Modern, cool and right between light and dark.
Impressive attention to detail and skills. 👍
Looks great. Curious if you're going to paint the window white? It looks cream and everything else is white.
Sam! Are you thinking of some live edge floating shelves for the wall to the left of the sink? If not, you definitely should! Get some color and decor in there 🤘🏼
I like laying tile, but absolutely hate grouting part......
You do amazing work just started watching your Chanel
This is one beautiful job again. You always succeed in doing a beautiful update. Love your videos so much. Can hardly wait for your next one.

Love love love the tile and the pattern in which you chose! It’s all coming together. ❤
Anyone else think the volume in this video was especially low? So excited to see this coming to life tho!
I heard mixing grout or cement can kill your drill thoughts?
The vertical line looks great! Really makes the space feel larger.
The tile turned out great! You did an amazing job. 👏

Ahaha - thanks, my dude! Hope all is well!
You did a really beautiful installation, love your attention to detail!
Looks amazing....I just redid my kitchen and paid a pretty penny. Wish I had your mad skills to do it myself. FYI I had just the trim around my kitchen window painted black and it framed the view so beautifully and made a huge statement. Something to consider?
Thank you! Something to think about, for sure!
Damn Sam, it looks amazing. Thanks for sharing how to calculate the tiles and everything you did, and thanks for sharing your skills with the world. stay safe

The tiles just make your kitchen! Looks great!❤️🇨🇦
Thank you!
I love the kitchen but the only thing that I would have done different was to have the cabinets go up to the ceiling and paid just a little extra for a slide in range. My kitchen layout is almost identical. I also had a refrigerator cabinet built. All and all you have a beautiful kitchen.

Nice and happy DIYer...I love it!
So happy!

You’re looking at it unfinished right now. There’s still one more video! Can’t wait to share the entire open concept space!
I love It! Can't wait for the last part!!!
I’M SO EXCITED.
