Gary Parmelee yea I stretched the front and lowered the spring hangars. The rear is stretched a little bit too, 4 link in the rear on coil springs. Wheel base is about 104.5”
Awesome video. I bet that was a lot of work, setting up the camera and walking back to it over and over. Thanks for the effort and a cool 4wheeling video!
DCW Films the axles are Chevy Dana 60 and 14 bolt. Just regular shackles and leaf springs in the front. The rear was 4 link in this video. Yes there was Detroit lockers in both axles.
Excellent work, thank you for sharing, I’m thinking on doing this, can you do a video on what you would have done different, if anything? Again, bad mo fo you got there, and looks like you are thoroughly enjoying the fruits of your labor
xd9g17 I think I would have stretched the rear some more. I don’t like comp cuts personally, but I could have got a few more inches out of it without a full comp cut. Other than that, with my budget, I am fairly happy with the way I built it. It will go they some changes in the future, but this was my way of getting it on the trail with what I had and could afford at the time.. there is room to grow from here, I can always link the front or add coil overs or whatever, the possibilities are endless as long as you have and endless budget! It does work pretty well and I don’t have any issues with anything yet, so I guess that is good! Build what you can afford, that’s my advise!
@@kssooner3495 yea you definitely want shocks but it wasn’t bad going on a slow trail ride, it dont get out of control going slow. I just wasn’t finished with the build at the time.
On of the best yj wheeling videos out there! In fact i cant think of a better one I've seen!!
Nice rig, gotta love a SOA YJ. See ya stretched it some. No leaf springs in rear. The more I watch , the more tricks I see. Really good build.
