The problem is that not only these protesters are hypocritical but they are far worse when it comes to pushing their way of life on others because Christians come to all sorts of events that have nothing to do with them to try to convince others to adopt their beliefs. LGBT people celebrate their rights with pride parades but don’t come to events like carnivals or Christmas parties to convince others to become gay or transgender.

A lot of them genuinely think they won't, or just that premarital sex is so bad you should be punished for it with your life being completely destroyed. My parents lost their shit when they found a condom in my wallet and my mother specifically told me she'd rather I "suffer the consequences of premarital sex" than do it safely. I was 19 and single. It was given to me by a friend at University who worked at the sexual wellness center.
I also thought...do they know that straight people use condoms too? And that it is a good thing to know how to do that correctly no matter what sexuality?!?!

Normally I hate Street interview content because it always feels like it's being manipulated somehow to spin a narrative (almost always conservative supporting one) but this is SO good. Incredible.

At most public schools might have a GSA and will tell kids to be nice to gay people. They see that and just say it’s indoctrination

No, they did. The fall didn't happen until Adam ate the fruit and started feeling shame, implying that he knew it was wrong but ate it anyway. However there's speculation that the serpent was a servant of God so maybe the whole "God set it up" thing might be a little accurate depending on your interpretation of the story.

I mean, it's good practice as an interviewer to let the interviewee speak, and to gently prompt them towards opening up about their views and ideas, to make them feel comfortable speaking their mind and being their real selves. Being all combative isn't gonna help with that.

I hate the argument that kids being exposed to LGBTQ+ topics will somehow make them queer. My brother and I have different mothers, he is 9 years older than me and his mother came out as gay when he was 6. My dad remained lifelong friends with her even after their divorce. I was raised around her and her friends, after my parents got divorced when I was 5 (my dad was a great guy but had a very bad marriage batting average) she would even babysit me. Though I am a strong ally, I am a straight cis male, the entire idea that being exposed to LGBTQ+ idea somehow "infects" children or something, is wild to me. I don't know, maybe when kids learn about this stuff at a young age, they realize that it is okay to be who they are? Just a thought.

Their solution to the wide diversity of human experiences as it relates to sexuality and gender identity is to simply bury it and pretend it doesn't exist. They think that by bullying and coercing vulnerable people into believing their natural inclinations are sinful, they can control their behavior.
Seeing that queer people not only exist but can be happy and live fulfilling lives shatters their manufactured illusion and loosens their control over others, possibly even their own children. It's why they claim such things are "social contagions" and why they're reeling over popular culture depicting this natural human diversity. They've lost cultural control over what's considered socially acceptable "behavior."

Most of the time they use religion to justify their worldview when religion isn't based on evidence. Therefore, they shouldn't be using Religion to justify something unless what they are using to justify their worldview is based on factual evidence. Anything beyond Religion is usually subjective opinions which usually go along the lines of "They're pretending to be something they aren't" which isn't true but even if it was that doesn't mean what they're doing is wrong and they shouldn't be allowed to be who they are.
