- The #100mphsr250 required a clutch inspection so I thought I would take the opportunity to film the process and at the same time show how the oil and filter can be changed - because I already needed to drain the oil and remove the covers etc. In the next video we will look at adjusting valves, cam chain tension and inspect timing.

That bike looks so clean and improved....My exhaust tube got a bit like a gold color and I like it. It looks like a saxophone indeed. I love it, great product you sell. I'm sure that that's just because I had to close a lot with a DB Killer the exhaust I bought elsewhere and I installed, to make my inox one quiter.
Thank you so much for this helpful video!!
Thanks for the tips Jake
super job ! helped a lot!!!!
this video is great!!
This is great!
Love it, thanks
I've seen that side of the engine opened many times and the original seal doesn't use to leak as far as it's not broken.
Exactly 😊
Hey great vid! Quick question, what torque setting would you suggest for the cover bolts?
The manual states 7.2ft-lb for the long oil filter cover bolts and for the crank case cover bolts it specifies 5.1ft-lb. But these settings are so low, we usually just do these up by feeling - tight enough but not too tight!
Where can I find a kick starter for a sr185 assuming it's the same as the 250
ahora mismo lo tenéis agotado, ¿vais hacer mas? Gracias por vuestro trabajo
Not sure I understand what you mean sorry!
@@JadusMotorcycleParts Now they are sold out on the web, are you going to make more pieces? o Are you going to sell it again? Thank you
Please, help me: yesterday when I started the SR250, after 6 years of being stopped and after having cleaned the carburettor, I put the petrol tap on PRI to start the engine.
I got distracted and after about 30 seconds - 1 minute, I heard petrol falling to the ground through the air filter box tube: is this normal, or is there something wrong with the carburetor floats? Help me, thanks
Has anyone tried the roll pin mod yet?
Que velocidad alcanza?
What are you using for the upper oil plug? Looks metal as opposed to the stock rubber
Hi! I am not sure what you mean… Do you mean the oil filler cap? The stock one is plastic and the one I have installed here is a metal one with an oil temperature guage in it!
Is this the same motor as a 1980 yamaha tt 250 or xt 250. Looks the same inside
Yepp! For the most part :)
Sorry, a suggestion: is it absolutely necessary to empty the oil motor in order to remove the starting motor?
In other words, can I avoid to empty the oil motor if I remove the right crankcase cover?
@@ivandepasquale2717 Hi Ivan, not if the bike is level. But if you lean it to the left side you can!
@@JadusMotorcycleParts First of all, many thanks.
In your opinion, could be enough to lean the bike on the left side stand?
I would like to buy your fuel filter. Where can I get it?. Maybe you could sell it with the right lenght size tubes and nice clamps.
That is a quick connector for disconnecting the tank quickly ;)
@@JadusMotorcycleParts Ah, Ok. A bit big. I have there a Briggs & Stratton Inline fuel filter now, but it gets a bit tight to fit with the tubes (not perfect, but more or less right). I tried before 90 degrees filters, but they were from China and they melted. They were fitting better (after cutting them a bit) though. It's very difficult to find a 90 degrees fuel filter that makes the job with the right size and is good.
Hello,
Can anybody tell me, where i can buy the oil filter cooler?
I would like to custom my bike
Thx
They were a limited production item and are not made any more sorry!
Oh o.k. Thx for answering
