I can't describe how happy I am that I'm still listening to strong old school Bodom sound in 2023. Thank you Janne for firing up the Warmen engines again.

I like this better than the title track but they both sound a lot like bodom they always have but especially now I think less likely an official bodom one-off show celebrating alexi’s life will happen if doing it here

Imagine being a teenager listening to COB and Norther and that someone tells you 20 years later, these two bands would merge... yet, they sound just like on the AYDY album... this is like a dream come true!

I'm so glad that Petri joined Warmen, this sounds amazing! The main riff reminds me a lot of I Worship Chaos, this is the CoB sound I've missed for so long. And Petri using the Jackson Randy Rhoads in those colors, amazing tribute to Alexi! 🤘

Technically it was roope's 1st, and alexi had it in tribute to him, but became more synonymous with alexi over the years

It sounds like Bodom because it's Warmen. He's a large percentage of the sound. It's an acceptable reason.

This is the first time that a band is changing direction the right way.
That doesn’t mean old warmen are not good but since COB arent not here anymore i d rather prefer that COB like direction to old warmen TBH.
It’s more heavy and band can tour with this kind of music.
Im a keyboard player and i like warman style but i prefer melodic death COB ish song to instrumental power metal with lot of solos.
Petri plays Jackson like Alexi. Good choice.
There is NO fucking way that Petri is in Warmen. I just binged on Norther's N album!! And Janne is epic as always. COB will always have a special place in my heart (and ears!) I don't know when I was THIS excited about a record. What a fucking sound. 10/10

I don't think anybody expected the new iteration of Warmen to be *this* good. If the first two releases are anything to go by then this will be the album of the year for sure.

If I'm not mistaken in CoB Alexi did most of the songs with Janne. In Warmen I heard interviews where songs are mostly made with Janne and his brother(Antti) who plays guitar (Alexi taught him how to play back in the day).. probably they all contributed their own way when making songs. Actually, we have seen Antti playing quite many CoB gigs after Roope "left the band".
After all, this is just an epic project hopefully their focus stays on the Warmen project it can become a big thing.

I'm loving this a lot. Yes, it's essentially CoB, but I guess given how big of an influence Janne had on the sound of that band, this is kind of evident. I look forward to the album for sure and am very interested in where they take the sound on the next one.

@@xsploit True. Janne's keyboard work is quite a big part of Bodom, yet Alexi's finishing touch on the music is what made them stand out imo.
Atleast that's what I think, since he apparently was the one that wrote most of the songs.

Absolutely incredible! Way to go guys, Petri as my favorite vocalist and is such a good fit to carry the torch!! As a drummer myself this guy nails the parts and also creates his own name. Whatever happens from here keep it rolling! Don't loose this energy!

To be honest i thought, in 5-10 years after Alexi passed away, Children of Bodom could take Petri onboard and it will be the band that is difficult to distinguish from original COB. But this is also cool.
Petri to COB would be great…
Lots of COB familiar riffs and licks are in place (in a good sense!). Intro is like a COB "Nailed 24/7", interlude and chorus feel like "Thrashed, lost and Strungout", the verse is like "I Worship Chaos". Guitar and keyboard solos are the unique ones though)

OMG, this feels like the first time i heard CoB back in the late 90´s. The goosebumps are there, and the new reborn of Warmen. I dont even know how many times i've listening to Somebody watching me. All love to you guys, and looking forward to the whole album ❤. This entire song felt like a trip through the history of Bodom to BaM! All i have to say is OMG!!!
Gonna love this song. I secretly wished they made this move and revive Warmen in the Bodom style. The only thing that's left to wish is guest guitar solos by Alexander, Roope and Daniel ;)

I agree with this statement, although maybe at least for a tribute tour or something, I have no objection to new music either, but just like the Pantera situation, its a pretty touchy subject. I like what the tribute tour is doing, but weary of what they would do with out Dime and Vinnie, although there have been many bands that have continued with out vital members in the past. I have no objections to continuing if all parties (Alexi's family included) wants to re-fire the machine, since COB is not Pantera. But I think we've got the perfect goldilocks scenario here with Warmen. Obiously Cameos, and a few bodom covers live would be awesome, but I trust Janne and the old COB factions to make the right decisions for them.
What else can one say than I am glad this is happening!😀 Hopefully this becomes a regular band, not only a project that would be possible to hear live. Heard Ensiferum a month ago on Metalfest and despite I heard them before, this time I was wondering why I am not already listening to this band😀. I guess because there is thankfully a large number of great bands out there!
