This is incredible, looks as good or even better than new after 24 years. Makes me wonder what care routine you have with the uppers to keep it in such good condition?
Actually, I don't do much. Mostly just brush them over and then use a cloth. I keep shoe trees in them. I think they are just very good leather.

I am looking into buying my first pare of good shoes, I am 18. I am very impressed by you shoes you have acquired of ebay and other sites. Would you have any advice on buying crocket and jones from ebay, size, bad repairs etc?
For me, C&J sizing is generally as stated, with E being normal width and F being wide. You may come across other widths such as EE, which I think is wider than standard. As for condition, I would examine the photos and maybe stay clear of shoes with an added stick on rubber sole. It is difficult to judge fit, some people give measurements but this is not that helpful, because some shoes have a wide welt, others a long toe box, and two different styles of shoes that fit well, may have very different measurements. Take your time, and good luck.

I'm afraid I don't know. These were my first pair of C&J and I didn't pay much attention to such things at the time.
