@@LiterallyAllNamesAreTaken Well, Not everyone can afford it and people are gonna do it regardless so... 🤷 Also you replying to every comment is useless they're here to do it themselves not listen to you 😂
@@Asia-zl8jb if you can’t afford it, you have much bigger problems. my piercings cost as little as $15 for a singular earlobe, $25 for both earlobes and up to $35 for cartilage/nose. piercings are a WANT, not a need. you can live without them. and quite often than not, a DIY piercing ends up costing you loads more on medical bills (and mental trauma) when you get infections or other complications occur. a lot of people also end up going to a professional anyway to get it fixed or done properly. and telling me my comments are useless is in itself useless when you remember that “influence” exists. 🤡 if kids are influenced by this video, kids can be influenced by my comments. it works both ways. ✌️if people are going to do it regardless then it’s better they know the risks instead of thinking that it’s completely safe just because there’s a wikihow video.
Please for the sake of hygiene do not do this. First and foremost a safety pin is not medical grade, stainless nor hollow. A piercing should be performed with a hollow needle where possible so you are cutting out a chunk of skin and not simply stretching it apart which will 1 hurt more and 2 take longer to heal. If you are stuck in a pinch yes it will work however the easier method is to follow all instructions except use a cannula needle instead. The actual needle can easily be removed giving a hollow plastic tube which you can then use to feed the new jewelry and not metal which most likely will react to the oils on your skin and the minerals in your blood. Rule of thumb: if you wouldn't let a doctor put it directly into your bloodstream... Don't put it through your own body. As for the cork or eraser I'd suggest just get two forks and put one either side of the desired lobe and use them to stabilise the ear over just giving it something to go into that isn't sterile, remember the pin will be going through your blood and if it's been inside something unsterile that's now entering your body now too. Also don't rush a decision like this. Take your time and make sure it's what you really want because a changed mind may well be permenant scars as a reminder later.
Not pain at all with the ice. And it was hard to get it inside but I didn’t feel anything. Don’t be scared for real even if it is hard to get it inside! Thanks! ❤ UPDATE : CLEAN YOUR EAR OFTEN TRUST ME. MY EAR IS BAD CAUSE I DIDNT KNOW IT. but i'm taking some medicine right now. So yeah be safe

I did it tonight, I used hydrogen peroxide instead, and so far it’s working (I’ll update later) mine hurt but only as if was pinching. its not your last option. piercings are a WANT not a NEED. if your parents said no to taking you to a professional, its best you accept that. most people who pierce themselves dont end up liking their piercing several years down the line. and for so many reasons. whilst if you watch youtubers who’s main content is piercings and they make videos helping people, or trying on jewellery, you’ll find none of them did piercings themselves.
So basically I did my helix like this but with a sewing needle. Now, I used a needle which was too big. I did not do it in a quick motion because I was struggling. I finally got it through waited a little bit, and took it out which was honestly the most painful part. I switched to an earring and that didn’t hurt at all. I think I should’ve moved quicker when I used an ice cube. This was yesterday. Now today I will be doing a second earlobe piercing on the same ear. I’ll use a smaller needle this time and directly do it after removing the ice cube. I’ll update ya’ll ✊
@@freydis2751 whether by yourself or a professional, don’t get more than 2 piercings. your body will thank you. the more you get, the slower each one is going to take to heal. I’m sure you don’t wanna be going on 4 months with sore ears when lobes can take as little as 8 weeks.
For all of yall after you have pierced your ears: Use povidone iodine solution to clean your ears after the first day. It is much better than using saline solution and quickly heals the piercing site without the swelling stage. Also do not play with the new piercing by twisting it for a week or two to avoid infection.
I was bored at 1am and piercing my second lobes. At first I tryed with a saftey pin but when I took it out it closed up as the needle is small. So I decide to just use my earings. WOW. and you think piercing yourself is gonna go well when you’re out here questioning if you should even be hygienic 🤣🤣 you want advice? use the highest concentration alcohol you can find, if it burns you’re doing it right. also make sure to twist them so the earring doesn’t get stuck 🤡
Nope- and sometimes people have their own way. And earings are like 50 bucks to get them done, to much. I would recommend finding a trusted brand of ear cleaner, for example claires. Order it before hand then clean it every day and night, you can switch the earings out in 4-6 weeks. It should not burn, i wouldnt use rubbing alcohol. Hope this helped 😊
@@idkwhattoputhere832u the only good piece of advice in all of that is to not use alcohol 💀💀💀💀💀💀 first you say not to clean, then you claim claires is a trusted piercing source but then you do say to clean it?? but with claires so ? then you claim you can change 4-6 weeks when actually it’s recommended 6 weeks minimum.

Just did it now with my left side that are closed. Honestly it took around an hour since my safety pins are quite dull so I just use syringe needle (it's still in the package so it's sterile- but just in case I'd soak the needle in rubbing alcohol). After I wait for 20 minute-ish then I change with my safety pins. And you know what? safety pins as earrings quite dope so i'll wait for my left sides quite healed then change to actual earrings. Is it hurt? For me as someone has low pain tolerance- it just meh, it's like i used earrings before. Is it messy? First with needle not at all, but when i'm about to change with pins thats when messy happens (with bl00d things yada yada, it ain't hurt at all)) so shout out for the ice numbing and some rubbing alcohol- it works like a charm. I'll update you guys if somethings happen in the future- i hope for fast recovery with everyone who also try this at home!!! (Update will be in comment if you want to see!)
Update day 2!! 1. Things have slowly healing right now, my left ear is still doesn't hurt, no redness, no swollen and no pus!! 2. Also reminder that from day 2 and on- *ALWAYS* clean your new piercings (even better- all pierces hole from old and new) with *saline solutions or soap-and-water* 'cause hydrogen peroxide/alcohol are too harsh for the wound and it'll prolong your healing!! 3. IF you want to use alcohol- use it only on your earrings by soaking it for few minutes- then patting it dry before you can use it again. 4. Also do not move your earrings around if the wound still new! So for the cleaning part you use saline solution 2-3 times a day!! I'll update again in few weeks for now!!
@@raevenbobadilla3503 As it for me, I start cleanse my earring a day after I've pierced it without change (still use my safety pins at that time) for 5 days with saline solution first just to make sure it is safe. After the hole isn't too stings to remove anymore then i change to sterile earring and clean it the day after. All that time i clean my earring i do not remove it so they can heal. If your wound still fresh and hurt while putting it back- I suggest that you use soft towel with ice around your new wound area so they become numb again for 5-10 minutes, but this time when you putting it again you do it gently (with earrings or safety pins) so the pierce does not irritate the wound. I hope this is help, and sorry you've gone through there, that must be hurt 😭

If we don't use alcohol
I'm gonna attemot this soon, But how should onr brace themselves before doing this? And what's the pain scale fir this?
I'm going to do it after my exams, I'll let you know when I've done it, it will save me some money thank you for the tuto
Thanks! ❤
UPDATE : CLEAN YOUR EAR OFTEN TRUST ME. MY EAR IS BAD CAUSE I DIDNT KNOW IT. but i'm taking some medicine right now. So yeah be safe
I'm struggling how to put my jewelry in to my new pierce ear, I can't find the hole in the back of my ear, what do I do?
Anyone else just take a random needle they found in their house, sit in front of the mirror, and slowly push it in my ear like I did when I was 12? Ironically the piercing that I got professionally done is closed now and my piercing is still useable.
did you sterilize it?
I just did it and it didn’t hurt at all!! Would def recommend just be safe
I did it and it didn't hurt at all thanks for the tip❤️
I did it tonight, I used hydrogen peroxide instead, and so far it’s working (I’ll update later) mine hurt but only as if was pinching. Btw the video says it goes in, in one quick action but mine didn’t, it took a couple tries between sticking the needle in and ice-ing it (cause I’m a wimp and you are supposed to insert right after taking the ice off and I waiting a minute, so my fault) but so far so good!! Cute
About to do it, did you put the needle in boiling water or just use hydrogen peroxide? I’m trying to not wake my parents up😭
@@Dew_dropp both !!
@@Dew_dropp btw It’s been 13 days since I did it and it’s not infected yet ^^

Yes that is better because it pierces better also it’s easier to put the earring in that way
Thanks I did it with no pain ❤️
This is my last option but they make it look so easy
its not your last option. piercings are a WANT not a NEED. if your parents said no to taking you to a professional, its best you accept that. most people who pierce themselves dont end up liking their piercing several years down the line. and for so many reasons. whilst if you watch youtubers who’s main content is piercings and they make videos helping people, or trying on jewellery, you’ll find none of them did piercings themselves.
@@LiterallyAllNamesAreTakenomg bro why are you this bothered abt random strangers
it works well actually.. i was shaking alot at first haha but it really works thanks!
I did it halfway but I forgot to numb it and it still didn’t even hurt that bad it just stung a little bit
I’m gonna do this >:))

I used this method to pierce my nose. There was no pain but there surely was fear 😅 but i did it anyways🎉.

Time to do the entire ear lope lololol
don’t recommend it. its much better to go to a professional. I can almost guarantee you’re gonna find issues later on. piercings shouldn’t be a DIY.
Also do not play with the new piercing by twisting it for a week or two to avoid infection.
so uhm i pierced my ears one side is a little lower then the other but so far so good :) no pain at all after i put ice on my ear for 5 minutes

bro i'm scared
I was bored at 1am and piercing my second lobes. At first I tryed with a saftey pin but when I took it out it closed up as the needle is small. So I decide to just use my earings. I pierced both ears in less that 10 minutes (as you have to clean after each step) with no ice or any type of numbing and my ears didn't bleed all and had no pain. It's now the day after and there is no sign of infection or swelling :)

Hope this helped 😊

so i did pierce my both ears and now only im seeing this vid after piercing and i did with a embroidery needle and just used sanitizer on the needle. A little bit of blood only came and this is my first day idk i will get infection an am pretty scared rn of getting an infection .

@@nadiahana9238on what day should I remove and clean my earring? I'm scared the wound is still fresh and I'll have a hard time putting it back
@@raevenbobadilla3503 As it for me, I start cleanse my earring a day after I've pierced it without change (still use my safety pins at that time) for 5 days with saline solution first just to make sure it is safe.
