Bryan Betts Bryan Betts I agree with you completely! In Sweet as Whole, Sara makes insulting people so nice and sweet and I also love that song because it depicts her personality. She can be sweet when she needs to but she can also speak up and call people ass wholes and bitches if necessary.
I heard her play live in Vegas many years ago. She had a mouth of a truck driver. It was hilarious. Taste of Las Vegas. There were parents getting outraged, and she was like, “deal it with.” 🤣
+William Phelps "Sure she's a gold digger . . . . I just thought you should know" Hmm. . . It seems like there's some easy rhyme here, but I just can't think what it might be. . . :-) Maybe Sara felt she just couldn't afford to cover that in her swear jar!
I have been told that I am too old to listen to her music. WHAT!? She is fantastic. Moving to New York was great for her. She is now writing the score for a Broadway musical. She will be around when others have burned out. Love that voice......
Trust me, I'm a fifteen year old fangirl, and my dads in his late fifties. He's in a band and they LOVE playing her music. The girl is a legend- and if I can listen and enjoy Carole King, and anybody can love Sara. Take care :P
Tony Genco Never ever let anyone tell you that you’re too old to listen to good artists who happen to be much younger than you. You are NEVER too old for good music!
That's not how music works. Fill your boots my friend. I listen to whatever I find interesting. One month ago I had not heard of Sara but now she is on the top of my playlist. She sings every kind of music you can imagine. What a talented young (compared to me) woman. Like my dad used to say..If I were six months younger....
I love how she is singing with so much passion, and she looks like she's truly having fun. She's not swearing to get a rise out of people or to be cool, she's doing it too express herself and to have fun. This was honestly so much better than I thought it would be
I love Sara Bareilles because she definitely has fun doing what she does. She is as classy as they come. She makes music from her heart and not for the dough. A lot of pop artists these days just do it for the dough which is very sad and unfortunate. There's where Sara comes in and she does not forget where she comes from either.
Sara is one of the few people that can sing in music videos, do songs live, whatever, and they sound pretty much the same. It's not like their voice is all fake, her's is pure talent and it's amazing. I actually enjoy her live performances.
What I love the most about this is the lack of cell phones in the audience!! THAT is how amazing music like Sara bareilles music should be enjoyed. No distractions just being totally in it!
I don't think that musicians of this incredible caliber come around very often. This Gal is the the best solo artist I have ever encountered. Bah...none. Understated, Underated, but arguably the greatest solo artist of our time. Long live Sara B. x
What? Most artists are in it for the passion, not the money. That's not even remotely rare. It's rarer to find the opposite because it's so hard to even remotely make a living making art.
MsB seems like she'd be hella fun to hang out with. humor, confidence, swears like a sailor, has a penchant for whiskey, a smile that glows for eons. Bet she'd be a blast at karaoke, hehe
She is really the best .. there's nothing better than all the talent she has... excelent singer, songwriter, pianist and even the arrangement are something else... She's not out of key and she gives her fans love and quality...
I've been listening to this song for 11 years, literally since the day it was released, and someday never came. I'll never be over him, I've finally accepted it.
Never say never. Either way. Life is constantly changing... you just have to concentrate a bit, and make sure that the changes are for the better. Stay positive that you enjoy some aspects of your life and that better days and things are ahead.
"Guys, this is serious"...EPIC moment...I would like to thank the AMAs for introducing Sarah Bareilles to me, shes an inspiration. I started speaking out when I heard Brave and got top marks for a speech I did, quoting a line from Brave. "be brave and let the words fall out"
her rendition of "Fuck you" is terrific but there will never be a better "fuck you" song that King of Anything. and that's what I appreciates about her
I love her so much!!! Been dancing to this through the house all week and when my family returns from their holidays today they´ll discover quickly that I´m sooooo obsessed with Sara!!!
Ok as a guy I love Sara for her tenacity and just down right awesomeness!!! Damn why can't I find someone like her coz she seems like that person who is straight up with you and a ton of fun to be around. I wouldn't even hesitate high fiving her. So glad I found her music coz she is an amazing artist but an even better performer of it. Can't wait to see her live.
totally! I don't use that word any more, but it SO fits some circumstances. and ex-spouses, who leave a good marriage to chase after other people who are married.
I wish I had remembered this song (well the Gonna Get Over You one) when my ex-fiancé and I broke up. This kind of cheery in-your-face kind of thing that just.. I don't know, helps. Great song.
first i hear her do this, wow, love it!! wasn't sure bout the cursing at first, but it's how we all feel when we've been screwed over in that kind of a way, love love love it!
I've been to so many concerts I completely lost count. Mostly skatepunk gigs, and Phish tours, but everything in between as well; Tool, James Taylor, Band of Horses, you get the point. All this to say, Sarah's Oct. 2019 show in Salt Lake City was hands down the best concert I've ever seen. It was breathtakingly perfect. She had different musicians with her who carried a captivatingl elegance. Still the same Sarah, but slightly dialed back. ANYHOW, at one point I straight-up burst into tears. Truly outta nowhere. I wasn't embarrassed or trying to fight them or anything. I'd never been moved to tears like that and I loved every second of it. Without sounding hyperbolic and absurd, it changed something in me. That sudden release of pure, exquisite, joy was . . . I can't explain it properly. Here we go, I'd call it brief aural nirvana. Transcendent. And I was sober! I left that arena on cloud 9. Anyhow, that's my Sarah story. Thank you for your time. Peace.
RUclips, you crack me up. It's hilarious watching all these haters spend half their day wasting their life away talking about something they don't even enjoy. Go comment on a video of an artist you actually enjoy. Your life will be better, I promise
mysticsmb The problem is, I checked a couple other videos and her low voice on those is not quite that...yeah, sexy. She probably had a cold that day? Or I check out the wrong videos.
i couldnt agree more, I take it even further and say best ever. Nobody comes close when you consider: voice, lyrics, writes her own songs, playing multiple instruments, better live than studio, and already has 30 great live songs out there all as amazing as the next and shes only done 3 albums and an EP
You're simply the best singer out there Sara. I freakin love you to death. The way you say the f word is breathtakingly awesome! I'm never gonna get over you!
Her rendition of Fuck you is what I've been needing in my life.
Chyna Deveroux [:
(Late I know :-) ) - But i agree 100% - just what i needed :-)
She manages to swear like a sailor and still come off classy as hell. Sweet as whole for example
Bryan Betts A man of taste, I see! I love that song haha
Bryan Betts absolutely not!
Bryan Betts Bryan Betts I agree with you completely! In Sweet as Whole, Sara makes insulting people so nice and sweet and I also love that song because it depicts her personality. She can be sweet when she needs to but she can also speak up and call people ass wholes and bitches if necessary.
Sweet as Whole is a complete BANGER. I love that song!!!
If you think that sounds like class you live on another planet than the rest of us. Sorry but that's my opinion for sure. Peace to you anyhow.
I heard her play live in Vegas many years ago. She had a mouth of a truck driver. It was hilarious. Taste of Las Vegas. There were parents getting outraged, and she was like, “deal it with.” 🤣
She's so crushworthy.
love her for not censoring
Well she censored one part
+William Phelps
"Sure she's a gold digger . . . . I just thought you should know" Hmm. .
. It seems like there's some easy rhyme here, but I just can't think
what it might be. . . :-)
Maybe Sara felt she just couldn't afford to cover that in her swear jar!
+William Phelps I'll be honest, your comment made me fall backwards laughing. Thank you :)
+William Phelps after what happened to Justin I don't blame her
+Ben Holmberg its hard to find a word to rhyme with digger hmm
this is probably the best thing you can listen to after a break-up
Mike Cardoso hahaha yes!!!
And before and during a breakup..
Yes.i would include this in my break up playlist songs
Yeahhh !!
Oh yes
I have been told that I am too old to listen to her music. WHAT!? She is fantastic. Moving to New York was great for her. She is now writing the score for a Broadway musical. She will be around when others have burned out. Love that voice......
noone will ever be too old to listen to her music. she is awesome!
Trust me, I'm a fifteen year old fangirl, and my dads in his late fifties. He's in a band and they LOVE playing her music.
The girl is a legend- and if I can listen and enjoy Carole King, and anybody can love Sara. Take care :P
And G_D help me, I love her F*K you video on You Tube. Thank goodness, along with all her talent she has a great sense of humor.
Tony Genco Never ever let anyone tell you that you’re too old to listen to good artists who happen to be much younger than you. You are NEVER too old for good music!

She was, and still is gorgeous, and so genuinely talented
This song may be 13 years old ..But still relevant and I love it. And Sara B.. such an awesome singer.
That moment when her voice gets kinda husky when she cusses.
it's cute. :>
Islander Catcat Rea nice n heartfelt
Yes. The rasp is brilliant
I love how she is singing with so much passion, and she looks like she's truly having fun. She's not swearing to get a rise out of people or to be cool, she's doing it too express herself and to have fun. This was honestly so much better than I thought it would be
Fuck you is a CeeLo green song... and Gonna Get Over You is from her album... the combo is quite cool.
I love Sara Bareilles because she definitely has fun doing what she does. She is as classy as they come. She makes music from her heart and not for the dough. A lot of pop artists these days just do it for the dough which is very sad and unfortunate. There's where Sara comes in and she does not forget where she comes from either.

I actually enjoy her live performances.

Sammie Wood I know. I'm awkwardly turned on by it all.
Sam Madera 7)
yeah.. I just commented something of the like.. it's like kitten dies or an fairy loses it's wings. LOL
LOVE her still tho.
13 years later this still makes my day!
What I love the most about this is the lack of cell phones in the audience!! THAT is how amazing music like Sara bareilles music should be enjoyed. No distractions just being totally in it!
I count at least a dozen at the 0:46 mark...
Okay
Sings from her heart, nothing else matters. She has a great voice.
I don't think that musicians of this incredible caliber come around very often.
This Gal is the the best solo artist I have ever encountered. Bah...none.
Understated, Underated, but arguably the greatest solo artist of our time.
Long live Sara B. x
Come over here Sara!!! Hugs from the PHILIPPINES!!! :)
She hits those f-bombs with fully committed, no restraint enunciation. Love it.
She has it all. A perfect woman.
What a smile-melts my heart. Absolutely the best female vocalist. Voice of an angel
THAT TRANSITION THO! She's the GOAT!
this is one of those covers that actually sound as amazing as the original. I love how these 2 songs sound so happy and they are about ugly break ups.
Great emotion in this performance. Sara is such an amazing artist, as usual! STELLAR!
Her voice is magic ♥
You rarely find an artist who sings for passion not for money. This kind of song is way better than party/hard beats songs
What? Most artists are in it for the passion, not the money. That's not even remotely rare. It's rarer to find the opposite because it's so hard to even remotely make a living making art.
Paper Bag
MsB seems like she'd be hella fun to hang out with.
humor, confidence, swears like a sailor, has a penchant for whiskey, a smile that glows for eons. Bet she'd be a blast at karaoke, hehe
You rock sara
She is really the best .. there's nothing better than all the talent she has... excelent singer, songwriter, pianist and even the arrangement are something else... She's not out of key and she gives her fans love and quality...
I love that you can see the audience enjoying and living in the moment vs videoing the whole experience
Is it just me or is Sara just oozing sexiness all over the place in this performance?
Thankfully she oozes it all over me from time to time. Tastes like honey too.
No, it's just you trying to look under her dress that's giving you that feeling.
You ever notice you can only ooze two things? Sexuality and pus. Man, I tell ya.
I really hope she doesn’t read these comments
Shes full of it. Idk how.
I've been listening to this song for 11 years, literally since the day it was released, and someday never came. I'll never be over him, I've finally accepted it.
Same here friend
Same here friend
Never say never. Either way. Life is constantly changing... you just have to concentrate a bit, and make sure that the changes are for the better. Stay positive that you enjoy some aspects of your life and that better days and things are ahead.
Make her an international treasure already.
I have always loved Sara! This is awesome
I love Sara Bareilles, i love the way she sings i love everything of her, she's just perfect
I love love love your voice and how much you love to swear when performing live.
"Guys, this is serious"...EPIC moment...I would like to thank the AMAs for introducing Sarah Bareilles to me, shes an inspiration. I started speaking out when I heard Brave and got top marks for a speech I did, quoting a line from Brave. "be brave and let the words fall out"
Maybe you'll spell her name right the next time you get all EPIC.
her rendition of "Fuck you" is terrific but there will never be a better "fuck you" song that King of Anything.
and that's what I appreciates about her
I love her so much!!! Been dancing to this through the house all week and when my family returns from their holidays today they´ll discover quickly that I´m sooooo obsessed with Sara!!!
i am crushing over this woman all over again since i was a wee boy
I will never get tired of this performance
Ever.
What a voice.
The original version of the song was Fuck you, it was changed to "Forget" you so that it could be brought out mainstream and make more sales.
O wise one....Tell me more of the forbidden truths
The original also had the N word in it.
What a talent!!!

Sara is so amazingly good! What a voice!

I finally can hear the lyrics.
"You guyyss.. This is serious."
She's just so adorable!
Sara - ALWAYS my "go to tonic" - thank you
Shes so cute!
Wrong. She's not "cute". She's smoking hot is what she is.
So talented Sara ! Great live !
LOVE HER. LOVE HER. AGGGHHHH.
I love this!!! Everything that comes out of her mouth is pure joy, gold and makes one feel like standing up and dancing!!
9 years later and I’m still here listening to this ❤️

WOW ! Amazing ... one of the best voices. Great performance "Gonna Get Over You" the band is incredibly tight. Great groove.
RUclips, you crack me up. It's hilarious watching all these haters spend half their day wasting their life away talking about something they don't even enjoy. Go comment on a video of an artist you actually enjoy. Your life will be better, I promise
Yeah....I’m totally in love with this woman.
This cover is incredible! I love the combined songs.
One of the most underrated artists... god I'm in love with this women
just started listening to her music and LOVE it more each time i hear it!
Awesome, you go girl
loveeee how laid back she is
One artist for whom I have gone so addicted to after listening to just one track once. Simply love it.
I have noticed that there is what appears to be an Kaleidoscope Heart on the drums! i love Sara much and lots and lots!!
i bet she swear in real life with harmony
zara amelia I think that she uses profanity in her daily talking, but more casually instead of regularly.
Sara admits she has the mouth of a trucker. So yes she swears a whole damn lot. She and Anna Kendrick have something in common.
Love her!
Sara your version of this cover rocks.
I love this woman...
Needed this right now Sara. Thank you. :) beautifully done
I love her
Damn, I am loving her low voice. She's good with the rest, too. Nothing you would immediately expect if all you heard was Brave.
She's a true alto, and yes, her lower range is awesome--and sexy as hell!
mysticsmb The problem is, I checked a couple other videos and her low voice on those is not quite that...yeah, sexy. She probably had a cold that day? Or I check out the wrong videos.
In that case I recommend you listen to her cover of sittin on the dock of the bay!
Ana Moura I have, before I saw this. I didn't like her version. It's one of my favorite songs of all-time, so I might be a bit over-protective.
i love her voice
Craziest break up song, thank you beautiful!
i couldnt agree more, I take it even further and say best ever. Nobody comes close when you consider: voice, lyrics, writes her own songs, playing multiple instruments, better live than studio, and already has 30 great live songs out there all as amazing as the next and shes only done 3 albums and an EP
Didn't know if she was gonna say it...yep....she just went for it LOL.
I luv sara and her voice
You're simply the best singer out there Sara. I freakin love you to death. The way you say the f word is breathtakingly awesome! I'm never gonna get over you!
she is amazing. So laid back and everything just comes naturally
QUEEN
Ok after 7 years am here loving this woman so much.
Who (else) sings this ridiculously well live?
Mika (Michael Holbrook Penniman, Jr)
Again, wow! I feel like once Sara Bareilles covers a song, the original artist needs to start forwarding royalties to her!
I just discovered my new favorite artist.
She. Is. Incredible.
So talented.
