The scene I timestamped uses ellipses, which are pauses between her lines, and apostrophes, which are part of the words she’s saying. As opposed to, say… using ellipses and commas mid-sentence; they also didn’t make her pompous with some semicolon nonsense.

Holy smokes I just realized that from your comment. Maybe I would’ve thought of it sooner if those “mobile” (arcade) games had wheels on the bottom, but it makes sense because she has them pop up 2-3 times throughout the chapter from out of nowhere.

Jokes aside, when Noelle asks Queen why she specifically wants her to be her peon and believes it because she is weak, and Queen counteracts this, it really shows that Queen isn't a villain at all, really.
She's seen Noelle's search history. She knows of all the tragedy in her life, and how much she's had to put up with. And how well she's put up with it as well - her entire family is either missing, dying, or overbearing, and she still manages to put up with Berdly of all people.
Queen is more of a mother figure than Noelle's mother, or at least tries to be, as much as a computer can. Queen is misguided due to her being a computer and liable to falicy, but she's also very... human, despite this. As flawed a human as Berdly or Susie or Kris or even Noelle, but still capable of feeling just like we see everyone express in some way or another.

I think my favorite part about Queen is that, yes, as everyone notes, she absolutely has shitposting/internet meme energy and it's _fantastic_
But it would have been easy, _so_ easy, to get there by basically having her quote every latest IRL meme. It's not like there'd be a shortage of material either! The audience would understand exactly what Toby would have been going for!
In that moment, at least.
Because it's the nature of memes to proliferate like mad, but it's also the nature of memes to have a very short lifespan. Taking that route would have been felt cheap, and made what makes her character great short-lived
But Toby manages to encapsulate the fun and the things we like about all those memes without actually using a _single one_ in Queen's dialogue
Which is sooo much harder to do but _absolutely_ well worth the effort

Then the "whoops that was my extra dangerous glass" pretty sure Toby just picked out some memes and bone hurting juice memes and just made that Queen's personality. It kills me, Toby did a great job.
I like to imagine that Queen was actually completely level headed and calm when she was first brought into existence but constant exposure to millions and millions of memes warped her into a personification of the moden-day internet's sense of humor.

In my opinion, it's not only because the chapter is computer-themed, but also because the writing got better. You never get bored, you have fun even when you're just reading dialogue and sometimes the game takes a break and lets the wacky characters be honest. In comparison, Undertale's humor is mostly laughing at characters.

She wants to make Lightners happy. That's her entire real goal. Esp Noelle. She is misguided in her methods and has the optics of a villain but is fundamentally just a benevolent antagonist. She just also finds him really annoying... cuz he is. If not for Noelle, she'd probably give him the boot though.

Given what you'd assume her age is, the fact that she only plays mobile games is actually quite realistic as those tend to have the largest demographics being middle-aged women. Well, it depends ON the mobile game of course, but the most realistic situation is that she's referring to those match-three games and such, since noone would really call COD or Minecraft a mobile game, despite that they have mobile versions.
The most interesting part is she is quite aware of this stereotype if this is the case.

I think all the final bosses will be chess pieces. The King stays in his heavily guarded castle, a reference to the King piece only being able to move 1 per turn. Queen shows up just about everywhere, the Queen piece being able to move in any direction. The Knight might not follow this pattern at all, but the buildings that the Dark Fountains are in could be arranged in a similar way to how to Knight moves in chess. That depends more on later chapters, though. The Pawn could be Kris, who will probably end up fighting us in a later chapter, probably 6 or 7. And that leaves out one chapter, there being six chess pieces. So, we'll see.

When I fought against her in the first arcade game, I got frustrated at losing to her a couple of times. However, well i fought her again as robots I still lost twice as much as the first round, but I didn't feel annoyed at the lost. Rather, I felt it was actually enjoyable and interesting to pay attention to the her personality.
Lol i got past the first arcade game by mashing the controls.
Not so easy the second time so I actually died like 3 times. Which is almost as many attempts as it took for me to beat Spamton Neo.
I beat the first arcade game in one try. Final boss was VERY difficult died like 5 times

One REALLY big problem for the Queen.
Well, technically, Ralsei probably isnt a Lightner, but at this point its clear hes no ordinary darkner either. He doesnt turn into a statue outside his own world, and has great knowledge of the light world. Plus, his fountain is appearently made of "pure" darkness, and probably wasnt created by the Knight, and hes the only native to his dark world
@@MB-qg4zw well, the facts you gave could kinda explain why he doesn't turn into statue on the other dark worlds, maybe because the other fountains aren't pure darkness they are incomplete, that probably being the reason because every darkner can live on his dark world and why he can live on every dark world
@@pigaboyAKAthecoolestguyonearth there is also the unused manual in the files that mentions that Ralsei was born from hia castle's fountain. Definitely to take with a grain of salt cause unused, but interesting to think about
The computer room has a room where it's specifically said that a person could fit, Ralsei might actually be a lightneer due to his knowledge of the school layout, that and the fact that Kris room in the Dark world is a perfect reproduction of his regular room
