As said in the video what happened is that due the surgery Sarah was disconnected from her emotions. However, I think that the reason her emotions didn't return after she left the Hospital was that her subconscious continued to block her emotions to avoid the pain caused by the neglect and abuse from her parents, Megan, and Alex. Even if her family had been aware that Sarah had went to the Hospital I doubt they would have cared. Due to her previous experiences Sarah knew that the neglect and abuse would continue. Her lack of emotions was there to protect her and allowed her to do things that her old self would not have been able to do. It was only after the death of those who had hurt Sarah that Sarah's emotions started to return.
This was a great story! Didn't expect the ending of her "family" and ex-boyfriend! I kinda thought that they may try to kill her (I have read novels with similar plot), but not the fact that the mother tries to redeem itself and "cut the evil from the roots". I was kinda disapointed that there wasn't a new lover for our MC (what make me worry that she may forgive the ex and go back to him; thank god that didn't happen).
@@emeralh9415 I think some of her emotions will eventually return, as they started to at the end of the story. However, I suspect that it is going to be a long process and only where it is safe. She will only be able to open her heart to someone that she feels it is safe to do so.
Wow, this is a dark story but still it’s sad. How could a father and a mother treat their biological daughter like that and treating her half sister better I know no child should go through that type of neglect but still. It’s heartbreakingto tears .
It seems like in so many stories like this you have the golden child (the favored child) and the lead child (the one who is considered worthless and barely tolerated by the family). To the parents, the golden child is the only child that is worth anything, and the only one worthy of love, support, and attention. The lead child is basically just a thing to them, not worthy of any concern, and is basically a tool who they think will always comply with their demands. I think that if Sarah had died due to the surgery the only concern they would have (if any) is how it would reflect on them, not about their dead daughter...just about themselves. To me, it seems like Sarah's medical issue turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It allowed her see how things really are and to be able to deal with it. It allowed her to see that her aunt was the one person in the Family who truly cares for her and it allowed Sarah to find her true mother.

In Asia there is that spectre of the wastefulness of spending good money after bad. It's reasonable in China, for example, to spend more attention on the successful daughter and not the autistic or mentally damaged daughter. I've seen this even in the USA with one family that emigrated to the USA from China. The older son was mentally ill, so the younger brother ended up with the attention and eventually became the sole Heir as various elders died off. In the end, the older son was alone and where he is now, I don't know, but maybe he's homeless. I think the difference is that Vulcans are trained from an early age to repress their emotions. It is something that they maintain via strong mental discipline. They did this because their emotions are so strong and hard to control that it almost led to destruction of their planet. With Sarah, her emotions became unavailable due to her injury, and I think that continued due to her subconscious mind protecting her. She doesn't have to expend effort to suppress her emotions, they are just not there. It was only when her Abusers were gone that she started to feel emotions again.
This could be a good episode of "Family Guy." Meg gets injured (not a matter of if but when), and loses her emotions. When she comes to she deals effectively with her family. Not for revenge but finally she no longer will take the way she has been treated.
At least her mother tried to redeem herself at the end I think she should at least leave flowers for her mother maybe Alix? I’m not sure but definitely not her sister and father.
Due to the loss of her emotions, I think it is possible that Sarah does not have the interest to do even that small gesture for anyone in her former family and Alex.
as a person, you spend a lotta time in the hospital as a child. I can imagine even ass in adult how devastating it can be when you have to go to the hospital for any reason and your own flesh and blood just doesn’t care. The last time I had to go to the hospital that lasted longer than yesterday or last my father delayed moving out of state and my mother who lived out of state, both made certain that they would be there and to make it even more clear how much they cared my dad hates the hospital, but if a family member, especially his sons, me and my brother are sick, he’s willing to tough it out. That family is a sad, pathetic excuse for a family. They probably think they’re so great for adopting an orphan girl, but seem to have forgotten the girl they had at home if this story is true and I really hope it isn’t as a person who has had brain surgery. I may not remember when it’s like as I was an infant but still has surgery like that. It’s one thing family should be a part of or at least be there from when you wake up.

Because they thought Sarah wasn't worth having the lessons and having access to a piano. Sarah wasn't important to her parents, Megan was and any money spent of Sarah means that there would be less for Megan...which was not acceptable to her parents.
Megan is the adopted daughter an op adopted-sister and Alex was her fiancé who she started the company with one of those. I'm sleeping with your sister story 😅
It could be either, and this type of story seems appropriate for both manga and anime. There's a anime named "The Dreaming Boy Becomes A Realist." In it, for 2 years a young man relentlessly pursues a young woman to date him despite her repeated rejections. Then, due to an event involving a shock to his head, his emotions towards her are instantly gone. He does still care about her but only as a friend, but his love for her is completely gone...which is a shock to everyone in School.

Due to the loss of her emotions, I think it is possible that Sarah does not have the interest to do even that small gesture for anyone in her former family and Alex.
Parents who do this to their children does not deserve to be called parents and being the way they were are the most cruel thing a parent can ever do.
PLEASE, PLEASE, TELL ME THIS ISN'T REAL. PLEASE... WHAT KIND OF PARENT DOES THIS, ALL TO COVER HIS AFFAIR?
Don't worry it's not but would make a good movie
@@jman9936 it sure as hell would
Some of it was real I guarantee you some people are that crazy/evil
@@brandondyche5940 To me, even if it is a fictional story it is believable.
as a person, you spend a lotta time in the hospital as a child.
Excellent
Its true every child deserves a parent but not every parent deserves a child
truer words have never been said
Losing emotions is a side effect of the brain tumor. I had a great aunt that went through the same thing.
I wish i had knowen you i would have cared. Every one desirves to be loved nkt used like you were
Awesome. 💙
What a terrible parents and foster sister! What a wonderful aunt!
Love it 🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
And suddenly, there was a nephew.
damn the dad started it all and planed it from the start
The family should be able to help out with the real daughter
Megans parents isnt her father dead. Inconsistencies in this story like straight up❤❤❤
The adopted sister faked the depression
Time for OP to learn Ultra Instinct
Did Sophie change her name to Megan, or are there two sisters? Confusing...
How about Ethan to Alex?
I thought the sister had a dance studio so she was a dancer. Keep referring to athletics, so does she do sports now?
I thought that an athlete's encome be generous. How coud the eviln sister be so poor
She became the families only daughter (OP doesn't really exist as a daughter for them)
I'm at 3:22 in the video by the time of writing this comment who's Megan? The bedridden's sister? Wasn't her name Sophie? And who's Alex? The bedridden's boyfriend? Wasn't his name Alex? The scripts are kind of wacky not properly explaining who is who. 🤔
sister i just got from hospital yes i do mind cheater get out hate both you all
how do i get this surgery? what disease do i have to contract?
Why get rid of the piano and lessons? It could have gone well with the sister learning dance
Because they thought Sarah wasn't worth having the lessons and having access to a piano. Sarah wasn't important to her parents, Megan was and any money spent of Sarah means that there would be less for Megan...which was not acceptable to her parents.
Who's Megan and Alex im confused
Megan is the adopted daughter an op adopted-sister and Alex was her fiancé who she started the company with one of those. I'm sleeping with your sister story 😅
@@pharaohdarien69 oh thanks you
@@pharaohdarien69 But there is also Sophie, the adopted sister, and Ethan, OP's ex fiancé who could visit Sarah in the hospital.
NOVA SIX THE GAS THAT HAD AMNESIA
damn this is dark
Wait! Is the sister’s name Sophie or Megan?!
Wow, writing a story that demonizes children who are already suffering a great loss. As if we don’t have enough of them.
The Mces life was way worse and longer than the sister.
And in the end, there was no hero.
Only the unfilial daughter survived.
The End.
What is this ? A book or anime?
It could be either, and this type of story seems appropriate for both manga and anime. There's a anime named "The Dreaming Boy Becomes A Realist." In it, for 2 years a young man relentlessly pursues a young woman to date him despite her repeated rejections. Then, due to an event involving a shock to his head, his emotions towards her are instantly gone. He does still care about her but only as a friend, but his love for her is completely gone...which is a shock to everyone in School.
Sarah should just go no contact with those trash people
Where is this place? 😊
that's me
Why did it change from Sopie the dancer and Ethan to Megan the athlete and Alex?
Sara i miss you
Is the boyfriend Ethan or Alex?
