This is soooooo helpful! I just started bartending about a year and a half ago and I’m mainly self taught. Starting working more shifts lately and my wrists have taken a BEATING. So glad to have come across this video. I realize now I’ve been pouring exactly how you said not to 😅 definitely gonna switch it up!
This is by far one of my favorite videos you've made. I had to learn this the hard way. I've been benhind the stick for many years, and I wish that someone had taught me this many years ago! Thanks
TBH All bartenders should watch this video. I worked at the service bar for a year or so, used the same grip since need to make drinks asap and I started feeling pain in my wrist but nobody could give me right advice apart from: "just go to gym more often" Really wish I figured out switching grips way earlier!
thanks for sharing these techniques vlad! Honestly Im 95% of the time pouring with the 3rd style you've shown, my fingers are pretty long so that grip and technique came natural with me :D Congrats on 50k subs! Keep up with the tips. tricks and quality videos
Hey! 3rd technique is really nice and wont ruin your wrist but it still better to change just once in a while and reverse grip recommended. And big big thanks Im blown away how fast I got to 50K. All thanks to you guys who watch vid from beginning to end and leave comments here 💪🤝🙏❤️
Great Video I just went to bartending school and they only teach one way to pour, I learned a lot there but your videos definitely are informative with different skills, subscribed for life keep up the good work much love from Florida ✌🏾🏝
Oh man! Thank you so much 🙏 Feedback like that makes me keep going to make more videos 🔥 I will do my best to help bartenders like you to get better. Stop by to say hi whenever you in MIA 🤝
legend i managed to do my wrist skateboarding and have had to mainly just pour by flipping the bottle with my middle and pointer fingers but it just doesnt offer as much control when the rush comes and things get slippery
Cool i am using all type of this but at 3:11 i am using this when the bottle is not foul so i will not have much weight ! Anyway great video again!! :)
There always will be pain in your arms if you work everyday...The locations of pain will be in different places depending on the way you hold the bottle
Is there a source to the claim that the "normal" grip we consider wrong, actually destroys your wrist? Am a believer and i feel the difference in my forearm, just looking for some research to back this.
My bar is pretty tall for me especially and I’m starting to have a lot of back pain from constantly leaning forward for 8 plus hours. It’s a very high volume service well and usually will be continuously making drinks for 3-4 hours with no stopping at all. Any recommendations for preventing back pain?

MGTOW Rogue yep will do!
@@VladSlickBartender That's awesome man, looking forward to it!
Did you ever make one of these videos? We can't free pour and just use jiggers, and the volume is extremely high... @@VladSlickBartender

Thanks for feedback!
Yes indeed, I forgot to mention that it should be either bottle not completely full or smaller bottles like bitters maybe.
Thank you very much , my man
This is very helpful, but I feel like it would feel weird to pour like this into a jigger. Any recommendations on how to make that more comfortable?
FireGlazer Yeah, this one is more like when you do free pour on top of the bar.. I will think of similar pours with Jigger ☺️
@@VladSlickBartender Any thoughts on this one?

Whats the name of the thing you need to put in the bottle so it wont pour a lot of alcohol?
Eduardo Santiago Pour Spout
Thank you very much
I just grab the bottle however i can
Why in the first pour i feel so unconfortable? I feel like i have to so much effort :(
Were do I get those fancy spouts
Nice
First!
thanks 💪👏👌❤️
lovely tips...
zamling lama 🙏🔥
Completely wrong. Wrap your finger around the pourer spout for control, and to be sure it doesn't pop out of the bottle.
Do you know how to pouring please show your skills?
