- I find kitchen sinks the most satisfying drains to clear and this one is no different. Thick grease causing the kitchen sink drain blockage. Nothing we can't sort out!
This blocked drain was recorded in Wembley, Western Australia.

Bruce, a question. Are those grease build ups because people just pour used cooking oil and bacon grease down the drain instead of a container? In our house, we always pour used oil, pan grease, chicken fat, beef fat, pork fat, and bacon grease into an empty coffee container, wipe the pan with a paper towel and out to the garbage can. The only fat or grease that get in the pipes is the minor amount on plates and pans that go through the dishwasher.
You know where I'd rather be, with Bruce playing in the pipes. 🙂😁😄 thanks for another great video Bruce.

oohh Bruce , we noticed you ran the the little Honda to the stops, and I've always wanted to say this you ran her " Flat out like a lizard drinking" !!! , Steven Spielberg would be jealous of the down drain camera shot, best vid ever.
As my Nan would have said Bruce "If it was any closer, it would have bit you" I miss seeing things that are right in front of me all the time :) Question Bruce. You said that the water was 5000psi. Have you ever had it shoot up the drain and into someone's home ? With my luck, I would send it too far and they'd have a geyser in their kitchen

Another beautiful day. Maybe get a small sieve to catch those grease chunks. Why is the inspection port so deep?, I would think access at ground level would be easier, and less chance of debris falling in.
Sewer lines need to fall towards the sewer main.
The anticipation for seeing a "greaseberg" is killing me. Finally there one is! And some more. There's another chunk.

Hi Bruce, what i don't understand is why people still dump their used grease in the kitchen drain? Is it laziness or they just don't care? Here in the Netherlands we have special delivery points where you can bring your used grease.

My father would be appalled by the grease in drains. In the 60's he was collecting grease with newspapers. We never got blocked drains. Our neighbours however...

It still seems odd that you have to dig up the garden to get access to the offending pipe.

That was a lovely video to watch, those chunks of grease are unbelievable 😮 A plumber did our kitchen drain using a spinning chain on the end of the wire, I thought he was going to ruin our drain. Nothing came out but the buckets of water went through like a dream. Do you like to work with the chains?
