Man, what a bummer! That must be so frustrating for you. Did you happen to find out where that pipe drains to? Is there another manhole somewhere maybe? Such a shame. Sorry you had to go through that. Glad you didn't get hurt though.
It was hard watching you cut that hose.. it’s like fishing and needing to cut your line after catching the bottom. Really appreciate your good natured humor throughout. Keep up the good work!
You're right of course, if that's the worst thing that happens to you it's not a bad life. Still, I hope you get the thing back! Will look forward to the dig up video. Cheers from Indiana, USA.

Great video Bruce. Do you also do the repairs? The drain obviously needs to be fixed, and if you fix it, you may just get your number 1 jetting head back!
I got my 1/2" Warthog head stuck in a broken clay pipe. Had to cut the hose and wait for the plumber I was working for to get permission to go after it. It was in an 8 inch clay pipe under a parking lot in front of the offices. Fortunately (or maybe unfortunately, depending on how you look at it) the line had to be replaced because it was the main sewer line for the entire facility so the company really didn't have a choice. Got the head and the 50 foot leader hose back but lost about 20 feet of main hose. Getting stuck sucks.
Ffs Bruce my stress levels just went inter bloody galactic mate 🤣 I can’t believe we lost our jet head bro🙁hope they sorted the problem. I’ll have to go watch you clearing a grease trap to calm down. Stay safe from Darlington, England 🏴
Bruce that's your profits down the drain, your going to have to keep in touch with the customer, see if he or she can be there when the council do the repair of the pipe and see if the jetter head is still there unless you get the job to do , been a really good video my friend
Bruce, I'm sorry that you lost the jetter head and had to cut the hose because of that broken pipe. However, to echo a previous comment, those parts can be replaced. I'm glad you were able to get the hose out and that didn't get slapped around by it as it was twirling around the snake. The sounds in part one were fantastic. If I heard that sound from that root cutter here in the woods, I might have thought someone was using a chain saw.
@lynx93TK sorry for the late reply! Yeah that was frustrating but so far that video has made me about $10 in RUclips revenue. Only another $500 to go🤣 I hope you're well mate!
Oh Bruce! You should have called Ollie or Gavin for help! They could maybe have approached a different way or had an idea how to get your jetter out. I'm sorry for your losses today.
Another great show looks like you're at old faithful and Yellowstone park Don't you just love a good Clogged drain But I don't think I wanna eat off this drain But there's no Where else I'd rather be but with you again and cleaning out another drain Love you work And your channel keep up the good work love from America
Wow Bruce! That was intense! I'm so sorry you lost your jetter head and had to cut your hose! Did you end up sending the camera down to see what the issue was? I'd be I terested in watching that too... maybe as a part 2? I'm not sure if you do drain repairs or because it's connecting to council, if it would be them doing it, but hopefully you get the job and can show that too!!!
Hopefully next week will be the dig up. I'll have the camera rolling :) I send the camera down although i was in too much of a mood to remember to record haha
At 1:16 in those roots around the inspection cover tell the whole story. They are pointing the way. Chockers full of roots in the drain. One week later Bruce comes back. Problems with a badly displaced line and the jetter get stuck. Oh no!!! Lost your jetter head! Worst thing for a drain cleaning expert like Bruce to have happened.😭 Money down the drain.
G'day Mate! Ah man that sucks you had to sacrifice your hose and a jetter head... On the bright side you KNOW something is wrong and you may get that bit back when the drain gets repaired... Not if...WHEN.. Cheers🍻
G'day Bruce! Remember jet heads can be replaced so can hoses! The important thing is you got the job done! Put your feet up and have a frothy or two in memory of the head and hose and on to the next job! Love the content!
you've got me watching Ollie and South Korea and who knows what next....btw, why don't they keep the capped pipes above ground where you can see them ?
Just a question. is there a reason you would not extend the riser to ground level, with possibly with a B.T.S witch cement surround? if its a common problem.
Lookin at your boots mate, wonder if plumbers should have something a bit more like kitchen shoes. They grip good on wet surfaces, they're also heat resistant when you're dealing with hot water on the floor but most importantly the tongue is on the outside so when you splash water on your feet it rolls off instead of into the boot
Oh man, Bruce that is a bummer. Whats a jetter head go for? Also, I was thinking of you last week when I was pressure washing the siding on the house. It was not too hot and not too cold out. All I could think of was "where you would you rather be mate?" while I was blasting mildew and moss off the house. Cheers brother, I'll be watching for the followup
@fixitfrank hahaha thanks for thinking of me brother! The replacement jetter head was worth $210 AUD. I guess it's a tax write-off so not so bad. I hope you're well mate!!
And the moral of the story is... Be careful what hole you put your hose into. I hate that you lost the nozzle and that much hose, Bruce. That kinda thing can turn a profit into a loss real damn quick. Thanks for sharing, my friend.
Hey there Bruce. I just recently got to Your channel and it is bloody fantastic. Actualy I realy like the way You talk about stuff. So keep up the great work. Shout out from Czech Republic. Btw. I was trying to google how the root cutter works. It sound like there is this vibration thing going on. But i didn´t find much info. Does it just wiggle from the backward nozle? Can You tell us more? All the best sir! Cheers!
Good Lord!! that was just as bad, cutting the hose, but then there was no way back. Are you insured against this kind of "accident"? if not, then it's crying out and starting again, you will certainly succeed, you are not a "quit" good luck with it and see you in the next video in which you bring this job to a good end!!
@butlerbob unfortunately it's not worth me making an insurance claim for this one. I ended up getting it repaired later on that day. Thanks for your support mate! :)
@@DrainCleaningAUSTRALIA Ha no, I would like to believe that, usually the premium is higher than the lost material and insurance companies will always ask difficult questions, but also a possible deductible and yes then such insurance does not pay at all!!
Hello from Alaska USA.. I love watching your videos and seeing the views around your area of Australia. I've never been to Australia but I would love to go some day. bummer you lost the jetter... it would be cool to have seen the cam close up of the spot the jetter got stuck/lost. we are sure that YOU saw the problem close up via the snake cam, and maybe saw there was no way u were going 2 get that nozzle back. the steel cutter might have been able to cut thru/up/chew up the pvc pipe and give u access to the nozzle to use a magnet like the drain addict has done to get things back. so sorry this job turned up bad and costly. those jetters are not cheap. maybe the property owner can get the nozzle back in future if they have to have that pipe dug up for full repair. maybe you could leave a steak in the ground above the lost nozzle asking that "..if dug up.. and u find my nozzle.. please call ....." any good plumber will do the right thing and call ya. keep up the good work.. we are enjoying watching your old vids.

Hi Bruce, Love your work. Have you tried fitting a T pipe onto the sewer (temporarily) to try to direct the spray back away from you?
You know you are always a lucky man when it's not your own Donny that is clogged.
That is the softest ground I've ever seen 😳😂
Do you torque the better head down with wrenches instead of hand tightened?
