Something of note for felix. Grappler felix SHREDS. With the extra 5 might from lone wolf and the 5 crest might and the great speed+great dex growth chances making him deal massive x4 hits. My only criticism of this video is that it talks about spell lists but doesn't include unique Combat Arts which are also unique to each character. Combat Arts are also a big factor determining which class path they should take. Dmitri gets Windsweep which is a free attack to ignore counterattacks or Vantage, it also ignores the boss exclusive skill "Counterattack". Felix gets Nimble Combo and Mystic Blow for gauntlets. Dedue gets One-Two Punch for 8 extra mt. Ashe is 1 of 2 units in the game with Deadeye which makes Bowknight range less necessary or more hilarious. I hope when Sylvain is discussed in the next video, serious mention should be given to Swift Strikes which lets Sylvain ignore speed and still double with any lance, letting him double 40AS swordmasters. Depending on Maddening Mode late game, it might be the only way he can double.
@@lucky_crit I agree. Some combat arts patch up negative stat levels like physical units getting magic based attacks. I'm going to be honest, I originally considered making Dimitri a Holy knight (before I realized the lords had personal classes) because I thought it fit his homeland.
Dedue and speed? Who the hell cares, when he's getting doubled for 0, or at most, 3 damage? This doesn't apply for magic units, but if you're putting Dedue near a mage's sights, the fault is on you.
JXZX1 - I have to agree, speed is pointless on Dedue. In hard mode, he takes 0 damage from all physical attacks if you tank him up properly. 0 times two is still 0. And giving him speed growth is pointless because even with it he still gets doubled by everything. Just make him a Warmaster and he becomes an impenetrable wall and unkillable god as a physical tank. That’s clearly the better option, rather than spec’ing him for speed.
n00bfish The only real argument I can see for wanting to buff Dedue’s speed is for the potential to double enemies. He already has an easy way to get quick riposte, and the amount of effort and luck required to get him doubling with speed stats is absurd. So, Dedue will never be an efficient unit for LTC runs. That was never what he was built for, anyhow.
I typically didn’t experiment with classes in my first few runs of Three Houses, but in this last run, I made Felix go: mercenary -> myrmidon -> Assassin -> mortal savant, and he worked very well with lethality. Combine the high crit chance he has with vantage, lethality, his high speed, and magic, and Felix will tear through pretty much anything
I went with the canon post timeskip class promotions, the ones with their timeskip outfits, because I'm lame. Anyway, this video was interesting. You clearly put a lot of work in on it. Great job dude.
Thank you for watching! Nothing wrong with that, man. In fact that's probably a cool way to go the first time around. I think I might do that for the most part!
Ashe is so easy to underestimate. Ashe's Deadeye skill allows him to snipe from ridiculous distances and he has a high Dex stat meaning landing those hits won't be much of a problem. The key point here, though, is his Crit Rate is also super high. Like...up there with Petra high. Give him a Killer Bow and the Crit Ring and he's just a monster out there xD Plus, with the utility of not needing to even remotely worry about keys, he's just amazing all around. And I was pretty excited to get him again ASAP when I did my third route. This time, though, I'm making sure to take him through the Wyvern classes first to make him even MORE of a monster xD
Ashe is easy to underestimate because he kinda sucks. Deadeye has massive range sure, but massive bow range comes with massive hit penalties, so his hit rates are going to be incredibly inconsistent. Comparing ashe to other archers like ignatz and shamir, ignatz gets rallies and break shot for early utility and his personal skill is actually useful, and shamir gets sniper bases by chapter 6 and can get hunter's volley before anyone else. Ashe just has nothing going for him
@@hellothere2570 Idk about you, but my Ashe was shooting with a 80-100 accuracy at max range against almost everything that didn't have particularly high natural evasion or hiding away in something that gave a +20/30 to evasion Whether you make him a Bow Knight to make his range hilariously large or make him a Wyvern Master to make him a Claude Jr. with better range and the utility of free locktouch, he'll serve his purpose well as long as you build him right. He's too versatile for me to NOT use. xD Don't get me wrong though, other archers are certainly good. And yeah, Shamir is definitely the "better" unit if you're out specifically for damage. And if you're in Golden Deer, you probably don't need another archer. But even then...flying lockpick without using up a valuable skill slot with the ability to support from long range? I'll take that any day.
You could argue that having it as a skill means the shield won't weigh him down, but in that case I'd still agree that it's not worth taking up the ability slot. If Felix really needs the extra speed in certain circumstances then you can give him a speed ring and have him equip it if the shield will weigh him down too much.
Honestly the way I see Dedue, he takes hits, leaves enemies at low HP for others to finish. If you REALLY want him to double, give him Quick Riposte. He's an amazing tank.
I actually made Dedue a Great Knight. It basically patched up his horrible movement from armor knight and gave him canto, which I’m finding out the more I play is an insane ability. I never wanted my boy to double. He had insane strength, defense, and hp. That’s all I ever needed. I gave him a Brave Axe to double or just used combat arts to push for extra damage against monsters if I needed it. I actually found him to be really good on a horse.
Thanks for the insight. It didn't look great on paper to me but perhaps you're right, I never actually tried it myself! I'm glad it worked out for you!
The problem is not actually if he's capable to double or not, but if he gets doubled by basically anything or not, especially if we're talking about heavy magic users. Dedue has one of the lowest overall growth rates of all characters in the game, so picking something that actually helps with that is super useful.
@@dhunter2ful Him being doubled almost never mattered because no melee unit he ever came across ever did more than about 4 damage a hit x2, and my man Dedue had 70+ HP. I always laughed whenever he gets hit x4 by gauntlet units and he would say "Weak!" every time. As for the magic problem, just don't put him in the range of any magic units then. Knights have always been allergic to magic in the franchise. If anything, the added movement helped him avoid being in magical unit range. Even if he ever took a magic hit, between Mercy, Flyan, and Marianne, I had so much healing that he could be patched up in a heartbeat. I even gave him a Lampos Shield to remove his potential Cav weakness.
@@dhunter2ful Still, even if you work your ass off to give him speed, he will get doubled by almost everything in the end. You're not supposed to send him against mages. Most of the maps, if not all of them have multiple areas where the ennemis can come from, and there's almost always an area with little to no caster anyway. Dedue as a Great Knight is Great cuz he has canto, decent mobility and can facetank the entire physical damages cast. As said above, just give him a Hero Axe, send him against the physical units and take care of the map with your other characters. Especially with the new difficulty mode where no matter what, he will get doubled anyway, better buff his def so even if they double him, they'll still do 0 to him.
i finished Blue Lions 1st and then Golden Deer. I stopped during my third playthrough with Edelgard because damn I just can't bring myself to be part of her plot. I'm almost on the edge of "giving a sh*t" on her route and start the game on the new harder difficulty with my beloved Dimitri, Ashe, Dedue, Felix and the rest of this perfect group. BLUE LIIONS UNITE! :D P.S.: Dimitri, Ashe and Dedue were BEASTS on my first playthrough...
Thanks for the guide Stevie. A very much needed video to min maxing units since Maddening difficulty is out and EXP gains are harsh so every level up counts.
Felix: can I lower the enemy's hp to 5 or less Byleth: for ashe to finish off the enemy and get exp? Felix: yeeesssss... *actually uses his crest to finish off the enemy like a boss*
I know Felix Personal Skill makes him deal more damage without a battlion but honestly give him a Battalion people. His paralouge gives you the Fraldarious Battalion, that requires Authority rank of B, that gives Felix even more crit. Also, don't put him as a Mortal Savant or any mage for that matter. His Crest works far better as a War Master... which also gives him even more passive crit.
I find that Felix works really well with the Gloucester battalion as a mortal savant, actually. The +6/6 or so when maxed out helps his damage more than his personal skill would, and he gets some extra hit and defense to boot. War master does seem like a very solid option for him, especially considering his strength in fists, crest and one of the items you get later on in the game. I honestly don't think mortal savant is very good for his speed, but the utility of being able to cut through armor knights IS very useful, and the extra movement helps.
Honestly he still shouldn't have a battalion until late part 1 or early part 2. Almyra mercenaries is the only battalion he really needs since its an e rank battalion that gives +15 avoid and +5 damage. He is bad in authority so its very unrealistic for him to reach b without soley focusing in Authority, which hinders his other stats.
@@hokuhoku3244 Mortal Savant is a poor class that doesn't do anything particularly well, I don't recommend any character class into it, it's just not worth it. You can achieve the same result while making Felix a Swordmaster and giving him a Levin Sword+, Swordfaire and Sword Crit +10 will apply to that and makes his budding talent pretty pointless, and he won't be limited by his 4 Thoron uses per map while still retaining 3 range magic attacks. And Astra is a much better reward for reaching class mastery than... Warding Blow... No thanks. If you really want that 6 Mov, then Assassin is also pretty good on him, you'll lose the sword crit +10, but the extra dex and stealth should partially make up for the lost crit. War Master is great if you want to have Felix focus on gauntets, but the magic gauntlets are difficult to come by and Levin Sword will be less effective without double swordfaire, so keep that in mind if you want Felix to have hybrid damage.
I love stuff like this, as I walk poorly on a thin line of trying to make my units viable yet unique. And YEAH. I agree that making everybody bow knights and wyvern lords. I like variety tbh. Although I will say I do consider the wyvern option sometimes because the wyvern design in this game are ADORABLE! I love their silly antlers. XD
I made Dimitri go through Cavalier and Paladin, finally ending up in High Lord and Great Lord. Dedue was a War Master; Felix a Mortal Savant; and Ashe a Bow Knight.
He was a Dark Knight on my playthrough and did quite well. Very mobile and had physical and magical options for taking out key targets, or just holding the line with high defense and resistance.
@@TurbulentEitri Yeah he's doing excellent as it in my Golden Deer playthrough right now, I like that it gives me options and range with him. (I used him with magic in my first playthrough with the Blue Lions as well, but he was my Dancer that playthrough).
Yeah I'm on my second playthrough and I still made him my dancer twice. Mostly because of his strength growth and also because.... I needed a dancer. Everyone else is much more offensive than he is, so it just happened.
Stevie, you made a mistake with this video: you didn't romance Marianne. Wait, I thought this was waifu guide. Dammit man, I thought we were like family man. Jokes aside, I think my favorite plan for Felix is keeping him as a Swordmaster, its perfect for him
Honestly, I found myself drawn to Theif/Assassin Dedue. Its speed and Dex boosts really shore up his weaker stats and with s few star items makes him a really strong character that can double average speed characters.
Felix war master with death blow. Adding in the personal skill of+5, fist fair+5 and death blow +6 and possible crest +5 you get 4 attacks the do+16-21 damages not including gauntlet damage plus might. That is broken and amazing.
I was really impressed by the production value of your vid man, great job. I did grow a bit frustrated with how long you spent on the magic potential of Felix and Sylvain, though.
I have to wonder why Dimitri's final given class wasn't "High Prince" or "King." I mean, the game could give it to him directly after you recapture Fhirdiad.
Come on, man, dancer for Felix is arguably his best class (besides maybe mortal savant) And Hubert isn't the ONLY good dark mage, Lindhardt makes a rather good one
Here's what I've done with the Blue Lions units (* indicates I recruited the unit i my current second playthrough with GD): Dimitri: I put him into Paladin pre-timeskip, but let him become a Great Lord then a High Lord post-timeskip. Dedue: Fortress Knight, who needs speed WHEN NOTHING DOES DAMAGE. *Ashe: On my first run I put him into Sniper, and he critted everything in the end. Then I recruited him in my Golden Deer playthrough, and after putting him through the same classes (Fighter, Archer, and Sniper) he still crits everything. Basically I play Ashe like Russian Roulette with critical hits. *Felix: I went through the same classes in both of my playthroughs so far (BL & GD), and made him a Mortal Savant both times. *Sylvain: In my Blue Lions playthrough he was my Dancer (he was a fie Dancer too lol), and now I've made him a Dark Knight in my Golden Deer run. *Mercedes: I didn't level up her reason enough in my Blue Lions run, so she only made it to Bishop. But now I have her as a Gremory in my GD playthrough. Ingrid: Paladin, her strength is just awful, so I switched her into Paladin from Pegasus Knight. Annette: I also accidentally didn't level her faith so she was just a Warlock in the end.
Note that while Felix's personal skill is okay early game when 5 damage is a ton more, it's still better to get him a battalion. Some give as much as double the might increase, in addition to extra avoid, crit, charm, etc. Gautier Knights give +20 avo and I think +7/8 might, as well as Stride. A must have on anything that relies on dodge tanking and physical nuking. The only downside being it requires a B in authority.
So an interesting set for Felix that has saved my ass in maddening is going down the grappler road to ultimately get war master. With felix's insane speed coupled with his crest that has a ridiculous proc rate especially when you're quading everything in the game he can become an offensive power house
kinda surprised that assassin Felix wasn't even mentioned, given that he has proficiency with both swords and bows it feels like it would be a natural fit for him.
Nice video! Blue Lions was my first run and I can't wait to try them on NG+ soon. From my experience on a few of the physical units in this house: Dimitri: definitely regret using cavalry Dimitri because that speed nerf hurts. Fed him a bunch of speed carrots and speed wings and it all worked out in the end. As long as you're willing to farm pale blue flowers in the garden for Dimitri, paladin and cavalier works fine. Otherwise, I'm going for mercenary Dimitri next time around to boost speed early on, maybe considering swordmaster, hero or assassin until the time skip. Really recommend training his bow rank regardless because he destroyed my game with a forged silver bow and close counter. 11/10 for sure. Dedue: war master Dedue is amazing. Just give him death blow from brigand and he's pretty much good to go. Wonderful character and broken tank unit. He and Dimitri tank any physical hit like a champ. Felix: I had the hardest trouble with him at first since I didn't know what to do with him. But he can do anything and do it well. Any physical class is great for him. The sword infantry classes will help his growths through the roof. I gave almost all of my physical units a bow, and Felix has a preference for bows so it was even easier for him. I didn't use his preference for gauntlets at first but I'm going to use them in NG+ and consider war master Felix for endgame. I spent time and effort on Lances and axes for Felix and he breaks everything as a wyvern, but that was to be expected as one of the best physical units in any house. He's in my top 5 physical units in Three Houses. Sylvain: he has a bow weakness but he makes a stronger bow knight than Ashe, who makes a faster bow knight from my experience. I'll take them both down the wyvern route next time around, but there's no denying that bow range +2 is fun as hell. As long as the unit has good growths, bow knight is fine because it doesn't offer any growths that matter, so you're basically relying upon natural growth rates as a bow knight. The class ain't great in this sense, but bow range +2 is amazing.
I finished my run with Dimitry as a holy knight, not for damage but more for movement+canto and mixed-tankiness. The ability to heal doesn't hurt either. Lacking speed or strength doesn't hurt that much when you've got such outstanding combat arts to play with.
I took Ashe down the Wyvern Lord path in my first playthrough, I guess I forgot that that wasn’t intended... he ended up a beast, especially in the middle part of the run (late pre-time skip, early post). I reckon I’ll keep doing it!
I would've loved to see more Dark Magic users in 3H instead of 2 and a half plus 1 on DLC probably could've pulled it off with a larger Reason Split and Dark being its own spell pool from Black wishful thinking I guess
the part 2 canon uniform thing only applies to mounted classes as they would normally override the setting of monastery uniform in-battle. You still have to set the in-battle uniform to monastery to see it.
I didn't see Levin Sword mentioned for Mortal Savant Felix, which is just an overall amazing weapon for damage dealing from a distance with 1-3 range and saving your spell uses for doubling (Thunder) or more range (S Rank Reason 4-tile Thoron). It also leverages your Swordfaire and Sword Mastery passives so you don't have to focus on anything else besides Swords and Reason.
I once made my Dedue a warmaster with Vantage, Wrath, Brawl crit +10, Fistfaire, and Quick Riposte. I then gave him killer gauntlets plus the 20 crit boost from the class so he would have 100% crit chance on enemy phase at half hp. The guy shredded everything on the final map.
Started a 2nd playthrough on hard. Right from the beginning of the game, I had Dedue equipped with the one silver shield you can buy, as well as a battalion that buffs defense plus 5... I don't think I've ever seen him take physical damage. I basically run stride on my healer, get him to run SUPER deep to draw aggro from all the enemies, and then he can one-shot basic enemies with the silver axe. He's a BEAST!! Even if you just use iron axe, he gets the enemies to half HP and then you can run in with your other guys and clean up the kills.
Great video. If you could, you should delve into gardening for the rest of the class guides. Pale-blue and green flower seeds can give you dexterity and speed powerups which is good if you're trying to make a Seth 2.0.
I have to say - (I played this a few times now). re: felix. Felix has +5 (flat) without a Battalion - there are some battalions that can raise his attacks (as well as avoid ) - so i would raise his authority and watch him be amazing. Also with his prof. in bows - don't count him out being an AMAZING Assassin (it does kinda hurt his strength - but then that's where the crest comes in anyway). or a bow knight. even sans the horse - the arguments for the mortal savant (hitting further with range) - is equally there w/Felix with a bow/bow knight range 2(+1 if you get S in bow).
I really want to try an all Holy knight blue lions run, it would be so fun to use magic on units that don't normally use it, might have to do a normal difficulty though...😅
I think the Cavalier line is worth mentioning for Ashe, it's decent for his strength and helps him level lances and riding faster which will theoretically get Ashe to Bow Knight quicker than the Archer line will. The -10% speed definitely hurts Ashe more than it would Ingrid or Felix, but 40% isn't horrible and you can also alternate between the archer and cavalier lines rather than sticking to just one the whole way through. My Ashe held his own for the vast majority of the game as a Cavalier and Paladin, though he did end up being my weakest unit out of the original Blue Lions in the end game. Not unusable, but he struggled a bit. He was decently tanky with equal defense and resistance for a lot of the game. Stat wise the Wyvern Rider lines is a bit better but Cavalier does still fix his issues, it just hinders one of his strengths a little bit. All in all worth considering, I'd at least say it's a better alternative to the archer line in terms of the Bow knight progression.
You mentioned why learn multiple weapon types? It's mainly for stacking things like Lance breaker, and axe breaker. Because having 20 hit/avoid against 2 enemy types is better then 1 on maddening.
Although Felix's specialty is Swords, he is actually and possibly the best War Master, he brutally outclasses Caspar as a War Master, being faster, stronger and more accurate, although he won't take advantage of Quick Reposte as good as Raphael or Dedue, so he's a better War Master in the Player Phase, while Raphael and Dedue are better in the Enemy Phase
I've been playing blind and it is fun that way. That said, I will definitely refer to this for my next BL playthrough. Edit: I advocate for Ashe as a Warrior and then War Master. He's a beast! I was able to highly rank him in axes, gauntlets, and bows.
I genuinely had no idea Dedue was supposed to be so slow... I guess I got really REALLY lucky, but by the endgame he was one of my fastest units? I took him through the fighter, brigand, grappler, war master path. His attack speed is consistently above 30 while Annete has like 16-20 for example, which is what i would consider slow.
Heh I turned kept their post-time skip outfits on the entire time so all their classes are canon. On a real tho, why isn't Falcon Knight Ingrid's canonical class if the outfit thing is true?
No unit naturally has their War outfit in a master class. Don’t know why, but it’s just like that. Falcon Knight is most certainly Ingrid’s canon class
I Think ppl said it, but pls consider Combat Arts in your Guides too otherwise, It's a really detailed and also easy to understand Guide for characters
On maddening new game+ it's easy to grind your units to get the abilities you want on them. Right now I'm on chapter 14 I think and everyone in my party (besides seteth and Gilbert etc) are in a master class with all the abilities I want (Sylvain with Pavise, Death Blow, Fiendish Blow in Dark Knight, Mortal Savant Felix with Death Blow, Life Taker, Fiendish Blow, Black Magic Crit + 10, Dimitri with Resistance +2, Pavise, Death Blow, Etc) this game is amazing for customization
I look at felix's growths and his ability and just think make him use gauntlets. Not only are they great for an auto double, but his personal skill early on means it's like he was given fistfaire from level 1. Granted he basically get's (insertweaponhere)faire with no battalion on him, but that makes him using gauntlets even more insane. Once you get his authority up and a battalion that gives the same amount of strength or higher then his ability, not to mention deathblow from brigand, yeah he is absolutely insane, one of the best brawlers in the game, the absolute best in the early game, but otherwise is just behind Caspar (I honestly dunno if he's better then Raphael or not, I forget what Raph's STR growth is).
I would agree with the idea that fortress knight isn’t that great but it also has some pretty great bonuses for defense. With them my deduce was up to 55 defense while anothe rclass like warrior left him at around 45
Just use the auxiliary battles to grind and you can get S+ for everyone. There is a trick to grind to make things faster and You can master all classes.
I took ashe into the Holy Knight Class. I still used bows, but he could heal with Physic and snipe chip with deadeye. Debuff Combat arts too! Great support unit.

Digizel the Bui I don’t even need the crit ring! The guy crits every chance he gets!
Flying lockpick is BUSTED
I didnt bother using him in my new game hard mode blue lion route. Just replaced him with Shamir
Ashe just has nothing going for him
@@hellothere2570 Idk about you, but my Ashe was shooting with a 80-100 accuracy at max range against almost everything that didn't have particularly high natural evasion or hiding away in something that gave a +20/30 to evasion
Whether you make him a Bow Knight to make his range hilariously large or make him a Wyvern Master to make him a Claude Jr. with better range and the utility of free locktouch, he'll serve his purpose well as long as you build him right. He's too versatile for me to NOT use. xD
Don't get me wrong though, other archers are certainly good. And yeah, Shamir is definitely the "better" unit if you're out specifically for damage. And if you're in Golden Deer, you probably don't need another archer. But even then...flying lockpick without using up a valuable skill slot with the ability to support from long range? I'll take that any day.
getting aegis for felix is pointless. his relic not only gives him aegis without taking up slots, it gives him pavis as well.
You could argue that having it as a skill means the shield won't weigh him down, but in that case I'd still agree that it's not worth taking up the ability slot. If Felix really needs the extra speed in certain circumstances then you can give him a speed ring and have him equip it if the shield will weigh him down too much.
Along with extra defense and res when the skills don’t proc
but I didn't meet the requirement in his paralog to get his relic
Honestly the way I see Dedue, he takes hits, leaves enemies at low HP for others to finish. If you REALLY want him to double, give him Quick Riposte. He's an amazing tank.
I was already planning on making him a war master for my current playthrough, but I somehow didn't account for Quick Riposte. I like it!
@@r-xxivfireemblemoverplay1004 i use him as a boss chipper and for luring
* watching my Dedue quad literally everything *: wow I really lucked out on speed growths
He _what_
*sees pigs soaring through the sky*
Oh, that explains it.
You could also give him gauntlets and dismount if you want to double
Ashe's Budding talent is a Lance Skill that seals Defense, not Seal Strenght
Whoops, sorry about that!

In my playthrough:
Dimitri - Holy Knight
Sylvain - Dark Knight
Felix - Mortal Servant
Ashe - Bow Knight
Ingrid - Falcon Knight
Annette - Gremory
Mercedes - Gremory
Dedue - War Master
nice but why dimtri holy knight like tf its so bad for him his Lord classes is actually like godlike
Dedue with Pavis, Aegis and Quick Riposte was hilarious.
Why giving him pavis if he already take 0 damage ?
And yes, quick ripost is fun
@@alesian3643 Good point actually
I made my Dedue a DeDancer simply cause I was gonna S support him. Was it smart? No. Would I do it again if I could? HELL YEAH.
i finished Blue Lions 1st and then Golden Deer. :D
P.S.: Dimitri, Ashe and Dedue were BEASTS on my first playthrough...
You can actually side with the church against edlegard on the black eagles route, though doing that means you loose both her and Hubert.
Thanks for the guide Stevie. A very much needed video to min maxing units since Maddening difficulty is out and EXP gains are harsh so every level up counts.
Thank you, ChehCheh!

yeah its a ridiculous 40% chance per hit, and you give him gauntlets, that's like almost guaranteed.
I've just made Dimitri into my dancer. I regret nothing. Can't wait for Part 2 Dance-Mitri
MarkTheLeo Yea on lunatic I’m guessing war master would be great for Felix to ensure he doubles and does tons of dmg.
War Master is great if you want to have Felix focus on gauntets, but the magic gauntlets are difficult to come by and Levin Sword will be less effective without double swordfaire, so keep that in mind if you want Felix to have hybrid damage.
honestly just leave felix an assasin. he is so good in that class

Dedue: OH GOD HE ATE THE WEED!
I love that you list every spell each character can learn very helpful thank you
Clean and efficient
This guide is really awesome, I'll be waiting for the 2nd part 🙆
Thanks so much for tuning in!
This is actually the best Blue Lion's Guide i've seem yet.
Wow, this video must have taken a crazy amount of work man! Really great advice. Looking forward to part 2!
Easily the best and most comprehensive Three Houses analysis available on RUclips right now! Can't wait to see what else you come out with!
Thank you! I released part one of my teacher guides so far, featuring Manuela, working on more!
Haven’t touched Blue Lions yet but this really makes me want to do crazy builds once I play through this route.
ZimonZieClown same
In my experience, Sylvain makes an EXCELLENT magic unit.
Lol wha-_
@@Jan-vp9qt He really does though. I put him into Dark Knight and he just destroys everything lol.
That's because Blue Lion house has the best students and if you disagree then you're a stupid fucking communist.
I made Ashe a dancer to take advantage of Sword Avo +20 and he doesn't have to use his defense if he avoids everything or is a support
LOL Ashe as a dancer sounds so awkward though
Yeah I'm on my second playthrough and I still made him my dancer twice. Mostly because of his strength growth and also because.... I needed a dancer. Everyone else is much more offensive than he is, so it just happened.
Felix as a grappler works really good because of his crest effect. He can basically pulp down almost every enemy in 1-2 turns.
I made Felix an assassin, which he was disgustingly good at. Critting on like every other hit, almost never getting hit. Absolute madness.
Stevie, you made a mistake with this video: you didn't romance Marianne.
Wait, I thought this was waifu guide. Dammit man, I thought we were like family man.
Jokes aside, I think my favorite plan for Felix is keeping him as a Swordmaster, its perfect for him
Marianne's ending with Dimitri is by far the best.

Felix war master with death blow. Adding in the personal skill of+5, fist fair+5 and death blow +6 and possible crest +5 you get 4 attacks the do+16-21 damages not including gauntlet damage plus might.
That is broken and amazing.
This will help for that maddening run coming up on my end.
I was really impressed by the production value of your vid man, great job.

Good video. Number crunchers & unit analysis videos are always fun.
Looking forward to the following seven videos.
I have to wonder why Dimitri's final given class wasn't "High Prince" or "King." I mean, the game could give it to him directly after you recapture Fhirdiad.
They might have wanted to call it Lion King but then realized they’d get sued for that
@@Edgeperor hmm oh well.
Come on, man, dancer for Felix is arguably his best class (besides maybe mortal savant)
And Hubert isn't the ONLY good dark mage, Lindhardt makes a rather good one
i legitimately used felix as the dancer, but only to get sword avo+20. its actually insane on him because i went ham on speed for him.
@@Cami-cn7do you went ham on speed? Drugs are bad m'kay?
Anyone is good as a dancer, and the combat opportunities the class offers aren't that important because a dancer is a combat unit on enemy phase only.
Here's what I've done with the Blue Lions units (* indicates I recruited the unit i my current second playthrough with GD):
Dimitri: I put him into Paladin pre-timeskip, but let him become a Great Lord then a High Lord post-timeskip.
I hope you include Gilbert in part 2; since you only can get him in the Blue Lions Route, he's basically a honorary member of the house.
If I do a part of this with the teachers I'll include him there
This is exactly the video I was looking for. Thank you so much
Note that while Felix's personal skill is okay early game when 5 damage is a ton more, it's still better to get him a battalion.
Felix is good at pretty much any physical class, that I said a lot, so you can really do whatever you want with him
Nice video! Blue Lions was my first run and I can't wait to try them on NG+ soon. From my experience on a few of the physical units in this house:
Dimitri: definitely regret using cavalry Dimitri because that speed nerf hurts.
FINALLY AFTER A WEEK OF WAITING!!!!
Life's been crazy and I was working on this monster!
@@lucky_crit Don't worry boss take it easy :D
The March ring is Dedue's best friend.
19:22 Laughs in Lysithea
I made Dimitri go into a bow knight class and that range for someone with good strength is good compared to someone like ashe
I would've loved to see more Dark Magic users in 3H instead of 2 and a half plus 1 on DLC
probably could've pulled it off with a larger Reason Split and Dark being its own spell pool from Black
wishful thinking I guess
the part 2 canon uniform thing only applies to mounted classes as they would normally override the setting of monastery uniform in-battle. You still have to set the in-battle uniform to monastery to see it.
i think felix makes for one of the best warmasters, using gauntlets makes his crest proc constantly
I just like to make them their "canon" classes to keep their time skip outfit
Thank you for this. I watched this to find out what the hell to do with Ashe.
The guy shredded everything on the final map.
when in doubt, WYVERNSSSSSS
I've seen really great results with Felix as a Brawler so far, x4 hits and most of them doing great damage or sometimes critting.
This is fantastic can’t wait for the other houses ✨
Great video, just about to finish up my golden deer run and I just have the blue lion route left so this really helps
Bro your video is so damn helpful! 💯👍🏼
I'm glad you are getting a lot out of it! Thank you!
Excellent video, I really love your content!
Thank you so much for watching!
I really want to try an all Holy knight blue lions run, it would be so fun to use magic on units that don't normally use it, might have to do a normal difficulty though...😅
Chess Player i’m doing that on my play through rn
My Dedue is weirdly fast. I thought he had good speed stats. Huh. Godue is one of my best. Nearly always doubling and always quading when attacking
I was able to highly rank him in axes, gauntlets, and bows.
really interesting review and analysis
I Think ppl said it, but pls consider Combat Arts in your Guides too
otherwise, It's a really detailed and also easy to understand Guide for characters
60% fucking strenght growth. This gamee is almost 2 years old and I'm still not over that.
Lol
With them my deduce was up to 55 defense while anothe rclass like warrior left him at around 45
will you be covering the church units? most of them are pretty great.
Wyvern lord, Swordmaster and war master. Slap death blow and brawl avo on whoever you can. This makes maddening a breez.
Sylvain got an insane Mortal savant and Warmaster Felix 1 shots even the last boss
I made Dimitri my dancer for the first Blue Lions run as a joke. He became a god, only taught him reason for some sort of long range attack/defense
