  • There has been the tragic passing of one of the state's last remaining World War II veterans who died after falling from his gopher on the way to this morning's dawn service.
    The RSL was waiting for 98-year-old John Atkinson at the Port Broughton foreshore but the decorated serviceman never arrived.
