How did you get your front bracket accessories on there?
This should explain it

Thanks. I'm about to do a clevor swap. I have the 375 clevor setup from B and A performance. Track Boss 351 intake etc. Going in 95 mustang.
Sounds awesome!
I always enjoy watching your videos. Nice setup you have. I used to run a Cleveland in my 1967 Mustang , I have always had a love for the 351C. I now have a 1990 Mustang and am considering a 351W swap. I have considered a Clevor as it can give the best of both worlds, Windsor parts availability for the bottom end but better head setup for the top end. The Cleveland heads are a good setup, large ports with canted valves. I also like the Stinger ECU, a lot of ECU and features for the money. Good luck, I hope the setup continues to go well for you.
Thanks man! It’s been a long road to where it’s at now. Lots more to do. I’m hoping to get a late 60s early 70s Mustang in the near future.... probably a turbo 351w for that car.
Excellent...keep up the good work!
Thanks. Version 2 of the Clevor is coming soon...
Great build. Doing the Clevor in my 1969 Mustang when I get the motor back. My 388 Cleveland 570HP at the crank. let go on me at the track. Made the decision to take the 208 chi heads and put the original 1969 351w block back in the car with the Chi heads and intake. Hoping to make 600hp N/A on 91 octane. Motor is going to be a 420 cubic inch stroker. Keep the videos updating.
Thank you! I’m making some custom headers at the moment, but should have some dyno and track videos before the end of the season
You’ve got to be totally excited.
You have no idea. Can’t wait to drive this thing!
Clevor I just bought a build coupe myself that has clutch issues. I’m ready to lose my mind. I want to drive the thing so stinking bad.
I hear that. I just moved to an emissions state, so I’m not going to be able to drive this thing legally for a while... My clutch will probably need an upgrade too. I think it’s only rated to around 450 ft lbs.... so I’ll have to try and go easy on it while I break it in
Sweet T-top car .... Probably going to invest in a SVO bi-wing to help keep the rear planted to the ground
Thanks! Definitely my favorite. I had ten at one point, but sold 9 and kept this one. Always been my favorite
Also I 2 guys making rediculas power on 69 351 blocks. One is a 408 in a 65 coupe with a v1 on 22 psi and makes Jus under 1200 whp other is a 393 in a fox with a v3 on 15 psi not sure what it makes but would guess close to 1000 at the wheel.
That’s awesome! Hopefully after I get the engine back in the car again, I’ll be able to make some serious power on the dyno.... I’m hoping to be well over 600 to the wheels. 800 would be ideal, but I’m getting a lot of belt slip.
those 351 Windsor blocks benefit from a good stud girdle over those mains. mine doesn't have one but i'm only in the 500 range on horses with a cast crank.
Totally agree
Perhaps, the emission state you’re now residing in has an historical vehicle tag you could register your car as? Sure beats installing all that emissions garbage especially on a vehicle that probably does more sitting in the garage than it does on these precious third world like highways are great nation seems to have these days!
In Colorado, they unfortunately still make you do emissions from mid 70s up, so there’s no way my car can be registered in Colorado.
I'm honestly surprised more people don't build clevors. Aftermarket C heads crap on even the best aftermarket W heads.
Totally agree... expensive swap though...
I do have one more question regarding emissions. You said you’re in an emission stare so you’ve to take steps to pass your local requirements. I too am in an emission state. I’m fortunate though in the fact that a vehicle over twenty years of age is no longer required. Does your state have anything like this? If so, what is the cutoff?
So our laws are pretty stringent here. If a car was built after 1975, emissions is required every year, however if it’s 32 year old or older but newer than 1975 you can register it as a collector and only have to test it once every five years.....
I'm looking to build a Clevor for my 1996 explorer 302. But it looks like I'll be going with a 351 block due to no company making a 302 efi clevor intake. The heads I have are for a 76 351M f250 so I'll have to buy some pretty big domed pistons. No idea what to do with the valvetrain and cam yet but I want some good power but still run off the factory EEC-V computer and be quiet and have a smooth idle. Then I'm buying a brand new monster transmissions 4r70w to top it all off. Then exhaust i feel will be the hardest part besides making a cam sync sensor (distributor) for the 351 block to fire my coil packs
Sounds like a fun build! They pull like a freight train!
They make a Clevor carb intake that’s cheaper.... you could add injector bungs??
@Mr Free1 • 18 years ago sounds awesome!
Jake....The 351M engine/heads are included in Fords 335 series of Cleveland engines but they could benefit from port work and upgraded valve train components if you want to use them for a performance build. Your best source for pistons and more for 351M/400 engines along with hardcore Cleveland parts including the TrackBoss aluminum alloy Cleveland block is Tim Meyer. He specializes in Clevelands and is the only source for stroker kits that use the correct Cleveland specific rods. Most other stroker kits use Chevy rods with the wrong offset which causes excessive side loads on the pistons and sealing issues. Check him out.

What brand 351c cylinder heads are you using what are the specs or are they the oem iron heads?
Trick flow Clevor power port heads. 60cc combustion chamber is about all I can remember at the moment lol
What does it take to set a set of Cleveland heads on a 302 ? I have heard a few older guys saying that was the thing to do back then.
The 69 boss 302 did this. It’s the same process with a 302 and a 351w. Trick flow makes all the parts you need
Kaase has direct fit heads
They sure do... for twice my mortgage payment loo
What's the part number on your crank? And where did you order it from?
I’ll grab the part number from my build sheet for you later today... I can’t remember off hand.
Ok thank you
Part number on my crank is: EAG435140006200 and it’s made by Eagle. I had a local speed shop but the parts for me because they get a discount... I’m not sure where he ordered it, I just gave him the part numbers to order...
Alright thank you
Did u ever get it on a dyno?
That’s coming soon!
If you can find it a 69-70 block will handle more
Nice tip, thanks
I am thinking of a dart block
Ditto, minus the price 🤷🏼♂️
@@BMF_Garage only a track car at that point .
THOSE LOOK LIKE WINDSOR HEADS, CLEVELANDS HAVE CANTED VALVES
Which heads? I can assure you mine are Cleveland heads
have a pony. there cool , just saw channel. 🔔 being new very intrested in foxbody & bama ecu, getting other main things done to it do for major road trip first but very interested in small blocks and stroker 347-450 hp, natural aspirated ..small blocks great Channel man love those ponies, possibly tubo or whipple- yet still its budge, rebuilt kits, cool be watching 👍
Thanks!
how much did this cost ?
another great video
It was not cheap lol 😂 forged intervals with complete head work... touch over 8k
lord have mercy on my unemployment
😂😂 I went into the build expecting just heads.... but my stock 351w crank was bent... so I opted for a forged one... then I decided might as well go full forged bottom end.... then upgraded the valves/springs... then porting/polishing.... then I had to get a new flywheel... then new headers... kind of snowballed out of control....
where do you get all these 351w? junkyard , online ?
Bad ads guitarist! ,,
Here's a suggestion with all the great affordable aftermarket aluminum heads that will totally outflow any Cleveland head on the planet, why not consider a set of those instead of something that's so outdated?
Free cleveland heads are cheaper. I think you have a great point and I thought about doing that.... But these had work done to them already and were a gift from a buddy... In my opinion the Clevor is unique/different and that's what I was going for.
Clevor BMF. I see your point sometimes you work with what you have!
Yup, exactly
Better than any Cleveland head on the planet? Might want to acquaint yourself with an event called the Engine Master's Challenge. If they let Jon Kaase build a Cleveland headed engine every year, he'd win every year. But they won't, or it would become the "Ford Canted-Valve Master's Challenge". The aftermarket Cleveland heads take the strong points the ancient factory items had and update them. How many times have one of the Windsor headed entries won EMC? Zero. Kaase, Bischoff, Main, etcetera have shown what a Cleveland/Boss likes to do: win.
Plenty of modern aftermarket Windsor heads will flow fantastic numbers, but numbers don't always translate to useful horsepower. And for flow numbers, investigate what a good set of CHI or Blue Thunder Cleveland heads are easily capable of, if that's your primary yardstick. Cleveland and Windsor are two different designs, and Clevelands simply outperform Windsors. Sort of like Chrysler Hemis outperform Chrysler B/RB heads. I agree with the owner of this channel, that some of the old factory Cleveland heads were compromised to the point that they were not that great, but my 1970 Boss 302 heads flow slightly better than the modern aluminum ones I have, if flow is all that matters. (Both sets were just cleaned up and had a little short-turn work.) I do not expect the Boss 302 heads to be actually superior to the modern C heads. The modern ones will probably have lots better air velocity, and the chambers are modernized.
I am not trying to propagate a flame war, just putting an opinion out there. I get awfully tired of hearing that "modern Windsor's run/flow better than Cleveland's" stuff, just like I have always hated that "Chivvies beat Fords every time", "LS motors are superior to everything" junk, etcetera, and once in a while, I have to respond to a false blanket statement. So, apologies to the owner for a long post.
DigTheseBlues, thanks for pointing that all out, now I don't have to. People don't realize how good Cleveland heads were and are.
408 Clevor>>>LSx??
I’ve never ran an LSx so I’m biased lol I like horsepower.... both can do that well
Spend the money on a hood.
LOL No thanks. There are other more important things that I need 700$ for. After the hood, shipping, and paint.... I'll buy a new clutch, roll cage or rear end instead..... Unless of course you are willing to donate a paint matched hood?! :)
Clevor BMF that good is hideous. Lol. Sorry looks means a lot. But I guess not to others lol. What cage you going with?
Clevor BMF you can buy a pin on hood for 250 used
I'd rather it function first, then I'll worry about the looks.
Used pin on hood for a 79-86 mustang for 250 bucks... I'd like to see where you are finding those... I can see for 87-93 all day long, but not for a four eye car. those go fast. Not to mention, I'm not looking because I have better things to spend my dough on lol. To each their own
