How to Change the Default Video Player App in Android

Dont worked for me but I found the solution, type default app 》 opening links 》find the video player and click 》 open and click at bottom the option clear defaults, also I did remove the option to open new links

App > Manage Apps > 3 dot on upper right > Other settings > Default apps ❤

To me what works(on Xperia 1 v) is that I set an app to always open it, then I went to the phone settings>apps>(here) open the app you have chosen before the press on it and then press on{open as default}>remove default settings. After that I went on the open a video and I could choose an app to open it once or always.
