2002 to 2004 when I was a college student I have visited this hotel almost 100times or even more the person who was serving he is still working and after 5 to 7 times he has never came to take my order he knows what I would order he use to serve me directly it was such a wonderful flash back memory for me thank u unbox karnataka superb guru all the best

All are telling about mtr,ctr,vidhyarthi bhava about their famous dosa but belive me there is a hotel in shivajinagar in front of bowring hospital the hotel name is shilpa veg seriously once you tasted masala dosa their you will forget all these famous dosas like mtr ,ctr,vidyathibavana,and by2 coffe benne masala dosa it is in front of ctr that by2 coffe benne masala dosa is bettere superb than ctr.
Places that serve better dosay than Vidyarthi Bhavan in Bengaluru-
1. Dwaraka NR colony
2. Mangala Hanumanth Nagara.
3. Old Janata Hotel Malleshwara - This place has lost charm these days.
4. SLV Banashankari BDA.
5. NMH.
6. Old MTR.
VB used to be good with their unique red rice batter but nowadays it's over priced and almost feels like deep fried stuff.

I was in college when dosa was Rs 20 & very tasty back then..Now after a decade, it's the worst dosa I had, can't believe !!

Dose crispy, may be a part of Vidhyarthi bhavan, but kannadigas feel more homely here, than @ many outsiders' owned hotels who make 101 type dosas if asked, none tasty. No doubt it's hyped, at present, but then, show me a hotel where you have great regard and respect for KANNADA laureates, dramatists, actors, singers, jnana peetha awardees, great philanthropists who actually ate @ Vidhyarthi bhavan very same dosas now such contribution to culture, fondly decked in pencil sketches Anakru, Masthi, Kuvempu, Bendre, TPK,DVG,Dr.Rajkumar etc.. remembered... people who built modern Karnataka ate here, at the very table and chairs, under very same 60 year old fans... without change of very taste of dosa itself... that's tradition for you kept alive @ all costs. Noble aim to help vidyarthees, however, seems to have disappeared in course of time.Thats also true. Paradox that poor vidyarthees now prefer a full meal for same cost elsewhere in Gandhi Bazar.

Best dosa but potato masala can be better. It's not over priced. Some hotels in Bangalore charge around or more than one hunred rupees.
Money has gone into their heads and they have become very arrogant. They don’t care about customers. I got half done dosay twice and they couldn’t care less!. ‘Rush nalli kelavu sala agatte sir’ was their response, didn’t offer to correct their poor service, just moved on to take the next person’s money.
There are hundreds of other equally good places in Bengaluru today. I don’t waste time anymore waiting at VB.

Just a over hyped place bro tried it few months back after waiting for hours for tasting it...it didn't provide me the satisfaction I expected taste is average or u can say it as normal and when we had visited some other people where complaining that the dose they received was cold
