alright, time to yap for a long time, goodluck reading this: i think story is really important to the games, which is why i enjoy superchargers a lot. without the storyline in superchargers, you wouldn't have any idea why you're going to all these different places for specific things. an example of this is when you go to get lord stratosfear's lightning bolt staff to go to the scary skylands to save eon from count moneybone (i havent played skylanders superchargers in a while lol) my point is, without a storyline in the games, you wouldn't have any idea why you're doing everything in the game to stop the main evil.
I think there should be a distinction between the graphics and art style. SSA and Giants are lower poly and less graphically complex, but the art style they use is completely different than the rest of the series. Its a more dirty, less saturated, grounded approach. Where SF and onward is far more cartoony and bright. Personally I prefer the direction of the first two games, as it carries a little more weight and maturity

Ngl a more "mature" game would be excellent, i mean with a good story, because we fans of the franchise are grown ups now and by creating a good plot new players would come easier. Not just fans carried by nostalgia
Ok not hating on cloud breaker but the only reason story is in last is because Imaginators is his favorite (nothing wrong with that) but story is not the most important but it is still important more important than some other things on this list.
I say the most important thing that they need in Skylanders. Is Flynn. There’s a reason why Skylanders Academy season 3 is the best and it’s because it has Flynn.
I always prioritize gameplay and cast over the story/lore, I play world of warcraft and have for atleast 14 years now, and I can't say I know much of the lore/story 😂
I think for me what make or break a skylanders game would be the balance of the skylanders I don't like imaginators or trap team because of how hard hitting certain skylanders are and weaker the old skylanders become I want to use older figures because I like them or when I bring a older skylanders to a new game they feel off or unplayable example swap-force prism brake or most swap-force skylanders in trap team
I would have the story be 1 of the 3 most important factors I often watch the cutscenes here on RUclips + without the story, SuperChargers is a weird mess

I largely agree, all aspects of Skylanders are important especially the gameplay and the fun factor, the latter above all makes Skylanders amazing.
