There were a lot of trails and it looked like a lot of fun. Despite a small crash by Gian-Marco and the mishap on the bonus trail, you finished on time with a lot of points. Great performance guys. I am looking forward to the next day. Ride on and have a great week Darren🤙

Thanks Christoph. Despite the couple of hiccups we had, this day worked out pretty well. Even without getting lost twice, I don't think we could have fitted in more trails. I'm interested to hear what you think of day 3, it was a special one!

Nice work Darren... These days must really start adding up on the old body as this race continues... LONG ASS days on the bike doing serious trails... A symphony of pain and happiness!

Thanks Phil. YOu certainly feel the body after 3 solid days, and while my climbing fitness may not be the best, the downhill stamina I've built up through the season really came into play.

Oh the drama 😄 Great fun watching you trying to stay inside the time limit. I did not realize the Grisch ride can be that stressful. Now I'm not sure if it's really easier than an enduro race ... I get the feeling it can be a lot more demanding if you push for fitting as much trailmeters inside the time budget as possible. But boy do those trails look like Enduro heaven to me. Can't wait to watch the last day ... I alreadysaw the thumbnail ... bad weather is always a possibility in the alps. I can only imagine how hard those trails will b in the rain. I remember riding Nauders in the rain, that was tough. On to the next video!

Drama is the right word. It wasn't until we did a time check in Inner Arosa that we knew we were probably going to make it. I had never pushed so hard down that descent before. Funnily enough, that last descent really isn't bad in the wet, the rocks are surprisingly grippy. Nauders in the rain must be the stuff of nightmares though!!!!

@@TrailTrackerSwitzerland What is the penalty if you miss the time limit? And yes, some trails in Nauders can get nightmarish in the wet. Haideralm obviously can be extremely hard, but also the 3-Länder trail consists mainly of roots in the lower part. Green trail on Mutzkopf and the lower Elfentrail have tricky sections, but the rest of them are actually not too bad in the rain.

This region is full of trails. Is there a good overview on the trails available? Are there guides? Are guides needed?

I have quite a few routes from that region that I have shared on komoot. There are also a load in Trailforks and there is the Bike Kingdom app as well, which all make it quite possible to put together your own tours without a guide. Having said that if you don’t have much time and want to be as efficient as possible, a guide would help.

haha that komoot voice sounds like out of a comedy bit 😂 "... you have left the tour ... take a look at the map ..."

I know. As useful as komoot is, it sometimes feels like it's just there to poke fun at me 😂

@@TrailTrackerSwitzerlandYeah I also thought the voice just sounded comedic in that instance. A bit like the guy from IT crowd maybe 😄 Richard sth

Great video Darren. Looks like my type of event format. What time of year is it on?

Thanks Rob. It’s a format that appeals to a really diverse range of bikers. It always takes place at the end of August. Let me know if you want more details.
