I love playing jazz on my acoustic and don't really like the tone of clean electric guitars so if I ever need to amplify my acoustic, I'm going to look into adding a magnetic pick up. Will the magnetic pick-up work on a nylon string, acoustic guitar?
Grab a magnet and try to pick up some nylon string off the floor. Any luck? Didn't think so. So you won't generate an electrical signal either, with nylon strings.
...You got vocals going in, guitar going in....that small box doesn't handle both.....you have to go into the amp....then somehow get that signal out to the venue's PA system, right ???
The Fishman Loudbox Mini is a two channel amp that has inputs for instrument (guitar) and vocals (microphone). I know because I own one. All the Fishman acoustic amps have the same features. Also they all have a D.I. out to the P.A.!
I needed this information. Thank you! Peg head nation puts out some of the best info videos on RUclips IMO.
Teja has explained the things so well that now I understand how these pickups and amps work
I'm totally new to "amplified music", and from this perspective I found this introduction very helpful. Thank you.
Great information. Thanks for the video.
this demonstration was done so well that now I feel confident that I can have my guitar enhanced by having pick-ups installed on it with great results
This is the best acoustic guitar amplification review on RUclips. And the sound of your guitar is phenomenal. Thank you

Unfortunately not. you need a steel string guitar for the magnets to work.

Thanks, very useful for someone like me that is barely learning about amps!
