Mr. Arrow's death always freaked me out. Black holes are the closest thing to existential dread given form and the fact its the main characters ally dying in such a horrible way instead of the antagonist felt wrong to me as a kid.

Very much so. Things that made it so spooky for me was how dark (literally) everything was, that Aurora and Maleficent were silent through out, that the fairies (the comedy relief of the movie) were in genuine terror (the moment when Flora realized that Maleficent was not only there, but already working her dark plan was a highlight of that), and lastly and perhaps most important the music being played.

A scene that really scared me was a particular scene in Bambi.
After the Little April's shower song, the music very abruptly changes tone. As we pan from Bambi and his mom to the dark sky and lightning strikes the storm kicks in.
The shadows, the sounds, the human vocals that mimic winds, the lightning striking, just.... everything.
The oyster scene in Alice was a valuable lesson for me as a kid. What I took out of it is: never blindly go with a stranger. you never know their true intentions.

Night at Bald Mountain from Fantasia. It’s literally the devil summoning the dead and his demons for the scariest rave party.
The bear from The Fox and the Hound. Those red eyes and growls will haunt you.
Dumbo’s mother going on a rampage. Horrifying for a human to see a supposably gentle giant angry and a mother losing her baby.
The village massacre from Mulan. It shows how ruthless the huns are.
Don’t know if this counts as a Disney movie, but Here Here Santa Claus from the Nightmare before Christmas. It’s so unsettling listening to song that’s about kidnapping and doing bad stuff to Santa Claus.

The scary scenes I remember being afraid of was definitely:
The bear from Fox and the Hound ( that bear was HUGE and was out for blood)
The Beast outburst of anger (I always cover my ears every time he roars or get angry)
The Evil Queens transformation ( SO CREEPY)

What about Gaston's death in "Beauty and the Beast"? They really set it up interestingly, because at first, Gaston came across as pompous egotist, but by the end, he, as you say, went full beast- mode (sort of ironically). Also an honorable mention to Forte, the evil pipe-organ in "Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas". He was rather sinister from the beginning, but really again went full-on beast mode by the end.

I have a different gold medal: Mr. Manchas going savage in Zootopia.
Think about how innocent Zootopia had been up until then. Act 2 basically plays out like this:
    #1: Judy trolls Nick.
#2: A lot of nude jokes.
    #3: Famous DMV scene.
    #4: Cute Godfather reference.
    #5: ZOMBIE PLAGUE!!!
We learn at the end of the shrew wedding that the cute little otter was actually the aggressor. Otterton's victim, Mr. Manchas, describes how he suddenly started screaming, then attacking.
And then we see the exact same thing happen to Mr. Manchas. Right before he starts trying to kill our heroes.
It went from being a cute "bunny cop" movie to 28 Days Later in mere minutes. I was so unprepared for such that it literally scared a fart out of me in the theater.

    - Sabor Attacks Kala in Tarzan (a terrifying encounter with a terrifying jungle cat)
    - the Elephant Graveyard and the Wildebeest Stampede in The Lion King (Simba survived those terrifying moments and even death at the jaws of the hyenas)
    - Shere Khan Attacks from The Jungle Book
(Shere Khan’s fight with Baloo is definitely horrifying)
    - any terrifying scene from Dinosaur (the movie may be an underrated cult classic with dinosaurs, but it also has some terrifying moments)
    - the Bear Attack in The Fox and the Hound (a horrifying moment with a bear, since bears are bad news)
    - Gaston Stabbing Beast in Beauty and the Beast
    - Aurora touching the spinning wheel spindle in Sleeping Beauty
    - Mother Gothel’s Death in Tangled
    - Scroop’s Death in Treasure Planet
    - any scene with Shan Yu in Mulan (the dude is pretty horrifying)

I would honestly switch the positions of seashell story and Mr. Arrows death. The reason Arrow's death is for me more terrifying is because he knew that there was something off from the crew and got lost in the black hole from Mr. Scroop.
Looking back, Mr. Arrow deserved much beter than this. I would still be traumatized if he was taken out in hand to hand combat or getting blasted if he was still on the ship, but it would be much more heroic, since he was the reason why Jim had a few trusting issues with Silver and Scroop.

I'm sorry but, how can a bunch of cute, innocent, naive, and unsuspecting baby oysters being devoured by a ravenous and manipulative walrus offscreen be more terrifying than a respected and loyal first mate being sucked into a black hole while screaming in doom, all thanks to one scary, evil, bloodthirsty, murderous, merciless, cruel, cold-hearted, sadistic, and psychotic spider-like alien pirate? 🤨
I mean, we don't even hear the poor oysters scream as they're being eaten alive. In one shot, we see them still gathered around the table as the walrus is about to stuff them all in his huge mouth in one sitting, then cut to the carpenter finishing preperations for the meal and in the next shot, they're in the walrus' stomach. So that's not considered scary enough to surpass the one moment in Treasure Planet.

I don't think the one from The Aristocats really belongs, to be honest. Same with the Great Mouse Detective scene with the cat eating the mouse. Just aren't exactly scary to me. Quite a few I thought should be on here but weren't are these, in no particular order:
    -The earthquake scene from Fantasia
-The scene from Sleeping Beauty where Maleficent puts Aurora in a trance
-The whole fire scene and final fight (not just the part where Scar gets eaten) from The Lion King
-Maurice losing his way in the forest in Beauty and the Beast
-When Rabbit gets lost in the forest in Winnie the Pooh
    -Chernabog's segment in Fantasia
-The forest fire scene in Bambi
-This one's more specific, but something about the fact that Dragon Maleficent's fire breath was powerful enough to instantly disintegrate the brick bridge while fighting Prince Phillip has always disturbed me for some reason
-Basically every scene with Forte from Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas...just his size and the way his face looks and moves gives me the heebie jeebies.

One terrifying scene you forgot was McLeach's death. I mean, for crying out loud, he fell into a body of water that was home to a bunch of saltwater crocodiles, got chased down by them as he was pulled along by the water current, and almost never saw them coming because Joanna was covering his eyes at first before she escaped to safety. He barely was able to fight them off and no doubt had a few close calls to being torn apart, and when they finally left him alone, he thought he it was because they decided he wasn't worth the effort... Only to then see Joanna waving at him, turn to look behind him, and realize that the crocodiles left not because he wasn't worth the effort, but because they were getting closer to a huge waterfall. The terror sinks in for him as he tries to swim away, but by that point it's too late for him. The currents are too strong, and he goes over.

Rourke's Transformation is really just giving chills. After listening to the music of the scene endless times, i always had chills from it. After seeing the scene itself, i had more chills.
Far scarier is that HE SURVIVES.
Being an average human that can survive a literal godly crystal that could probably turn you into an actual crystal, and you'd shatter right in placeis utterly horrifying. I imagine the pain he actually felt when getting his organism burnt alive, alongside his skin turning into blue shiny crystal. Although crystalized rourke didn't hold on for a while, and got caught under a propeller in like 3 seconds, the transformation was still a fate worse than death for rourke.
