"I went to Trinity because the 78 bus terminus was there". As a working class Dub i had NO idea about universities. In primary school, i thought that Trinity College was a secondary school, when asked what school i would go to after primary, i replied: "Trinity College Sir" and as an 11 year old i was punched around the classroom for having the temerity to think i had the breeding and the IQ to go to such an exalted place. I have passed Trinity everyday of my life, and i have never gone inside.
Nothing special about Trinity College except it's packed to the rafters with arseholes that view the plain people of Ireland with contempt, scorn and ridicule. Once these Trinity College arseholes graduate, they're off to the civil service and into jobs for life.
An elitist university, which my wife even acknowledges, and she a pharmacy graduate. Grew up in Dublin and remember being told as a teenager in the mid 80s, “well you’re not going to university”. Grafted for years in an out of various jobs, took alternative route and did various 3rd level courses at night elsewhere. Ironically, my first time on the grounds of Trinity was at the Interpol gig a couple of weeks ago. Probably won’t be back though. At this stage in my life, I feel I haven’t missed out, although I probably thought I did for a time when I was younger. Best to get on with life and make the most of what comes your way.
I love the idea of the students of The Student Union being addressed from the steps of the main entry to the school as traditionally, such grand stairs were proportioned for just such occasions.
After 40 years I made this video about one of the countries that I Love the Most… Ireland. My daughter just visited the Green Emerald last week and that was my driver to make this video!!! If I have to mention two events that marked my life while in Ireland … Taking part in Saint Patrick’s Parade was one of them and secondly to be invited to the Late Late Show magically conducted by the best TV presenter I ever met! Gay Byrne!!! With my most sincere and warm feelings for my friends in Ireland! May this New Year bring Health and Happiness to All Irish people!! Isn't life gas altogether, he read a prayer for the Pope. Good holy Joe🙏🙏Now at every opportunity he lambastes the church. Another conversion on the road to Damascus 😂😂
Joe Duffy looks like the love child of Brendan Grace & Gerry Adams.

RIP Gay Byrne
What did Gay see in this Duffoon?
Joe duffy is still as contrastive as ever
Now still motoring in 2022 xx
The time Joe Duffy had his beard.
I remember the night when he came in the programme.
Duffy had studied gas, and now 'copies' Byrne as often as the chance presents itself.
