are u allow to play a soft ball with it landing in de new 1.5feet zone? or is it just a no go zone? For my understanding its a zone you can’t step in, but can you play a ball in or hang above the zone to play it?
The thing that my friends and I argue about most is the rim. We hit the rim all the time and do not know what the rules are for hitting it, whether from the side or from above. Could someone exlain?
Hitting the rim is not legal! The tricky part is to differentiate when the ball hits the rim versus the pocket. My rule of thumb is the noise test. Hitting the rim makes a very distinctive sound.
@@zinvor123 Perfect, thank you so much! I am amazed that not one single instructional video about spikeball addresses hitting the rim even though when my friends and I play, we hit it all the time. So then do I understand correctly, that even if the ball does hit the pocket AND the rim, it still does not count? It has to be a clear pocket shot for it to be legal?
We played this weekend for the first time and has the same issue. We called hitting the outside rim as not a fair ball so the play ended and point was given. If we hit the inside rim we would just call no point and play ended.
@@danny4one5 those are the house rules my friends have been playing by so far, exactly as you described. Yeah, I guess the most definitive answer I got is that any rim is a turnover and a point to the opponent
@@marcuscarpenter7230 You always get 2 serves. Unless there is a disagreement between the two teams or there is a 'hinder' called on the play. Each player will get 2 attempts to land a clean serve, no matter the fault.
Those mountains are insane
The problem most of our friends have is we spike it on a return and the ball would bounce far but not high.
Wait, doesn’t serving over the head not count as a clean serve
never played spikeball before but registered in a tournament that starts in 3 hours and now i know the rules so i should be unbeatable
How’d it go
Didga win???
How many championships did you win that day? If less than 3 then you did not pay attention to video

If the ball is going to double bounce, can you hit it off the net to prevent it?
