Moxi are made off a man’s foot versus the Chaya are made specifically for women. Chaya are the only manufacturer that make skates designed for women anatomically.
I bought the Chaya Melrose Deluxe in Ruby Red and it has the adjustable toe stop. Some colors do not. Also, my Chaya's have a metal plate. I don't like synthetic materials in any shoe or boot, but you are right about the comfort with the Chaya. If Chaya would come out with a leather or suede boot they's take over, IMO. Seriously Chaya, offer us a suede boot. Someone gifted me some very low price point skates and they are okay but the Chaya's are so much easier to skate in. These are fantastic skates and I'm a beginner. Also, I think these are safe skates. That's important at any age, but especially when you're about to turn 64. I love my Chaya's.
I got my Beach Bunnies a month ago, I'm a beginner but got comfortable with them quickly, including break in. The plates do feel heavy, but it's great way to strengthen your core and legs! These boots are shaped very differently so it would definitely be up to preference if you can afford to buy both and try both. Chaya pricing seems a little all over the place, I've seen them as low as $100 and as high as $200. Moxis are $150 retail but some people are reselling with insane price hikes.
thank you SO much for this detailed review! It's so hard to figure out the sizing because different sites had different size charts for the Chaya skates! :)
Thank you so so much for this extremely helpful review and your insight! I just bought the Chaya skates and from the looks of it so far, it seems to be way better than the Moxi Beach Bunny I have no idea why they aren’t hyped up more, they seem so much more comfortable and honestly cuter, lol! I’m so excited to use my new Chayas! They are my first pair☺️
Hi, nice video!! Do you dance skate? I'm at size 9 womens and sometimes an 8 1/2 wide , what size do you think I should get please? Do you think the beach bunnies are good for dance skating ?
Man, looks like I'm about to buy my 3rd pair in 2 weeks lol. I started with baby blue and maroon Candi Girl skates and they're so adorable but KILL my wider feet. So I bought a pair of Moxi Panthers and they're a little wider and more comfortable but still hurt at the pinky toe. I ordered some gel toe sleeves and it helps a little but I'm still not satisfied as far as comfort. I can tell by looking how much wider your Chaya skates are than those Moxis. We bought our daughter some Chayas the other day and she says they're super comfortable. So yeah I guess that'll be my next one to try... thanks for the review!! Xx
Thank you for your review, however maybe idk skate in them and do a review update? I'm not buying skates for how it looks as much as how it FEELS to skate in them. Thank you.
Quick Question: Pls help me decide on what type of Roller Skate I should get. I am stuck between Chaya Melrose Deluxe/Elite Roller Skates in Cobalt Blue or Sherbert Lime or Moxi Beach Bunny Skates in Periwinkle. I am not a beginner skater nor an intermediate kind off in the middle I know the basics that I learned on a toy skate but its time to upgrade. I am looking for a skate that is good for a little bit of recreational skating, lifestyle skating, cruising on the street and some tricks then and there not to crazy. I will mostly be using then outside in my neighborhood. I want a comfortable boot but stiff enough for ankle support. Something that will last me a long time and have a good toe stopper as well. If you have any other recommendations feel free to tell me.
Some of them do, depending on the type of Chaya skate you buy. The one in the video has an adjustable toe stop and a really good one at that. I have a pair of the same skates and I honestly think they’re the best pair of skates you can buy for the money.
@@doglover32993 Oh my god thank you for answering! I just bought a pair of the melrose one and I was scared that these didn't have an adjustable toe stop even though they were expensive. Thanks again for reassuring me :D
Hello! I love your video, very informative! I have the chaya skates, however, my left foot is wide and they sort of pinch my toes a little when I skate. The right foot fits just fine. Any advice on how I can sort of widening the front of the boot?
I’ve been looking into getting some Beach Bunnies for a while now. I’ve done a good amount of research, enough to tell that these are great beginner skates. But then I’d read somewhere about Chaya being a good reputable brand, which is something I like when shopping. So I’m glad there’s a comparison of both here. I really appreciate that! I’ve seen Beach Bunnies a ton over the past few weeks, but when you brought out the Chaya skate, I was really starting to get into it. Unfortunately though, the appeal was lost when you put it side-by-side. I think I’m just that much in love with the thought of owning a pair of Beach Bunnies! 😍😍😍
The Chaya really is a better skate, if you’re still deciding considering looking at the other color options for the Chaya Melrose ELITES. The extra padding around the ankle makes them leagues more comfortable. And remember that these moxis are not the stock ones. They are super cute lol so I get it.
When I have ordered Moxi Rainbow Skates for size 7 because I'm actually 6 in half with my actual size I thought it was gonna fit right but it was to big so I have to exchange it to size 6 and 6 fits better and I have Chaya on the way and ordered size 37 and I have narrow feet. Thank you and I believe you that Chaya fits better on women with actual shoes size than Moxi and Moxi are heavy and hard to stop with
Yes, because of the thick paddings, socks and the fact skates have to be snug, it’s gonna be warm. I live in Singapore and wearing this skates are uncomfortable even though their snug because of the temperature.
These are cute and very helpful! Just a few questions. 1) if I’m a US woman 8, which bunny size should I get? 2) for the heart stopper, did you use long stem or short stem? Thank you!
This video was really helpful, thank you so much! I've been wanting to get new skates, and was between these two models :) The Chaya's are actually cheaper where I'm ordering them from, so I'll be going with those! 🌷
They're not more expensive, they are definitely lighter though. Nylon plates, although good, are cheaper and less durable than most aluminum/magnesium plates.
It's not your average shitty plastic like might be found on bargain kids skates, it's a fibreglass reinforced plastic which has a massive variety of uses and is definitely strong enough to be safe for skating. Obviously if you prefer the feel of a metal plate that's up to you, I just felt it'd be helpful to leave some extra info so that anyone else that sees your comment after buying these isn't worrying too much about the safety of their skates.
@@emmao6578 thank you for that! I heard the company was owned by a skater I’m sure they would your crappy plastic on their skates. Especially at that price, at least I would hope not

thank you!
The Candi Grl skates 🛼 and the Chayas are more comparable to each other. Rather than the Moxi vs Chaya 🤷🏻♀️
Its a nylon-fibreglass plate, not plastic.
It’s lighter and ideal for a skate
thanks for clarifying!
Are those suitable for a skate park? :)
@@0h0h0h0 Yes it's the same plate as they use on their park skates, the Jump and Karma ones

this model in particular does! it needs a specific tool to loosen them which I still need to get!
@@bossbratbimbo For me, the tool came with the skates.
the tool for the toe stop bolt is just an allen key !!☺️ mine came with the tool but it's just a normal allen key haha
The Chaya's already have a scuff resistant toe..that's what that line is.

Use a wooden shoe stretcher on ball of skate
