Home Protection Jar Spell that works!

- Hi lovelies,
I found a Home Protection Jar Spell that worked really well for me! I got the spell off the Wonderlust Coven forum and tweaked it a tiny bit. It's as follows:
Ingredients-
A sizable jar
1/2 cup to 1 cup of salt (depending on the size of your jar)
3 cloves of garlic
9 bay leaves
7 tsp dried basil
4 tsp dill seeds (I used dill leaves)
1 tsp or 2 star anise
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp fennel (I used fennel seeds)
Optional-
9 sharp things like tacks or nails (my addition)
A piece of quartz to amplify and connect the energies in the jar
Instructions-
1.) Add items to the bowl in the following order. As you add each ingredient, tell the ingredient what it will be added to the jar for specifically.
Add salt and recite "Salt that protects from general harm, protect my home and all within."
Add garlic and recite "Garlic that protects from theft and bad health, protect my home and all within."
Add bay and recite "Bay that protects from harmful energies, protect my home and all within."
Add basil and recite "Basil that protects from unwanted spirits, protect my home and all within."
Add dill seeds and recite "Dill seeds that protect from disease, protect my home and all within."
Add black pepper and recite "Black pepper that protects from unwanted people, protect my home and all within"
Add anise and recite "Anise that protects from the evil eye, protect my home and all within."
Add fennel and recite "Fennel that protects from curses and meddling individuals, protect my home and all within."
For optional ingredients:
Add 9 nails and recite “9 nails to protect my property, home and all within it’s boundaries”. (I added this one)
-Add quartz piece and recite "Quartz that amplifies and connects energy, protect my home and all within.”
2.) Mix the ingredients in your bowl with your hands for 5 minutes while visualizing your home being safe and comfortable and protected.
3.) Pour the ingredients into your jar.
4.) Place the jar near your door a little out of sight so it isn't disturbed much. (place near the door used most often.)
5.) As you place the jar state the following, "Salt and herbs, 9 times 9, guard now this home of mine."

Thank you so much. I'm dealing with a very scary situation where someone took pics of me sleeping through my window. After feeling unsafe all of my life and a ton of stressful things going on as of late, it was so scary to then have THIS happen on top of that :( very very creepy. Thank you so much for posting this... None of my family are the type to do spells so I will have to do this when I get a moment to myself, but thank you... I was taking a walk this evening after finding out that my neighbor had a similar experience the same day and I kept thinking 'I need to do a protection spell', whiiiiiich then led me to find this vid! :D As a Hellenic Polytheist but not a witch in particular, this will be my very first one.

No, we did not catch them and we do not know who they are :/ scary stuff. Thank you! I did feel a lot better after doing the spell and hope that that continues! So far I am just playing it as safe as possible by making sure the windows are covered.

For a space, and protection, placing them in an area. For instance, at the front door. Or if I'm doing some dreamwork I might have them somewhere in the bedroom for that - they are both great for dreamwork too. Just tuning into the spaces and seeing how to work with them, what they might represent. The kitchen tends to be good for things like nourishment, health, wellbeing, worth protecting too. I believe they used to be scattered around doorways and windows to give protection, or carried on person too, but nowadays we can just have a bowl or jar, or even bag fairly discreetly. They're very good for creating a safe space for connecting in altar work too.

Hi Lindsey! Yes, there are lots of spell bottles you can bury in your yard. You could bury this near your door if you chose to and it felt right. I'd just remember to unbury at some point. xoxo, Aurora
I will be moving soon and will definitely do this - prevention is better than cure. A question, you mentioned doing it on a full moon and did it outside. Does it only have to be made by the full moon or do you leave it out there all night to charge? Thanks so much.
Hi Michelle, I did not leave it outside to charge, I just did it under the full moon. You don't technically have to go by a lunar phase if you don't have that in your practice but many people use the energy of the Full Moon to enhance a spells energy. So, it depends on your preference. xo, Aurora

Is so if you seal the jar with candle wax to make it waterproof you can bury it?
You could try that! Be sure that the wax is non-toxic so it won't pollute your soil. :) Aurora

Back to the show...how long do you think or suggest leaving the jar outside for ? I'm a newbie 🤪 be gentle 😉🤗
Hi Chateau! Nice to meet you! And thanks for your comment. :). I will be leaving it there for awhile- the duration I live in this place. And I'm putting the jar inside rather than outside because humidity and salt just won't go together. I think the best way to decide timing is taking the situation at hand- are you working for general protection or a specific problem? Then you monitor your feelings around it. You'll know when it's done its job for you when your feelings have changed or you don't even think about the jar anymore. At that point, if you feel like it, you can unwind your spell and ground the ingredients. If the feelings come back then just do another one. Also, sometimes a spell will lose it's power for you- like you look at the jar and it feels old and dull to you (stagnant)- that would be another way to determine when to get rid of it or start over. I hope this helps!
What can I use replacing Fennel?
There are many things: nettle, zinc, hydrangea flowers, thistle....if you don't have access to any of these try doing a quick google search and see what you have around you that can work. xo, Aurora

Can someone tell me what it means to find “ two small white child’s socks cut off at the top and filled with cloves ( I can’t remember how many ) and sown with red thread.
These socks were placed outside my house in the back . Thank you.

My next door neighbor was harassing us so I used this spell on the side of the house that faces him. :)

Thank you for this I also been dealing with neighbors from hell very toxic people they teamed up with other couple who major hate me and my 2 kids plus grandkids they have big loud druck parties this been going on for years just gets worst as time goes on this other couple they teamed up with recently ganged on my daughter right outside my house and the cops side for them even tho they really hurt my daughter stabbed her in the face with her car key her husband stomping on her face kicking her in the head, and now their the victims
Holy crap! I hope your daughter is ok. Have you gotten the police involved more than this one time? I don't know where you are but can you get a restraining order? It seems like you should be able to.

Hi there I remember, You can put it wherever works for your situation. The important thing is your connection with the jar. If you're afraid your family is going to see it then that will interrupt your connection with the purpose of what it's meant to do. You can try burying it near the door if that is something that can work for you too. Just remember where you bury it so you can pull it out later when you're finished with it or want to refresh it. Glad your rude neighbor is readjusting his behavior. I call it a hostile environment.
Well, yeah, he's hostile to just about everyone. I don't know that there is really going to be any real change except he'll feel more secluded which I'm intending will make us invisible to him. But, it already feels better. He was putting cement blocks in our trashcans for awhile so they were hard to move and also put other trash that he'd collected off streets in them. He overturned the trashcans in our front yard, dragged his own trashcans near our bedroom windows and would slam the lids on them at 3am in the morning and of course, he left the dead animals. Other neighbors have had issues with him too. I hope he can find a less miserable life for himself.
Would ground anise work as well if I couldn't get star anise?
Yes. :) In general though, if you happened to have options between different kinds of an herb pick the one that you have the strongest connection to.

Quick question but do you crush it up then put it in a jar?
I didn't. I just put the whole cloves in without peeling them but do what feels right to you. If, say, you only had garlic powder on hand instead of whole garlic cloves then you could improvise and use that and it would already be dried and dispersed. There's no wrong way. Just do what feels right to you.

Were can I learn more about these spells?
There are lots of books and posts on the internet with spells that you can use. In terms of witchcraft and how to 'power' them most how to witchcraft books will give you a rundown. Here's a video with a bunch you may want to check out: ruclips.net/video/4TgpzDCt_bg/видео.html. Once you get a sense of what to do then you can start making your own too :). Really, the most important thing when choosing a spell is that you feel connected to it because the most important ingredient is your intention. I like to think of the intention like the train and the spell as the tracks....

Thanks for your comments, Jupiter Skies! For some reason I can see them on my notifications but they aren't here in the comments. So, if you don't have ingredients you can use others that you do have. You can charge them the same. Just do a google search for correspondences that might match what you want to charge it for. You could also just simplify the spell and leave out what you don't have and alter the wording.... When your spell is finished you could burn or bury it and then cleanse your quartz using whatever method you like (incense, sunlight, rainwater, selenite, etc.)
