I made a small spell jar for my daughters and granddaughter. I gave them as protection bottles. I reinforced them with black salt and added pink Himalayan salt for love.
I just made a new spell jar yesterday. It was a spell jar of happiness as I’ve been feeling down recently. I put chips of sunstone, lavender, marigolds, rose petals, cinnamon and some clipped hair of mine. I then sealed it with red sealing wax. I like the idea of just three ingredients so I’ll try that next time. Thank you Ginny for your very helpful videos!!
I have previously used an old roman spell jar recipe for protection. It is supposed to be hidden and the magic is said to only work as long as it is. The ingredients were consecrated salt and water, (the water I collected under the Leonid's meteor shower for bravery) vinegar and thorns. It is said to draw in, impale and drown any evil forces that haunt the space it is hidden in. The original recipe had just the salt vinegar and thorns but I added the water as I always use consecrated salt and water for all of my spells as a base.
I've found that, if you're like me and mainly have access to dried forms of ingredients rather than fresh, writing your intention or a sigil on a bay leaf and then lighting it during your ritual works as an alternative to rolling up the leaf if it will only rip and crumble! ^^ This video was so calming to watch and put me in the proper mindset for my craft :)
I’ll be making my first spell bottles for protection for my son who will be driving across country to move ❤ I will use pink salt, cinnamon, black tourmaline, tigers eye & selenite
I’m doing some for my beautiful child 🥰✨ healing, confidence, protection, self love, good luck, strength & friendship. Some for my partner ♥️✨🥰 healing, confidence, self love, protection, grief, peace, strength & good luck. Some for me ♥️🥰✨ healing, strength, confidence, protection, good luck & spiritual connection. It’s been a rough couple of years for us all ♥️
This is helpful, thank you! I just made my very first money spell jar. I put salt, 8 coins (8 for infinity), bay leaf with my intention written, jade, pyrite, and cinnamon powder. I then sealed it with green candle wax 🤍
I like getting the wee glass bottles for liquor from airlines or liquor stores especially around Christmas. Perfect stocking stuffers! I’m not much of a drinker, so I don’t need a large bottle of anything and the wee bottles can be cleansed and used for spell bottles. It’s lovely seeing another older witch. I’ve only been practicing since the early 90 s and definitely not a hereditary witch, so it’s wonderful to compare my recipes to a more experienced lady. Thank you!
Thank you for your informative videos! I love cats and like to 'work with' their energy, as they say. I have 4 cats. I always pick up naturally shed claws and whiskers and place them in a container on my altar next to a statue of Bast. I'll drop some claws into a bottle for protective purposes. Also, they use their claws to grip things and pull it closer to them, so when I'm trying to draw something in like, let's say, money, or certain energies. I'll drop a whisker in for guidance if my working calls for it. In my car, I have a small jar. A pinch of black salt protection against intentional harm doers, be they human or not. (My personal blend of black salt is potent and has graveyard dirt in it too, and I don't use it often.) I have 3 cat whiskers for guidance, that I may find the right path and not get lost. (I have only lived in this are of my country for a year and a half and I still get lost when I venture past my little bubble!) I have a little rosemary for protection of accidental things like a crash or car trouble. I have a little lavender, a few citrine chips (for happiness and joy on the drive), and I sealed it when blue wax. (Blue because it flows like water, and I like to flow on the road instead of getting stuck in traffic!) But I use something cat in most of my workings.
I have made a lot over the years. I find that a great one for blessing a home is using the Scottish new year gifts. sugar, salt, some ash or coal, and a bit of spirits. I also find some chocolate works well in place of the spirits.
I made my first one the other night. I used honey, a slip of paper with my spell, paprika, and rose buds. Sealed with red wax. I have it set next to my crystal grid to keep it charged. I'm new to all this but that's what seemed right to me.
Just discovered your channel and I'm absolutely loving your videos! It's like learning from a family member. Thank you for sharing all of your wisdom! :)
I like using herbs, essential oils and stones or crystals together in a spell jar. I don't usually seal them (but you've given me an idea), what I do like though is to add a color coded ribbon around the neck of the jar... I work with incense too to cleanse the bottles.. I'd never thought of adjusting the smoke for the cleansing, I just use white sage, but again, I like your idea....
I've not made spell bottles yet I make Travel spell sachets that I put in our truck when we travel. I put lavender, salt, and clear quartz. They have worked so well for us. I also keep a rose quartz or clear quartz in cubby in truck at all times. We have so many truck issues I do believe my spell sachet and crystals have kept us safe. Even though truck has broken down on us it was the way it all happened, under normal circumstances we would have wrecked each time. The mechanics have said they didn't see how we were even driving it. I believe whole heartedly in the spell jars and sachets.
This was a very helpful video! I'm a foster kid and I'm planning on making some spell jars with my CASA this coming weekend, both of us are witches and this will be the first time doing anything of this sort together!
I use cinnamon stick, dragon ring, Basel oil, parchment paper to write intention, sea shell, dragons blood incense. Then I charge the spell by the full moon and sealing wax of silver
❤Hey Ginny. I'm rewatching this video nearly a year later, and I would like to share my personal correspondences to the items that I use in my spell jars as prompted by you at the end of this video. As I'm from Canada, we have slightly differing views on trees to the Celtic Ogham, and bay is only affordably accessible in dried forms, so they don't make for best petitions if they crumble upon cramming it into a tiny jar Prosperity: Conifer needles, gum, bark, cones - resilient, adaptable, rapid growth, evergreen, health. Red staghorn sumac - buds are used in much the same way as conifers, colour magic with red for energy and passion, kitchen witchcraft = citrus flavours to awaken one's inner Sun God Salt - "salt of the Earth" mindset, humility, purity, preservation, cleansing Yellow/orange flowers - represents gold (wealth), the Sun (lifegiving energy), warmth, vitamins Citrus peels - the Sun, vitamins, wealth (citrus are imported, something that made them very expensive not too long ago), the scent of summer's abundance, zest of life Eggshells - the promise of new beginnings. In Elder Futhark runes, Gebo 🔸️ = egg or gift, both as an offering but one's talents and abilities (ex: that girl is gifted in music) Green tea leaves - calming, energizing, centering, earthing, soothing, comforting, and historically people built EMPIRES, fought wars and changed the world through the tea trade The reason for why I use pine is that it was used as a form of vitamin C in pre-globalised North America (warding off illness). As such, it was a stand-in for citrus fruits. This meant that you had more energy to work and earn a living instead of being home with a virus. It's bark and cones are scaly and armoured, acting as a protection against negative energies or influences. Conifers grow in arid tundras, boreal forests, ditches and pretty much anywhere else. They are a sign of resilience and stoicism against the elements and those who wish you harm. They stand strong against the deadly grip of winter while others don't. They grow rapidly and are abundant where I live. As such, it's very easy to me find a freshly severed branch that I can use as a temporary wand (I only use wet, green wood as it conducts energy better than dry wood); I can pluck a couple needles from a cedar, spruce or pine without the fear of harming it, more often collecting fallen foliage as a sign of respect to the tree; dried sap (gum) forms in massive scabs on barks and can be used for incense, in teas as an expectorant and immune booster, as natural glue, in spell jars, or tinctures etc. If one is healthy and well, one can make money more easily, and one has more energy to put towards passion projects. Love: Rose petals - no explanation needed Pink/green - heat Chakra, pink for nurturing, passion, and love for others (feminine aspect), green for abundance, growth, preservation of love for oneself (masculine aspect). We need both in our lives, to not lose ourselves, or put ourselves first in a relationship Lemon oil - zest and vigour Rosemary oil - cleansing away negativity while keeping the positive Tag locks - to program the spell to specific individuals Money: Pyrite chips/gold glitter - fools gold to represent the wealth you wish to draw in. The same applies to glitter Gray salt - a balance of the good and bad aspects of gaining wealth (for the fox to live, something must die), grounding colour reminds me of staying in-touch with reality and not get a big head. I don't use lavender or chamomile for anything other than things associated with rest and sleep. For me, they are ONLY associated with rest, calm and sleep. I also don't associate green with money. Our Canadian money is like monopoly bills, with only the $20 bill being green. For me, orange and gold are representative of money/wealth. And yellow is a high-vibrational colour that screams energy and joy! Mix that 2 and you get work that you're passionate about. Love your work, hope this helps?
Hi, I’m a recent subscriber and love what you share with us. I’d love a spell jar recipe that helps achieve “perfect timing” not for anything in particular just general all around good timing as I feel “timing” for me covers everything in life. I often ask people - if they were lucky enough to be granted one wish what would they wish for - most ask for money, some ask for health and some happiness, personally I would ask for “perfect timing” fabulous channel. Thank you x
Hi Ginny, I am a baby witch and I still in the early learning process. I loved this video about spell jars that I would love to make some for myself and family. One question, can we substitute a herb needed for a particular spell with a few drops of that herb essential oil if we don't have that herb in hand? Thanks
Does anybody know where to store spell jars? A lot of people have told me to bury them in the garden but I’d like to keep mine, would I just put them on my altar? This video was lovely :)
Hi ginny! I make safe travel spell jars that ride in my cars cup holder getting bounced around and constantly reactivated. Elderberry powder for protection from people that may not be of the highest light on my travels, A note with affirmations on it for safe travels and safe return. A small clear quartz crystal Cinnamon is good protection Ginger enhances all magic spells Bay leaf Chrysanthemum. Any of these in 3s or more if your intuition calls for it.
Hello! Thank you for your video, it's been really helpfull for my learning. I do have one question. You have talked about reinvigorating the spelljars, but how do you do that?
I put nat mag cinnamon basil fenugreek pyrite Crystal avventuri with quart citrine for Money Jair sea salt Moneyokey oil Money rain seal with a green candle wax’s placed underneath the bed
I'm in the process of crafting a fertility spell jar for my wife and I since we are having trouble conceiving. The ingredients are rose quartz, pink sea salt, rose petals and a piece of blessed paper from my mentor for stating intention. Any suggestions are welcome since ive been out of practice for a while
@GinnyMetheral idk why I'm just now seeing this. But update on jar, it was a success. We now in talks of ivf w/ someone and the other aspect came full circle too
Too many ingredients won’t be a problem if you ask first. The reason for the conflict comes from assuming that just because herbs A, D & F are all good for money, that automatically means they all want to work together. Tune in to the energies of that ingredient, state your goal and ask. If you’re well at it, they’ll start calling out at you like a crazy game show audience and you won’t have to spend time choosing which ones. Just a hint 🤷🏻♀️
Lovely! I was inspired by the wax tops - made a Spell to Sell today! I got out my S signature and applied onto the bottle and cloth on the side / wax in three colors on the cloth and twine top✨
HEY GINNY😘 As soon as u started explaining Spell Bottles I was saying I NEED one For Protection in Our Truck..My Hubby Is Just Like You! I swear he s gonna kill us both. I M MAKING SPELL BOTTLE N O W and hanging it from rearview mirror😉
Hello. I'm a baby witch and I wanted to do a protection spell jar for myself. I made one about 3 weeks ago. The next day I checked on the jar and all of the water that I had put inside the jar had somehow came out. Idk how it got out. The jar was closed and sealed with candle wax and the jar wasn't cracked. Instead of clear water the water had became brown. I didn't think much of it at the time but today when I checked the jar I saw that the inside of the jar looks like a spider web. Why did this happen? What does it mean? What do I do? How do I get rid of the jar?
Not sure if you’ll see this but can you share more info about the low energy of money. I’m trying to heal my relationship with money and allow myself to receive. But for some reason I have a shame attached to money and wealth
how do I "recharge" the speel jars? is it different for different spells? since I know that crystals need a full moon right? but what if there are only hearbs and salt in there?
Hello Ginny! Thank you for this video. I have a question, what do you think about adding your blood or some element that represents the witch, so the spell protects them specifically?
I'm a baby witch but I have difficulties of getting some ingredients for my spell jars. They're very rare in my country and I often get items by deliveries. I'm wondering if Rosemary is okay to replace my other missing ingredients and its properties. Also, can I use any type of incense stick to cleanse my jars? I only have cinnamon, anise, sea salt, and table salt. While the other few are currently on delivery.
Not trying to step on any toes here, but I can pass on to you Charluvss that I use items I associate with spells. It can be as simple as a piece of colored cloth, a green piece of grass, a leaf of a tree, or colored yarn. Even as simple as a colored piece of paper. Candles can be as simple as birthday candles if that is all that is available. The items aren't as important as the intent is. Hope this helps. Blessings and energy to you and your journey.
hi Ginny, I am wondering what brand of essential oils I can buy to make my own spell bottles. Will undiluted oils damage the crystals and herbs in the bottle?
I once made one for protection, cleansing of the surrounding energy and attract good energy. I had the content of 2 tea bags of sage eucalyptus tea (sage 50%, liquorice, orange leaves, eucalyptus) that was about 1.5 teaspoons 1 tsp sea salt 1 tsp rosemary 1 bay leaf 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper used. Unfortunately, my glass was much too big, didn't have a smaller one, and now it looks as if only the bottom is covered. Can I open it up again and pour it into a smaller glass? So it doesn't look as nice as it is right now. Is that halfway possible, or are three tasks too many for one glass? Should I have made three separate ones? So these tea bags finally had a purpose, i don't like the tea at all, i found out with them, that i don't like eucalyptus with sage together. I also took the tea bags because the other herbs in them hopefully slow down the sage a little and also protect something and attract good things and keep unpleasant things away. Sage is known for making a clean sweep and leaving a neutral space with nothing behind, and then all sorts of things can lodge in there.
Sounds like three tasks too many to me, however you might be SERIOUSLY good and therefore it will work, but if you are fairly new then I would suggest do the spells separately again.
Question.... I am doing a traditional spell bottle for protection to bury in the corner of our property (with sharp things and my urine as I own the house). Once I put it in the ground, will I need to reinvigorate it by digging it up every year? Thank you for this video! I have to send this to a couple people! 😉
I have an important job interview 2 days after so I want to make a success spell jar. I want to know that We have take success spell jar with us to an interview or we can keep it in home?
Is it bad that I sometimes doubt the fact of my spell jars working? I really want to belive that they work but I it's hard when you can't see or feel results..
I wrote my intentions on a bay leaf but had no choice but to tear it in pieces to get it in the bottle because it was so crumbly. Is that ok? Ripping up a bay leaf?
I write them on a small peice of parchment paper and roll it up, I tap my pinky finger on the rim of an essential oil I am using and “ stamp” it onto to words I’ve written to seal them to the parchment with my fingerprint before rolling it up and placing into the jar.
@@greeneyedlady5580 Yes, the Dollar Tree or now the $1.25 Tree LOL is awesome for these little bottles. I just recently made some Honeysuckle Abundance and Prosperity Oil and decanted my large bottle of oil into these small jars today. If only I had some Citrine chips to add to each bottle.
@@Stariana19 Ooh, honeysuckle abundance and prosperity oil sounds really awesome! I just got some more of the Dollar Tree jars. You can't beat 4 for $1.25 with a tight fighting screw on lid for potions. I needed some jars that are somewhat larger for making witch bottles, and I found them at Hobby Lobby last week for $1 - $1.25 while they were having a 50% off sale. #ThriftyWitchy
I made a small spell jar for my daughters and granddaughter. I gave them as protection bottles. I reinforced them with black salt and added pink Himalayan salt for love.
Protection jar--- cayenne powder, black pepper, hair and some salt
I just made a new spell jar yesterday. It was a spell jar of happiness as I’ve been feeling down recently. I put chips of sunstone, lavender, marigolds, rose petals, cinnamon and some clipped hair of mine. I then sealed it with red sealing wax. I like the idea of just three ingredients so I’ll try that next time. Thank you Ginny for your very helpful videos!!
SOUNDS VERY CHEERFULL😊
I’m a baby witch and I appreciate you making this
I have previously used an old roman spell jar recipe for protection.

I have made a lot over the years. I find that a great one for blessing a home is using the Scottish new year gifts. sugar, salt, some ash or coal, and a bit of spirits. I also find some chocolate works well in place of the spirits.

Thanks and welcome
Ty glad I found you!
QUESTION! please I need to know if it's safe and okay to add your hair inside the spell bottle just to make sure the spell bottle knows it's yours????
yes it is - spells are all about intent so if you add good intent then it will be fine
Really like your positive energy.
Really enjoyed that. I’m new to yr channe, and really loving it

If you’re well at it, they’ll start calling out at you like a crazy game show audience and you won’t have to spend time choosing which ones. Just a hint 🤷🏻♀️
My husband is a truck driver . Can I do one for protection and prosperity to hang in his truck? Thank you in advance! 💜💫
good idea - that is the perfect place for it.
I'm obsessed with your channel!

Lovely! I was inspired by the wax tops - made a Spell to Sell today! I got out my S signature and applied onto the bottle and cloth on the side / wax in three colors on the cloth and twine top✨
Love it! Thank you for sharing.
How do you re-energize spell bottles? I know you said spring was the best time to do it, but HOW do you do it?
Cast a circle place the jar in the circle and then pull the energy of the world and place it into the spell.
You are a wealth of knowledge! Blessings to you Ginny🧙🏻♀️
if i don’t have pink salt will regular salt work?
What did you use in your anti smoking spell? Would love to try that for myself!
Love this video…so well explained. Thankyou Ginny 🤍 Blessings xx

It seems that the negative energy has gone into the jar, take the jar outside and bury it and this will protect you from it.
Not sure if you’ll see this but can you share more info about the low energy of money. I’m trying to heal my relationship with money and allow myself to receive. But for some reason I have a shame attached to money and wealth
how do I "recharge" the speel jars? is it different for different spells? since I know that crystals need a full moon right? but what if there are only hearbs and salt in there?
simply hold onto them and repeat your intention for the jar in your mind....
Yes I love the spell bottles xxx
I wanna make a protection spell jar for someone else soo do i need to put the hair of him ?

Hello Ginny! Thank you for this video. I have a question, what do you think about adding your blood or some element that represents the witch, so the spell protects them specifically?
how do i do a come back to me love spell for spell bags?
I would love to know the stop smoking spell.
How do the spells work if you give it to someone?
hi Ginny, I am wondering what brand of essential oils I can buy to make my own spell bottles. Will undiluted oils damage the crystals and herbs in the bottle?
is sealing the jar important. what what happens if not sealed?
not important if it is not sealed it just falls out.
@@GinnyMetheral Do you have to seal it with wax? And will the spell still work if not?
What should I do if I don't have the red clover ???
I once made one for protection, cleansing of the surrounding energy and attract good energy.
I had the content of 2 tea bags of sage eucalyptus tea (sage 50%, liquorice, orange leaves, eucalyptus) that was about 1.5 teaspoons
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp rosemary
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper used.
Can I use plastic bottle instead of glass
Yes, it doesn't matter what material your jar or bottle is as long as it has a lid (I think)
Could you make a video on a spell jar for a uneasy gut feeling? I get a sick uneasy feeling a lot.
I think that you need to pay attention to the feeling - learn what it is telling you and the uneasiness will go away,
Thankyou for sharing xxx
Hey how to do love spell??
Question.... I am doing a traditional spell bottle for protection to bury in the corner of our property (with sharp things and my urine as I own the house). Once I put it in the ground, will I need to reinvigorate it by digging it up every year?
Thank you for this video! I have to send this to a couple people! 😉
Protection please
I have an important job interview 2 days after so I want to make a success spell jar. I want to know that We have take success spell jar with us to an interview or we can keep it in home?
Absolutely take it with you it is a travelling spell after all
Do you have any jars for health?
Is it bad that I sometimes doubt the fact of my spell jars working? I really want to belive that they work but I it's hard when you can't see or feel results..
Do we need to fill up the spell bottle with herbs??
Thank you🪄🙏🙏
Shouldnt it be green for luck ?
I wrote my intentions on a bay leaf but had no choice but to tear it in pieces to get it in the bottle because it was so crumbly. Is that ok? Ripping up a bay leaf?
I write them on a small peice of parchment paper and roll it up, I tap my pinky finger on the rim of an essential oil I am using and “ stamp” it onto to words I’ve written to seal them to the parchment with my fingerprint before rolling it up and placing into the jar.
For protection please
Where can you get the spell jars please?
Amazon or craft shops
I get the little tiny ones at the Dollar Tree in the US. I have to stock up on the semi-rare occasions when they're in stock.
#ThriftyWitchy
what size bottles are you using?
Any size will do these are very small ones though - probably hold a spoon of water.
Do you mix the herb or layer the herbs
you can do either - whatever you prefer.
Would you recommend using fake money?
I love your alter
