My Gracie just got a baby friend and I’m working with her. She’s a tough cookie to crack. She’s just scared of everything. Gracie is my 2 year old fallow and she’s just happy all the time.
If your new baby came from an aviary instead of inside someone's home, then she is going to have more trouble trusting humans and indoor sounds and activities. Hopefully, Gracie will give the baby more confidence. Good luck!
@@RosieBirds thank you! Rosie came from the same breeder, but she’s only 3 months old. Gracie loves watching your channel. I have videos of her watching you feed the babies and she’ll sit in front of the iPad and just watch you 😂❤️
Hello Happy New Years!!!! 🎉😊❤I love watching your videos and it made me buy my first rosey bourke on dec 31,2022. She’s only 12 weeks old and she still scared of me. Lol ❤
Hi Marta, Was she raised in an aviary and not indoors with people around? If so, it will be more difficult to make her trust you. But, keep talking sweetly to her several times every day. Once she is used to you, offer her treats in your hand. Mine love Rice Chex cereal and golden spray millet (make sure it's not old gray stuff from a grocery or pet store). Birds are flock animals so she will be happiest if she has another feathered companion. If you can find a hand fed Bourke, that one would help tame her. However, any other Bourke will keep her happier and give her more confidence. People cannot be present 24/7 like another bird is. I always recommend at least two birds. A single bird is going to be a lonely bird too much of the time. Best of luck.
Thank u so much and no she was hand raised in a home and they hand fed her and her siblings. Little by little I will get her get used to me. 🥰☺️ I give her fresh millet and she eat out of my hand. I’m getting another one next month. So she won’t be alone. 😊
